Nice vid and comparison . Although I haven't ridden a Grom ( or Monkey for that matter ) , I did ride the Kawasaki Z125 , and don't care for it , my eyes are on the Monkey !!! Wish I could take one for a test ride !!!

I got the Honda Monkey and the money des not include shipping, dealer set up, tax .license, shipping. No one is getting a Honda Monkey for 4K. I payed $6,700 USD out the door for a Monkey in 2023. And was glad to get it. 2023 6/13/2023
I thought between Monkey and Grom for about 15 minutes. Monkey won, definitely. Monkey is a standard and original, everything else is just better or worse imitations.

Hi , anyone who is interested , ive a Honda monkeybike and 2 groms , all 5speed models , groms are the best road bike ,but only just , the monkey is awesome and the seat is a winner , and it gets attention everywhere you go , also I’ve a few benelli tnt and their great too , anyone thinking of going for a mini bike ,go for it you’ll have a riot , their a total blast ,you won’t regret it 🏍🏍👍👍
2021 Grom and 2022 on Monkey have a new long stroke 5 speed engine. It also has higher compression and an oil filter. Not much parts interchangeable, the head studs are much closer to the piston on the new model so only 145cc big bore kits are possible.
@Turkishpartyboy my friend I am between grom , dax and monkey.( I have supercub , rebel 500 and forza 750 dct ). I can't decide which mini moto .all of them have special character.
I would still go with the grom it’s honestly the size that does it for me! If you want the power you could always swap the 300 engine into the grom they sell complete kits
In my opinion I would believe that you should be able to swap all engines no problem a slight modification might be necessary but if a grom can fit a 300 or 250cc engine I don’t see why you can’t use any other grom or monkey engine without much effort
@@turkishpartyboy its possible with 250/300 because they’re making convertion brackets for them. Don’t see that on the original engines. But yeah, only wiring loom’s different…so if you buy a complete NG Grom u should be OK then
the grom is much higher now 4600,00 Monkey is at 6000.00 so this is 2023 and just becouse the speed limet is 80 or65 miles per hr dose not mean you hhave to go that fast you can drive at 25 mph , you people that say you cant drive your grom or monky on hwy need to reed the law
The Grom has foot pegs for a passenger and can hold more weight and has a larger seat so you can ride two up if ever needed. Important fact.

More comfortable because it has dual shocks?? Thicker seat probably helps more. Quality of the single, or dual, shocks is way more important.
The styling of the monkey is reminiscent of the old z50's, which is perhaps the most durable motorcycle ever created.
Those z50s still sell for a good amount of money and they move for a 50

I rode the z as well but was not a fan of the sitting position felt uncomfortable. If you are looking for comfort the monkey is the #1 choice

The reason you think the gearing is different is because of tire size, those monkey tires are substantially bigger and tires are part of the gearing
If they were priced the same, would you prefer a Honda 300f over the grom or does the size of the grom make it more fun?

All the 2022 monkeys are ABS only. 2019 to 2021 it was an option. I have a 2019 non ABS.

There is a law for driving too slow however you can go on the highway if you are driving 50 and the speed limit is 60
