That is one of the coolest models I have ever seen in my life the Corsair is by far my favorite plane

Beautiful work! When weathering the engine, did you use Tamiya silver or gun metal?
Thank you for your comment and complements! Yes I used TAMIYA gun metal x-10 for corcair. Also I use AK real color gun metal RC015 a lot, thanks!

How did you add the zinc chromate color To the flaps and during your weathering?
Thank you for your comment and question. I used Tamiya weathering master set C. It includes silver chrome powder. I tried to put color on the edge.

I love this plane,, nice work.. I'd like to ask,, its down as a 1/48, but this model seems small, like a 1/72, can you measure its length and wing span?
Thank you so much for your comment! Yes those reciprocating engine is rather smaller than latest fighter jets. The wing span is 236mm, fuselage length is 205mm. For example, 1/48 Tomcat is wingspan 408mm, fuselage 398mm! :)
Hard to go wrong with Tamiya's 1/48 aircraft. To me, 1/72 is too small, and 1/32 is too big and complex. 1/48 is my scale of choice.
Yes, Tamiya is always promising. I love 1/48 size too :) I might want to try 1/32 sometime in the future.
