    Unit of Takt time can only be min hr not unit per hour. Takt time =Available time/ customer demand i.e. 480/160=3 min .

  • @mydesigncentreindia
    @mydesigncentreindia Год назад +2

    good evening sir, your explanation is good, but a slight error is there, the formula for takt time is --> net time available/ customer demand, T = Ta/D, but you have used the inverse of that. Moreover, calculating the unit required to produce in one hour can be calculated by the 60/minutes required to produce one unit. And that will the number of units that must be produced in one workstation.

    It is really informative.
    I have a suggestion..Now a days organisations are looking for line balancing with less investments. Before planning to install new machines we have to look how we can reduce the processing time of machine B&C with MTM or any other tools.
    Thanks

    Earlier at 2:13 minutes you said Takt time = Available time / customer demand but while in example you explained the other way 160 (Customer demand) / 8 (Available time ) = 20. So what is correct actually?

    • @DigitalELearning
      @DigitalELearning  3 года назад +1

      20 units must be produced /hours in order to meet 160 units of customer demand.
      Here 8 hours is the max available time that we have in a day and 160 units/day is the demand. Just follow the example

    if we increase the machines then we have to deploy that workforce also which in turn will increase our costs. how can we tackle this?
