One small correction: I guess "unet" from "päiväunet" would translate more accurately as "dreams" instead of "sleep" like I said in the video :)

Usually lunch time in Finland is 11am (around then) but if I have a meeting or a call at a specific time in the afternoon it is safer to first take Sidney out (in case she is slow) so I have enough time to get back xD

Once again, I see how learning one foreign language gets one tied up in its influences from yet other languages. "Aamupala" is a case in point. It literally means "morning piece," which reminds me of the German word for breakfast, "Frühstück," which literally means "early piece." I figured "aamupala" is more likely a calque for the Swedish word for breakfast, but Google Translate tells me that that is "frukost." "Aha!" I said to myself, "that looks like it probably literally means 'early piece'!," so I tried a reverse translation of its component parts. GT told me that "fru" means "wife" (i. e., cognate with German "Frau" rather than "früh") and that "kost" means "diet" rather than "piece." Then I tried a reverse reverse translation on GT, and it told me that the Swedish for "early piece" would be "tidigt stycke." It's a shame I don't actually own a Swedish dictionary!
