    Hi again, Dave. Thank you for your end message. I used to think that graduating from university was something impossible. Now I know it will happen for me too. I hope that everyone else who reads this, sooner or later, accomplishes the same thing and more...

    Quite an innovative, modern and above all realistic approach when explaining Type 1 error. Awesome Judge Judy.

    Where is the follow-up lecture which gives the solution - terrible to present a problem then not give us the solution.

    Ho u= 150
    H1 u >150
    Null hypothesis is equal to 150 or it can be below 150 and for rejecting null hypothesis Alternative hypothesis must be greater than 150 ... if alternatives is lesser than 150 but then also it will not be rejected because in alternative >150

    Lecture or movie...but if this were a movie, it'd be a great one

  • @terry6578
    @terry6578 5 лет назад +1

    Great explanations. However, one correction needs to be made. The pictures that are used as examples really need to be flipped. The women is very pregnant (true), but being rejected, should be the type-1 error. The man who is clearly not pregnant (untrue ), but being told he is pregnant, (not rejected) is a type-2 error.

    @20:16,
    I think the errors are same (Type 2 Error) for both images.
    Male Image: NULLHYP="You're Pregnant", which is not rejected when it is untrue (He is not pregnant).
    Female Image: NULLHYP="You're not Pregnant", which is not rejected when it is untrue (She is Pregnant)
    Kindly Correct me if I'm wrong or acknowledge if it's the vice versa.

    • @dtwtan
      @dtwtan 7 лет назад +1

      Thanks for your comment. The null hypothesis is what is assumed true until proven otherwise. That is, we assume someone is not pregnant until proven otherwise with medical tests. Does this help?

    $10.00 for the actual lecture. Do not waste 30 minutes watching this if you do not have the money to pay for him to really explain what you need to know beyond the very simple basics of understanding.
