Hi Nikita, for the step @5:30 I have found that you can also use the "Imprint" command (shift+i) on the spline and the body. After that simply extrude the new face inwards. Thanks for the tutorial. Just recently started using Plasticity, love it so far.
I just completed your FREE Beginner Course, and I must say you do an incredible job walking through the build step-by-step... this is so incredibly helpful! I have taken other courses online, and completed several exercises on YT, but you by far do the best at explaining Plasticity and your approach for each object as you model. I cant thank you enough for putting the time into these videos, it really shows! And I look forward to completing your other courses!
at 09:00. are there no way to select from the solid list on the side bar, and make the effect of fillet or extrude? it seems a little time consuming to select all the bodys, one by one by hand. or the faces when we are to do the fillet. since we can select from the list to do other things. love your videos Btw.
Just one question... it's hard to see in the vid, but which two curves are you selecting at 2:41 and 2:43? I've tried everything but when I boolean, the result is a mess. Actually, no... two questions. I'm also getting a hollow main body/shell when I delete the 'extra body' at 3:23. I can't work out what's going wrong. If I try this on a different object, say, a cylinder, it works just fine.
I deleted the curve I used for extrusion and also the one for which I used revolve. You have to cut a SOLID body. Otherwise you will get a sheet/shell. So make sure you are cutting a closed solid body.
I've been seeing a lot of Plasticity work online and liking it, but not having any CAD background I wasn't sure I would use the software. But this tutorial means I will probably buy it now. I was comparing this workflow with CAD Sketcher for Blender, which is free- but by 12 minutes into the CAD Sketcher vid, all he had was a couple of cylinders and a rudimentary shape, while you had a slick, pretty finished object that would have taken me at least an hour to model conventionally. Nice!
Agree. CAD can be a bit terrifying if one looks at professional engineering programs. But Plasticity is like Blender for CAD but even simpler and faster and more fun modeling wise :)
Thanks! Pixel Fondue is amazing in teaching all the different functions & operations and on our channel we execute them and put them together into products 😁
Hello, I want to take a ready-made project and make changes to it. For example, size change. Or writing the name of the friend I will give as a gift on the project. I want to write inward, not outward. Or I want to add to a project. Is it possible with this program?
Ja mega gut zum lernen. Manchmal klappt shalt nicht direkt oder es werden Funktionen gezeigt die Plasticity nicht hat, da wird das Gehirn dann angeregt irgendwie andere Lösungen zu finden :)
Yeah try it out for 30 day for free. It's amazing. I am using OBS for recording the screen and Audacity for recording Audio. Carnac for the key overlay
I am only beginning my 3D designing journey and have decided on Plasticity (buying this tonight after evaluating for a week). Personally, I‘m making functional designs for my 3D printer but lack experience how to achieve things in an efficient manner and love watching you do things so efficiently. Basically, your tutorials are a sort of user manual for Plasticity. You make it look so easy and create beautiful things :) In this video I especially enjoyed the revolve part and how you made the inset on the front. Nice tricks.
@@StoneCut I am sure you did a good investment. The price for Plasticity (compared to all other CAD software) is a steal. It's super powerful, simple to use and fun. And I feel it has a bright future!:) Also, very glad to hear you find my tutorials helpful!. Thanks!
Good and useful tutorial to understand some funfamental workflows. You can delete the lines left of the revolution in the solid model. Well, as you said it's a learning-by-doing process. Keep it up!
I used Moi3D a little bit. So I am not an expert in it. But after using Plasticity 3D I didn't use Moi3D at all anymore. Moi3D has it's advantages and I still use it for converting obj to nurbs. But for modeling Plasticity feels like 100 years ahead. Especially the fillets and in general the functionality in Plasticity, for what I am using, are much much ahead and faster.

And great to see you in our Plasticity community:)

I would have liked to see you make the cap for that and mimicking those threads? How do you create actual threads?
this is a really good tutorial which shows the amazing features of plasticity well, thank you for uploading!
Glad it was helpful!
@2:21 you can select the face and just press "O" to inset the face and use that instead of duplicating and doing it that way
Thanks. Didn't thought about it when I was recording

Hi, I want to ask how different is this software compared to freecad or fusion?
Sehr geil!

thank you for teaching us Plasticity
My pleasure
Nice tutorial, thank you !!!
Glad it helped!
Estuve trabajando años con Solidworks, incluse hice esta misma botella en ese programa. Se ve muy interesante y mucho más simple en Plasticity
@2:21 From where you have the curve? I have no such curve. :/
Select the circular edge -> Shift D to duplicate it so you can use it
@@nikita.kapustin My mistake was, I first have to select the surface mode at the top.
excellent stuff! this channel is like the step you go to after Pixel Fondue

Solidworks und SiemensNX Tutorials mit Moi3D oder Plastictiy nachmachen, mach ich auch immer gern.

What is the pc requirements to run the program
Not much.
I have a very basic PC (Ryzen 5) 32GB Ram and 1080Ti
Your tutorial is going to make me learn plasticity 😅
Be aware to try it out. You will feel like you wasted years of polygon modeling 😂
Me too😅
@@nikita.kapustintrue, that's exactly what I am begging to feel like. Thanks for sharing this tutorial... Amazing... ❤❤😊
amazing software, thanks mate
