In new bluprints, there is a problem with slide stopper and slide. They don't fit together. The slide stop hole in slide is in wrong place. It should be about 8 mm right. And another problem is with a4 part. It is too long in plans, and has to be cutted 3-4 mm more.
dude, i mostly do hot rods and real guns but i was super interested and it actually took me a minute to figure out how this works. Good job man, badass video and now i have a harmless but super cool thing i can build with my kids.
It's possible but I wouldn't recommend it. It will only make the trigger pull heavier. Unless you want the hammer to 'click' in the down/cocked positions - I've done that before.
The back of the slide should lift up more than 3mm, else it will do exactly this. You may be able to fix it by shaving a little bit off the barrel block, which will pull the slide closer to the frame. I'm not quite sure what you mean by a tilted rotor block, but if the bands slip off the rotor, you can cut notches into the rotor. Look at "Ruby pistol - Mk. 2" at 2:22 to see what I mean. Try other things, maybe like a bigger rotor, different hammer, etc.
You'll need to play around with either the rotor block or the hammer. The slide should move back 15mm before the rotor releases, if not the rotor block is cut wrong. However, it's much easier to tune the hammer - just glue a strip of wood onto the part that the rotor contacts (or is supposed to contact) and shave it down until the rotor strikes the hammer upon release.
Nice, the tutorial is simple, and it has all the details you'll ever need. but about the first part, all you needed to say in the last phrase was: "All rights reserved". Overall: Nice gun, good tutorial.
sei veramente molto bravo i tui tutorial sono molto accurati grazie anche per gli schemi totalmente gratuiti grazie a te sono riuscito a costruire la mitragliatrice magarm ed ora ho quasi completato la blowback ancora complimenti
It depends where you're from. In Australia, I don't think that our standard hardwood (Tasmanian oak) is common in the rest of the world, but it is similar to timbers like mahogany or maple. Any medium-density hardwood should be good.
I wouldn't have a clue because we don't have them in Aus. but we do have Lowe's and they're pretty good! So if you're from the 'States, I would try Lowe's. Otherwise I don't really know...
This looks AMAZING! But I still can't figure out how the entire trigger, rotor, and blow-back mechanism would work. Can you please elaborate that for me? Please??
Awesome, i've made one myself . Although i've made some changes in design (trigger and handpart out of 1 solid piece; the video shows the first attempt.
Thank you for making the M1911 plans and video publicaly available. I have almost completed my gun, thoroughly enjoying the process, but, no matter what I try, I cannot get the rubber bands to fire individually. They all fire off on the first trigger pull. I made the gun precisely according to your instructions. I also watched your video on how to load it. What typically might cause my problem?
Just wanted to say thank you, for sharing this work with the (RUclips) viewers. Including Myself. Someday, I would like to see someone - perhaps, yourself - tackle the challenge of making a Tracer gun in this same style. If you aren't sure what a Tracer Gun is, Google it, and you will see. I thank you again. I look forward to trying one of these designs. Peace.
I think it would be easier to understand the construction if you used video instead of pictures. I know it would take more time, but it would be clearer as to what you are doing.
Hopefully you can work it out, seems to be a trade secret how these things operate. What would be really cool would be the slide staying back after the last shot is fired like a real semi auto pistol, food for thought dood
Admittedly, there aren't many people making sales requests on this video, so it was rude. But in other videos, it happens so often that im sick of being polite.
luke wilson It's a pretty complex design so it's time consuming. It took me about 14 days to build but a "day" for me could mean as little as half an hour or over 4 hours' work. You may want to check out these designs; they are both quicker to build: ruclips.net/video/4qFJyTLjNxY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/AN4PfnDyWVc/видео.html Whichever design you choose, make sure you get your teacher's approval beforehand!
Hey parabellum1262,I would love to make the gun but I half and half understand the video, I have framing experience but wood crafts is a bit new to me, mate I was wondering if you had any free time you could write some better steps than the ones on the page you linked. I know this is probs not what you would want to hear mid week but if you ever felt like it, I would really appreciate it.
You're probably best off making another one. I've got a heap of tutorial videos, all of them better than this one: ruclips.net/p/PL8fBXQg9IJC9fwU2rOqJvQlNms2MP-7qT I've been meaning to update it because it's my first and worst tutorial vid but who knows when I'll get around to it.
I made this gun last week, but find that it sometimes fires all the bands at once and is sometimes a bit stiff, any ideas what I did wrong? Other than that this is a class project
Hi I am a Design and Tecnology teacher, this is absolutely brilliant unbelievable amaizing and great.. May I have the blue prints please, and is there any chance you have it in coral draw or auto desk?
I just had a wild thought. How does this grab you.A rubberband version of The Custom Walther P-38.Like the ones carried and used by Napoleon Solo(Robert Vaughn) and Iiiyia Kuriyanon(David McCallum) On The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
Reginald Smith I quite the look of it! However I'm trying to move away from guns that look too realistic and threatening, but I might still build a pistol carbine. I like the idea of a pistol that can also be a rifle.
Amazing work!!! I really want to make this gun but I was wondering something. That the rotor should spin freely sounds logical but why moving side to side?
Well because the rotor spins freely around it's pin, it will also move side-to-side. The pin should fit tightly in the slide, but loosely in the rotor.
It's for that exact reason that I advise people NOT to paint it, because it may unfortunately be an infringement of imitation firearm laws in your country.
Very Very impressed. You are an artist. Thank you for the great tutorial. Very detailed and I like the photos. Thank it is beyond me right now but look forward to playing around at it. Also thanks to bulbsrtw for his video response. Makes for a combination. Happy, Happy!
Great! Thanks! How did you figure all that out? So talented with wood. You've given me something to do on the next rainy day. I'll enjoy making it. Thanks very much.
Okay I have a question, I just got mine done... THAAAAAANK YOU SO MUCH BY THE WAY.... this thing changed my life completely... I worked very hard on it... and I just have a skill saw a dremel and couple of sand papers... it looks decent... but it's shooting burst mode... I can't think of how to fix it... my rotor is releasing the bands super fast and the gun is not coming back automatically to it's resting position... so when I press the trigger, the slider just stays back and the rotor spins releasing as much rubber band as I can fit in this thing... any thoughts? First Brazilian guy to build and comment :D hahaha
Glad you like it! It sounds like you have two problems: 1. The slide will only return to position if you load the first shot on the barrel instead of the pin on the slide. This video shows it, though not very well: ruclips.net/video/1Ck5_6zz_7c/видео.html 2. When the slide is all the way back, the rotor should not spin freely. Instead, it should turn about 45° and hit the base of the hammer. Try glueing on more wood to that part of the hammer and filing it down until it works.
Thank you man! I watched again and noticed the Hammer and how it stops the rotor from releasing the bands, I think I sanded the hammer a little to much, the rotor scapes with the pressure releasing all the bands... Also, why doesn't the gun go back to it's resting position? I loaded with a rubber band and gave a couple of turns to make sure it wouldn't come off, but it's not bringing the slider back to it's resting position... could you explain me that one? sorry I am a pain in the butt haha
Once again, make sure the first rubber band is loaded onto the notch in the tip of the barrel. Then load all others onto the pin in the end of the slide. That way the slide will only stop returning once you've fired all the shots.
After four years I have finally updated the blueprints. They should now be easy enough to follow without the need for this ghastly "video"!
thanks ...
parabellum1262 you have the best rubber band gun videos in the world

the wooden guns that you make are the coolest thing ever if I had the tools I would want to build em
8mm thick hardwood and 6mm thick MDF. 2.8mm nails and a few wood screws. I use a coping saw to cut the curves.

How Much Can I Buy it for? please nothing over 40$? I need it as a cool prop!
Mack Hopkins You can't buy it, you have to make it.
make your own like we do.....it takes more than 40 bucks of time anyway
This is fantastic. Thank you very much for making this and posting a tutorial - I really appreciate you sharing your work.

Adding some material to the hammer so that it actually catches the rotor might solve it.
When I test fired, I neglected to pin the hammer. Once I did that it worked beautifully. Again, THANKS!
@@mickaelgaedke4047 Oh great! That reminds me of when the hammer pin fell out. Like yours, it didn't work too well. I improvised with a twig.
thanks for posting this, I made one and it looks awesome, now only if I knew how to load it.

Can you make a video about making VIS wz.35. That Polish gun that you have shown on your channel. It was very intresting gun.
That gun is sick!
Hey dude grat work keep going!
Sent from a fan in Denmark:)
I exactly know what to do with the extra pieces of wood lying around. Only need the plans for making this.
This vid is awesome. Going to try to make one soon. Can you please make a vid on shooting it?
Watch another of my videos called "Loading the M1911"
Can you make a tutorial on how to make a wooden Colt Detective Special PLEASE! It's my favorite gun.
Hey parabellum i was thikin maybe u could make a wooden or metal minigun from black ops 2 and one that actually eject bullet shells or fake shells
Hey could u please consider making a video. This helped me out but was hard to follow and what are the materials again
Perhaps about 30-40 hours? I'm not sure.

How do it work? Can it fire semi-automatic? How many rounds in one load?

How are the rubber band arranged on the inside of the gun to make it "blow back"?? The video doesn't show that...
The trigger does it i think
i 3d printed it and i was wondering if it was the same for the wood one do i put it together the same or diffrently

I built one, but when I pull the trigger all the bands come off at once. Is there a fix for that?
Thanks
Hi parabellum 1262 Can I make this gun from hard paper, my town doesn't have any wood store :(
maybe you can order it
OK I got a question can i take that rubber band gun a airsoft gun or naw
Hey man, thanks for sharing this stuff its so awesome.
Is it okay if you use any wood on any parts axept the rotor and trigger??
안규은 It should be, but try to use strong wood for the hammer and rotor block. They are the parts that will wear out if they are too soft.
Eu já quebrei a cabeça tentando entender esse seu tutorial, até que entendi e fiz a colt 1911
Hey good job parabellum1262 !!! what sort of harwood have you used please? It's really important for the rubber band gun?
yannoche35000 I use Tasmanian oak. It doesn't really matter what wood you use, just as long as it isn't too soft.
*****
thanx!!! continue!!!
Can u make it with thicker wood? I only have 12mm hardwood
Yes, but you will want to use 3mm thick MDF instead of 6mm, else the grip will be way too fat.
***** thank you, i will attempt to make it soon =)
Great! Thanks! How did you figure all that out? So talented with wood. You've given me something to do on the next rainy day. I'll enjoy making it. Thanks very much.
I must try this with CNC one day :)
If you have 3D files or vectors i would be really interested !
I don't see why this guy doesn't just start making these bad boys and selling them!? That's some next level crafting!
can we use Styrofoam instead of plywood?
Chia yueng no, not strong enough
Hey man, saw you mention you were looking to move away from more realistic guns.. A version of Han Solo's Baster could be cool? Keep up the great work
Can you please post separate instructions so we dont have to refer to this over and over in case of mistakes while making it
Please and Thank you
Parrabellum can you please make a full video tutorial on this im stuck and i dont get it go work the way i want so please make a video!?
On the print settings, should I use "Fit to page", or just keep it? Using A4
Caleb Smith Select "Actual size"
***** Thank you! Also, couldn't you just load all of the rubber bands on the barrel instead of the loading pin?
Caleb Smith It would make the trigger pull too heavy because you would be stretching all 7 bands at once.
And van you also use such a loader ???
thanks for the blueprints i gonna make it
pls can u give list of material used. i cant see it in vedio properly & what type of saw u use to cut curve lines
what is the thickness of the wood you bought? in inch
Great rubber band gun
What is the simplest weapon that has a tutorial video?
Love this gun the best gun I have ever seen
do you have an already completed rubber band gun that you are willing to sell at a reasonable price?
It sounds like you have two problems:
1. The slide will only return to position if you load the first shot on the barrel instead of the pin on the slide. This video shows it, though not very well: ruclips.net/video/1Ck5_6zz_7c/видео.html
I loaded with a rubber band and gave a couple of turns to make sure it wouldn't come off, but it's not bringing the slider back to it's
resting position... could you explain me that one? sorry I am a pain in the butt haha
Once again, make sure the first rubber band is loaded onto the notch in the tip of the barrel. Then load all others onto the pin in the end of the slide. That way the slide will only stop returning once you've fired all the shots.
Thanks man... I will try that !
The problem is that the hammer has a design problem. I needed to put a spare wooden piece to the hammer to make it work
in the mediafire link it does not show all the parts why? And i have tried the other link and they don't work!
you have amazing work
hey parabellum can you send me the papers of this movie so i know how to make this gun
