      @@inderveerjohal7218 Warning! These are experimental settings! - The Service Menu can be a dangerous place where changes can be made impacting the sound function of your TV. Some can be difficult to revert or even in some rare instances brick your TV. Proceed with caution.
      Disclaimer: You and and you alone are responsible for electing to make the changes explained below and thus responsible for any consequences that follow.
      EX (for experimental) Dynamic Mode HDR D65 Modification Instructions and Settings Recommendations (EXD65 for short)
      Instructions (require work in advanced service menu):
      First ensure you are in Dynamic Mode HDR (this can be achieved by loading HDR content) and turn off Contrast Enhancer in the Expert Settings then exit menus. On remote (classic physical one or Smart Things app virtual remote) mute,1,1,9,OK then when hospitality menu comes up 1,2,3,4 then Service Menu will come up. You can now use the new slim remote for the following steps. Press down on the circle pad until you arrive at "Advanced" and stop with it selected then hold up on the volume switch for 10 seconds and the "Advanced" options should appear. Select "WBMovie" and press the center button. Then press the center button while on "W/B Movie ON/OFF" bringing up the small window with the option. Press right on circle pad once to change to "ON" and hit back button (U arrow) to return to W/B Movie menu. Press down to go to "Color Tone" and press button to bring up the option in a small window to change it. Now, just to be sure you are still in the right mode hit the menu button (has cog on it) to bring up the quick menu bar to check if you are still in "Dynamic Mode HDR", if not change it back via the menu bar as you normally would then hit back to exit quick menu bar. Now press right on pad till Color Tone option arrives at "Warm 2" (you should see the color tone on the screen change as you do this) then hit the back button to exit back to the W/B Movie Mode Menu. Now go back up to W/B Movie option select it being up the small option window and select "OFF". Now press the power button on the remote to turn off the display. When you power the display back on and play HDR content and with Dynamic Mode HDR selected it should say "Warm 2" under Color Tone in expert menu settings (It will stay this way until you revert).
      Notes: I am on firmware 1304 but this should in theory work on any firmware. I am pretty sure this is only possible because of a bug in the SM. If you attempt to do something similar with Dynamic Mode SDR it will not keep Warm 2 once you turn W/B Movie off unfortunately. If I am correct, they could fix this later (though I highly doubt it) but in the meanwhile it's nice to believe an oversight with this TV worked out in our favor for once. If you all manage to get similar results to what I have you should be pleased. It was very difficult to line up colors through CMS with DTM in play but I did my best and after review feel it is reasonably close to my FMM config geared towards accuracy. For now, I am satisfied with the results.
      Here are the settings I recommend now that Warm 2 is available in Dynamic Mode:
      Brightness 50
      Contrast 50
      Sharpness 10 (preference)
      Color 15
      Tint G2
      Picture Clarity Settings (whatever you desire)
      Contrast Enhancer OFF (Not recommended here as it negatively impacts color accuracy, causes desaturation, and clipping)
      Color Tone (You won't have to touch this ever again as it should be locked on "Warm 2")
      White Balance (In this particular instance unless you have a meter to line it up use my following WB settings to get you as close as possible otherwise)
      RG 7 GG 0 BG -7 RO -2 GO 0 BO 0
      Gamma ST.2048
      ST.2048 -2
      Shadow Detail 0
      Color Space Settings (Custom BT.2020)
      CMS:
      Red - R11 G96 B42
      Green - R68 G11 B32
      Blue- R87 G87 B99
      Yellow - R50 G50 B50
      Cyan- R50 G50 B50
      Magenta- R0 G0 B100 Exit...
      Peak Brightness High (Hit 1503 nits once ABL was jogged in a 2% window)
      Enjoy! As always any feedback is welcomed!

    • @mythoti
      @mythoti  Год назад +1

      The last update came while I had my luminance set for 100 from it's original 48 for 1304, which was perfect for it at the time, the update capped the brightness so the highlights no longer pushed past the base luminance at that level, that's how I knew something was off to begin with, found out my tv had updated, went into service menu to see it still at 100, updates apparently leave these settings alone, but how it affects the overall output was another story, had to reign it back to 75 for the highlights to pop again by contrast to the base luminance

      @mythoti  9 месяцев назад

      Nope, nothing official or even on paper, just me and seeing the impact each tweak made and using my understanding of each as I went along to calibrate and push it the direction I was going for, every adjustment simply a series of tradeoffs, the goal to trade its weaknesses in for it's strengths, I found it struggles with low light details so boosting the APL was where I started, and when I felt it was clear enough and ground out most of the artifacts and imperfections I focused on utilizing it's color luminance and contrast to apply a hyper-realistic look, this video is one of my oldest, you want the good that shows what she can really do look at the video that's the newest on my channel about the S95B, the details in this particular video were from before I had the full understanding I have now

    • @mythoti
      @mythoti  9 месяцев назад

      As far as manipulating the banners like the sound levels displayed on the screen I've never considered it, but I'd imagine it's in there somewhere, I'd be weary though, trying to remove things that let you see decisions made on your tv sounds like it could be sketchy territory without knowing exactly what the results will be when you make them so just be careful, if you do make any adjustments that haven't been verified yet be sure to take a snap shot of all settings before adjusting so you can try to undo anything you might find unsatisfactory

I seriously have a feeling that even by January of 2024, the S95C will be at $2,800 - $2,500 after the price drop of I am assuming $4,000 - $3,500 for a 65inch S95C since everyone will want a QD-OLED TV…

    • @mythoti
      @mythoti  Год назад +1

      Skin tones are showing natural for me, try maybe bringing the color down a hair, luminance colors like lighting around the onscreen character can heavily impact tones with saturation in some scenes but most scenes are resolving perfectly for me, I'd say play around with the white point to remove the pushes that you feel are too heavy, I push some tones slightly to boost the 3D impact while remaining as natural as I could get the panel to allow for, any less took away from the clean 3d effect I was looking to establish, all the colors have felt off since the update, this is the best I've managed for color accuracy with 3D impact, I'm sure I could come up with completely natural settings but the end result wouldn't be much different than an LG C2, I know that's what some people are looking for but I got a QD-OLED for the next level colors and punch it could provide, this is the best balance I've found so far, try watching a few different things with these settings, my strongest suggestion is Virtual Japan here on RUclips, amazing content to showcase just how natural the skin tones really are with super high graded HDR content pushed to it

      I had tried twice now to post the link with detailed instructions, it was always removed by YT. For whatever reason. But it's not difficult, first go to the service menu as described, then go to advanced and press the volume up on remote controll for a few seconds. Another menu appears. Select EPA (last point at the bottom). Now Look for two points called ANA Peak 1 and ANA Peak 2. They both have to be on 1023 (one is already 1023, the other is lower. Change that one to 1023 too). Thats it.

      Yes, this comes across exceptionally well for HDR content since much of the material is graded in colors that don't show well under lower luminance levels, boosting the base luminance value will draw out more solid impact in each individual object onscreen to make it appear more 3D, LG is using this technique with their 2023 lineup to try to keep up with QD-OLED, along with peak brightness boosts, the S95B gets a better benefit from this process though, since it's quantum dots' colors don't wash out at higher luminance levels like standard WRGB OLEDs on any LG
