Literally all I'd ask for is a completely new pathing system. In Planet Zoo I use a mod to make it more bearable but without mods its infuriating. Especially when it deforms terrain or it prevents you from placing paths. I'd want either a painting system to make plazas and flexible paths or a way to draw points to make plaza shapes.

Planet coaster was announcement on june 16 and released in November. These deals are out to increase the planet coaster fan base, So you're probably on to something.
I just hope PC2 performs better with large parks. I always lost motivation to finish massive projects knowing the frame rate would drop so bad

Such a big sale surprised, till I realized Planet Coaster 2 might indeed get announced soon. It makes perfect sense with all the rumors going around as well as the documents of Frontier plans. if it doesnt happen soon, i'm still happy because paying not even 2 euro for Planet Coaster is a steal haha. I always loved Planet Zoo more, but for this price I will definitely play some hours.

I could see them hinting and saying we need to keep our eyes open the coming weeks.. but I don't really feel like they are going to use those live streams for the big new game announcements.. at least not without really promoting that live stream and say in advance its gonna be a very very exciting one and everyone should join them.. 😅
@@DeLadysigner First, amazing sale and high player engagement numbers. Second, they hint at (or announce) a major announcement at the early June Games Conference during Wednesday's Frontier Live. Third, they hit us with a tease about 48 hours before the early June announcement. Fourth, PlanCo 2 confirmed within 2 weeks.

I am hoping, but if they follow original PC timeline than the announcement won’t been until June with a release in November.

Well, we KNOW a creative management building game will be released this year. Its a matter of time before they will announce it and given they need advertising time it has to be announced pretty soon.
As for PlanCo 2, I can only wish and cross my fingers. And secondly I hope and cross my fingers again they will do it the right way.
(Without writing an essay on how I would like to see PlanCo 2, in essence I hope we don't go back to square 1 as a total new game. Please continue where Planco 1 left)

i would love this!!! i love planet coaster allot but i would STILL love it now if they updated it along planet zoo.... there are so many quality's planet zoo has coaster hasnt and thats why i mainly play planet zoo. i would be so exited for an renewed updated planet coaster!!!
I hope so too, I played roller coaster games from rct and I thought they had already finished with planet coaster. Frontier has let this beautiful game die in a bad way without updates. I hope this is to see planet coaster 2 ❤
Uhm... die in a bad way? The game had a complete first year with free updates and after that another 3 years with paid dlcs + free updates and after 4 years it was finished when most people also lost their interest in the game apart from a core group of players.. Really not fair to say that frontier let the game die in a bad way.. 🙈
@@DeLadysigner It is difficult to maintain the balance between the company's developments. Elite dangerous, planet zoo and planet coaster. But yes, the latest movement of planet coaster seems that they wanted to boost it again in the community.
I think it’s very possible. Something to note is that Silv left his series behind and has been away from planet coaster for a while - he could have been asked to work on scenarios or blueprints for the new game :)
Silv also just has a fulltime job and normal life, so that doesnt really mean much 😅

I really doubt they will announce anything in that stream. They either announce their new game shortly before the stream to be able to talk about it in the live stream or they will slightly hint during the stream to keep your eyes open on their socials for something exciting.. if anything, I really dont think they will announce any new game during the live stream 😊

The smart thing to do marketing wise is to announce the sequel while the first game is on sale, so i expect it will be announced before 30th May. Very exciting!

Just saw the press release for a Wednesday, June 12 @ 9:30 am (Cambridge time?) financial update video call with investors. I think it may come just after The Summer Game Fest. Stock has trended up since the RCT license sale.
They're due to publish a trading update on how the fiscal year (ended 31st May) went. The investors call will primarily be focused on the preliminary numbers they publish, not so much on upcoming games. It may be discussed but not the primary focus.
The November 2024 game will totally be revealed at the PC Gaming Show tonight and it's almost certainly going to be Planet Coaster 2.
The PC Gaming Show are doing a segment reminiscing about the history of the event which started in 2015 and Planet Coaster got it's first reveal at the very first show. It would be quite fitting for them to show a clip from that first event and then segway straight into a trailer for the sequel.
Im personally not expecting them to announce anything today 😊 but we shall wait and see 😅

Planet Coaster 2 needs a sequel much more than Planet Zoo, especially in terms of graphics engine/performance.
This is just a routine update and is NOT in any way any confirmation that a sequel is in development so please stop jumping to conclusions and in the end falsely getting people excited for something that in all likelihood isn't going to happen.
PC is an 8 year old title and if frontier were going to have made a sequel to it they probably would have done so already.
We shall wait and see 👍

@@DeLadysigner Park Studio is not the greatest at the moment but will most certainly pull some of Planco's playerbase that are looking for more realism (it already has). The issue is exactly that Frontier is a big company with no passion in what they do. I am a firm believer that Planco 2 will never reach the expectations of players.
Sure, there will be players with different preferences and different needs, just like with No Limits, Parcitect and Prehistoric Kingdom 👍 Everyone is free to play and enjoy whatever they like 😊 and they can also love all games at the same time, right? But lets not start a discussion about what game is better or not, while we dont even know 100% yet if there will be a PlanCo 2 to begin with 😅
And I obviously don't agree with Frontier not being passionate about the games they make. Surely, management definitely didnt make the right choices the past years.. but to blunty say these devs dont care is clearly not true.. Ive known several people that worked on Planet Coaster 1 with a lot of love and passion and the same goes for Planet Zoo 😊
Last thing I want to say about Park Studio is, if its a same thing like Prehistoric Kingdom with a small dev team working on the game.. you can count on it that that game wont even be finished for the next 5 to 10 years because development goes so slow and with these amount of players they have now, they will financially have a really hard time to speed things up..
@@DeLadysigner Well I'm the one and only developer of the game and the final release is planned for Late 2025, so... It's cool if Planco 2 succeeds and yes people can enjoy all games, I'm sure there is a world where Planco and Park Studio can live together without being compared to one another, but I was just originally joking about the fact that they release a small patch a few days after Park Studio "blew off" a little bit haha... I'm doubtful about the whole Planco 2 situation and I'm honestly scared of how bad it could be... I guess we'll have to wait and see

I was one of the alpha players. Peak times. The community was so lovely and the devs implemented what they could for the fans.
Yeah, the first peak wasnt the "real" peak. Alpha days was half a year via an app downloaded via the frontier website. Then the beta was two weeks via Steam via a "planco beta" version and after that, the data you see now, is the data after launch.. so these are not the real exact numbers. But none the less fantastic numbers for sure! Haha!

I really hope for an announcement. They could really improve on the management side with learnings from Planet Zoo (and Parkitect).
My real coaster- and park count has vastely improved over the last 2 years, with a 2022 visit of Phantasialand (again this June, my favourite park by far), my first Hansa Park visit after ~15 years (Kärnan, Flucht von Novgorod) and some awesome Parks in Japan. Can't wait to put all my new impressions and learnings into a new PlanCo.
When i saw planet coaster was on sale for 95 procent off i had the feeling of planet coaster 2 announcement very soon. Lets hope for it!

I hope we see it very soon. I'm super hyped to get to create some of the ideas that weren't possible in planet coaster 2. I have many concepts I want to try out in a sequel. I also can't wait what you,Rudi and Silv might come up with.
I hope Planco 2 has an RMC raptor, cause the single rail coaster in Panco 1 is based on an RMC T-rex, which hasn't been built anywhere yet (compared to several Raptors), as well as an Intamin coaster like Toutatis or Pantheon that can have a multi-pass launch. Also better heartlining for rides, since transitions can be janky in Planco 1 if you're not good with the smoothing tool

I just reinstalled PC. Have a new rig that was bought to play graphic intensive games in 4k (i.e. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Starfield, Forza Motorsport). After already putting 800+ hours in to PC, I am looking forward to seeing how the game plays, and to get reacquainted with the game. BTW... I love your enthusiasm!

I clocked the SteamDB numbers in my insomnia last night. (I was comparing PC, KSP2, and City Skylines 2 numbers). Even accounting for the amazing sale. These were out of the ordinary.

You're totally right DeLady! But I am wondering if it will be already announced tomorrow - 1 Day before Frontier Unlocked. It is very untypical (if we can say that, so short after Unlocked started this year) but usually we know some days before the stream what they're going to talk about. If they'd tell anything with a little hint about it, everyone would know what is in the stream. I think the Planet Zoo Console announcement was also 1 day before Frontier Unlocked and they announced a pre-order date and that more information will be shared during frontier unlocked. My hopes are really high, that we'll see something tomorrow and see even more on Wednesday. Pre-Orders starting after May 30. Maybe? What do you think?

I dont know, but I do feel like we dont have to worry too much.. because with most of their new game announcement, they will inform a variaty of bigger creators in advance so they can all join the celebration of the announcement 😊❤️ So fingers crossed this will happen again with this announcement so you just need to keep your eyes open to our youtube channels, haha ❤️

Um...they basically have that already. Tegidcam to walk around, and every ride has a first person pov camera.

Its not very common for them to launch on a Thursday also due to being able to fix really game breaking bugs before the weekend 😅 So maybe November 12th? 🤪 But would also be funny to launch on the same day as Planet ZOO did, which was on November 5th 😁

A bit sad, I hoped it would be a new Planet game and not a sequel to one we already have, I was never really a coaster person to begin with so I’ll probably stick it out with PZ for now unless the third creative management game is also a planet game which I doubt.
The next CMS game is going to be JWE3 which is already announced by Frontier a few weeks ago 😊 So we have to wait and see what the CMS game in 2026 will be 🙏
Also, not sure what you mean with "coaster person" .. someone that likes coasters or someone that likes planet coaster the game 😅
