I was really disappointed when i saw the Insomniac leak. We need more R&C and less Marvel. Yes I'm excited for Wolverine, Spiderman 3 and Venom, but Rift Apart is so damn good. I don't want Insomniac to be a Marvel studio

The most disappointing thing about those leaks is how we know NOTHING Resistance planned is in the pipeline. I’ve been playing those on RPCS3 and they’re a lot of fun (recently ordered a modded PS Vita and I’ll definitely play the PSP/Vita spinoffs). Those games deserve remasters, not Horizon (a game that still looks great).

I wouldn’t be opposed to a remake or continuation from the universe after the current line up but as for Insomniacs Orginial stock, it’s not looking good.
It's not just that R&C is so far away, the leaked lineup wouldn't be so dismal if it wasn't a literal decade of nothing but Marvel imo. Marvel has already been everywhere in the past 15 years, Insomniac's entire output becoming Marvel games just makes me kind of sad. I guess I should be grateful R&C even found it's place in that lineup because fans of Sunset Overdrive and Resistance weren't even that fortunate.

The next R&C game would be release with the next playstation home console. Its like they make R&C game just to show how powerful the console is and show what its capable of. I think they are more likely to focus on porting older R&C games to pc, PS4 and PS5.
Totally agree! I would love them to port older games but the future of Ratchet & Clank is in the balance! If they could keep the series alive and manage to do both I’m all for it but if it’s one or the other, it definitely has to be the series future 😁🤙🏻

Agreed, I played crack in time again recently on ps5 streamed and I honestly never realised the game had aged until that moment! This is worrying because the voice actors are getting old and if the age gap between new projects continues to be around 8 years, we'll have fewer performances from them. A shorter gap between releases would mean we get to hear more from these actors. Ratchet's voice actor is 55, Clank's is 59, Nefarious' is 74, Rivet's is 52 or 59 and kit's is 62
@ I honestly think that Insomniac have played this intentionally with the plan to revive the franchise, they gave it until 2029 to do the superhero games and then they plan to hammer in the Ratchet games after that! I’m hoping 😁🤙🏻

I mean hey, rushed games never turn out well, and so long as the progress is slow and steady, with ample checking along development to make sure nothing breaks in a way that would hinder player's experiences, this game will hopefully be another solid entry into the series.
They don’t however the first 3 games of Ratchet and clank were all behind schedule and understaffed and they still managed to make great games each year pretty much at the same time! Something I've always thought is that Crash and Spyro got the "Trilogy Remake" treatment (hell, Crash got a whole new game because of it), so why hasn't R&C? When's the Ratchet & Clank Reloaded Trilogy, Insomniac? Hell, through Deadlocked in there too, it deserves it!

It is but when the leak originally happened it was an either or for both spidey online and Xmen to be released, now Spider-Man online is shelved (but not scrapped) and Xmen is after R&C2029 (thank god) 😁🤙🏻
I used to buy the consoles for R&C. The PS2 had R&C 1, 2, 3, Gladiator, Size Matters and SAC. The PS3 had ToD, QfB, ACiT, All 4 one, FFA and Nexus. But the PS4 only had 1 R&C game and by the looks of things, the PS5 will be the same. I can’t warrant buying another console for the next R&C if it’s just gonna be one game per console generation.

What we actually need is more Resistance games. I’ve been playing through the trilogy on my gaming laptop thanks to emulation and it’s a lot of fun aside from a few hiccups. Recently ordered a modded Vita and that will let me play the handheld spinoffs. It’s too bad that we wont see anything in that franchise unless someone else makes it (we’ve learned from the Insomniac leaks that NOTHING Resistance related is in the pipeline). At the very least Sony should have one of their support studios make a (Master Chief Collection) style collection of the Resistance games and put it on PS5/PC. That would be infinitely better than a Horizon remaster (which is entirely unnecessary because it still looks good, PS5 got a patch, and on PC you can use graphical/gameplay mods to enhance the experience).
Sadly I have a feeling both Resistance and next Ratchet & Clank are the games that will fade from Insomniacs main view. You're totally right though, if anything gamers are hungry to see the history of the game devs behind their favourite games and all the devs are currently doing is trying to erase their histories for some reason. We waited 8 years for a sequel to Into the Nexus, in these 8 years we were unsure whether the mainline series would continue or not... Now we have that confirmation, and for what? Another 8 years of waiting! And even worse, after playing Rift Apart I believe that Into the Nexus is the perfect ending for the 'other dimensions' arc and the mainline series should've stopped there. Yeah Rift Apart is good but it adds too many retcons and plot holes

They probably just want to focus on more different games instead of just constantly making the same game just because Nintendo likes to make too many sequels and run their franchises into the ground doesn't mean Sony wants to do it
I don’t personally think they’re running Ratchet into the ground, after the reboot in 2016 I was hoping for more games than Ratchet & Clank games than once every four + years is all, if the next game is the best I’ve ever played of the franchise then fair play but I’m concerned about Insomniacs plans for it as a whole
I have some opinions about the next game: 1. I hope that this will be the last game of Ratchet and Clank. Im saying this because i have a massive fear of my favorite game or any kind of media getting so milked to the point its a different game. I might be delusional or something idk but I think we had enough games and the plot should finally end after so many years. And im not the only one, the people on reddit also agree with me. 2. If Dr. Nefarious returns, I wont play it. Yeah he is a cool villain, but after playing All 4 One (which is a terrible game if you play it alone imo) i felt like he was forced into the franchise. At least they made it work in A Crack in Time, but, like I said, Im against milking a franchise or a character to the point we hate them/it. Probably thats why I like the space pirates so much. Simple Side Villains, had their own small game that was enjoyable, and cool counterparts (I love my man Pierre), and guess what? Not overused! Same goes with other villains like Drek, Vox, The prog siblings (i also love them, they just perfectly describe sibling love), and Tachyon, which allows me to go on the next point. 3. Tachyon should return. I know what i said about why Villains that appear only once in a game are more appealing, but if they'd tried to do the same with Tachyon like with Dr. Nefarious with a Crack in Time, I would be more than happy. Why did I choose Tachyon of all other villains? Because he's important! He had a big role in the past of the Lombaxes, and for a last game it would be just a perfect to end the lore. As far as Ive read the comics, Tachyon is not dead but chilling in the dimension he was defeated in. So if Insomniac Games somehow manages to throw him back to the franchise and actually do him well and not dirty like Dr. Nefarious, it would be very good for them.

They only have limited options at this point and closing the franchise off would make sense, sadly I don’t think they will and I’m just as worried as your Reddit friends that the worst will happen. 2. Again agree! He’s died a death in terms of exposure, I wouldn’t mind him being in it if there were conditions met, like if he’s a side character like zurkon for reference and banter. Besides they’re are plenty of other villains of the past that could also show some variants or even brand new characters! 3rd and finally I love your stance on tachyon! That makes total sense and would definitely benefit the storyline since it plays into the plot of the next game. I would personally like an evil ratchet that’s hunting lombaxes with the help of successful villain variants, throw in ratchet having his ark completed meeting his true family etc and that would do me nicely. What will get I think will be another story but here’s hoping! 🤙🏻
I’d rather some other studio make ratchet and clank. Insomniac has gone woke and rift apart’s story sucked. Rivet is not what ratchet would have been if he never met clank. Ace headlight is what ratchet would have been without clank. I worry that if they make another ratchet game, it will be woke and I just don’t think I could bear to watch my favorite game turn into that

I'm a huge fan with Ratchet and Clank, and I hope the next game is good. The reason it's taking so long could be this. Every game console generation has gotten longer and longer to develop a game and gotten even more expensive to make where the budgets have gotten out of control. Also, given the fact that Disney has a seat at Sonys and a partnership at the table since they own Marvel and so they are going to push for more marvel products than original ips, because Disney wants to corner the market.

Ratchet and Clank have become a "one fame per console generation" franchise. They are probably holding back because they want to make it a PS6 exclusive. It's a shame we don't get more Ratchet games, we didn't even get dlc for rift apart

@@ratchet1122 while Rift apart was miles better than the movie game from 2016 it still felt lacking in a lot of areas when it came to story and characters, Ratchet still has his nerdy boyscout personality he had in the movie instead of the sassy tough guy hero from the earlier games. And Rivet felt kinda one dimensional. As much as it hurts to say I would like insomniac to give the rights to another developer after the next installment. Because the series has lost it's magic

unpopular opinion. I wish insomniac made a R&C game like up your arsenal with that games edginess and multiplayer to return for their new game. I feel like the whole rivet and kit added into the game just makes the game feel like its for little kids. Same with 2016 they made the game feel so PG. Rift apart felt like it went all woke or something. I could definitely speak for a lot of people that we would like a more mature ratchet and clank game but I'm not sure insomniac will do that. I definitely have not liked the direction ratchet and clank has gone since Rift Apart. Appreciate you keeping the future of Ratchet and Clank alive with this video.

What new insomniac characters could we see happen? I hope we can track down Emperor Nefarious in the kraken dimension alive since he is a robot so that he may get revenge on Dr. Nefarious, Ratchet, Clank, Rivet and Kit probably with help from evil versions of Ratchet and Clank. My guesses are Evil Ratchet could shoot down the kraken and then Evil Clank would catch Emperor Nefarious as he falls and they will bring him back to be repaired. Could we expect a female goblin in Spider Man 3 ?
That’d be sweet! Evil Ratchet is 100% the direction they should go! Whether they will is another story 😁 as for Spider-Man 3 I think Norman as the classic goblin but creating both the mechanical suit and the powerup green skin version of the character would be epic!
I don’t think so because they kind of did it with the venom saga but she certainly may die and introduce other female love interests for both spiders 🤷🏻♂️
They should take care of Ratchet & Clank and other series definitely! But I wouldn’t call their Marvel projects slop, Spider-Man 1 & 2 were amazing to play, 100% worth your time if you haven’t played already 😁🤙🏻
It's not the fault of Sony or Insomiac if the next chapter will be made in 2029, it's the fault of the players who didn't support the game, Rift Apart sold only 2 million copies between PC and PlayStation 5 while the 2016 game sold 7 million of copies on PlayStation 4, it is now a dead Saga, it has no longer been of interest since the days of PlayStation 3,

The most disappointing thing about those leaks is how we know NOTHING Resistance planned is in the pipeline. I’ve been playing those on RPCS3 and they’re a lot of fun (recently ordered a modded PS Vita and I’ll definitely play the PSP/Vita spinoffs). Those games deserve remasters, not Horizon (a game that still looks great).

It's not just that R&C is so far away, the leaked lineup wouldn't be so dismal if it wasn't a literal decade of nothing but Marvel imo. Marvel has already been everywhere in the past 15 years, Insomniac's entire output becoming Marvel games just makes me kind of sad. I guess I should be grateful R&C even found it's place in that lineup because fans of Sunset Overdrive and Resistance weren't even that fortunate.

The next R&C game would be release with the next playstation home console. Its like they make R&C game just to show how powerful the console is and show what its capable of. I think they are more likely to focus on porting older R&C games to pc, PS4 and PS5.
Totally agree! I would love them to port older games but the future of Ratchet & Clank is in the balance! If they could keep the series alive and manage to do both I’m all for it but if it’s one or the other, it definitely has to be the series future 😁🤙🏻

This is worrying because the voice actors are getting old and if the age gap between new projects continues to be around 8 years, we'll have fewer performances from them. A shorter gap between releases would mean we get to hear more from these actors. Ratchet's voice actor is 55, Clank's is 59, Nefarious' is 74, Rivet's is 52 or 59 and kit's is 62

I mean hey, rushed games never turn out well, and so long as the progress is slow and steady, with ample checking along development to make sure nothing breaks in a way that would hinder player's experiences, this game will hopefully be another solid entry into the series.
They don’t however the first 3 games of Ratchet and clank were all behind schedule and understaffed and they still managed to make great games each year pretty much at the same time!

Something I've always thought is that Crash and Spyro got the "Trilogy Remake" treatment (hell, Crash got a whole new game because of it), so why hasn't R&C? When's the Ratchet & Clank Reloaded Trilogy, Insomniac? Hell, through Deadlocked in there too, it deserves it!

It is but when the leak originally happened it was an either or for both spidey online and Xmen to be released, now Spider-Man online is shelved (but not scrapped) and Xmen is after R&C2029 (thank god) 😁🤙🏻
I used to buy the consoles for R&C. The PS2 had R&C 1, 2, 3, Gladiator, Size Matters and SAC. The PS3 had ToD, QfB, ACiT, All 4 one, FFA and Nexus. But the PS4 only had 1 R&C game and by the looks of things, the PS5 will be the same. I can’t warrant buying another console for the next R&C if it’s just gonna be one game per console generation.

What we actually need is more Resistance games. I’ve been playing through the trilogy on my gaming laptop thanks to emulation and it’s a lot of fun aside from a few hiccups. Recently ordered a modded Vita and that will let me play the handheld spinoffs. It’s too bad that we wont see anything in that franchise unless someone else makes it (we’ve learned from the Insomniac leaks that NOTHING Resistance related is in the pipeline). At the very least Sony should have one of their support studios make a (Master Chief Collection) style collection of the Resistance games and put it on PS5/PC. That would be infinitely better than a Horizon remaster (which is entirely unnecessary because it still looks good, PS5 got a patch, and on PC you can use graphical/gameplay mods to enhance the experience).
Sadly I have a feeling both Resistance and next Ratchet & Clank are the games that will fade from Insomniacs main view. You're totally right though, if anything gamers are hungry to see the history of the game devs behind their favourite games and all the devs are currently doing is trying to erase their histories for some reason. We waited 8 years for a sequel to Into the Nexus, in these 8 years we were unsure whether the mainline series would continue or not... Now we have that confirmation, and for what? Another 8 years of waiting! And even worse, after playing Rift Apart I believe that Into the Nexus is the perfect ending for the 'other dimensions' arc and the mainline series should've stopped there. Yeah Rift Apart is good but it adds too many retcons and plot holes

I have some opinions about the next game:
1. I hope that this will be the last game of Ratchet and Clank. Im saying this because i have a massive fear of my favorite game or any kind of media getting so milked to the point its a different game. I might be delusional or something idk but I think we had enough games and the plot should finally end after so many years. And im not the only one, the people on reddit also agree with me.
2. If Dr. Nefarious returns, I wont play it. Yeah he is a cool villain, but after playing All 4 One (which is a terrible game if you play it alone imo) i felt like he was forced into the franchise. At least they made it work in A Crack in Time, but, like I said, Im against milking a franchise or a character to the point we hate them/it. Probably thats why I like the space pirates so much. Simple Side Villains, had their own small game that was enjoyable, and cool counterparts (I love my man Pierre), and guess what? Not overused! Same goes with other villains like Drek, Vox, The prog siblings (i also love them, they just perfectly describe sibling love), and Tachyon, which allows me to go on the next point.
3. Tachyon should return. I know what i said about why Villains that appear only once in a game are more appealing, but if they'd tried to do the same with Tachyon like with Dr. Nefarious with a Crack in Time, I would be more than happy. Why did I choose Tachyon of all other villains? Because he's important! He had a big role in the past of the Lombaxes, and for a last game it would be just a perfect to end the lore. As far as Ive read the comics, Tachyon is not dead but chilling in the dimension he was defeated in. So if Insomniac Games somehow manages to throw him back to the franchise and actually do him well and not dirty like Dr. Nefarious, it would be very good for them.

2. Again agree! He’s died a death in terms of exposure, I wouldn’t mind him being in it if there were conditions met, like if he’s a side character like zurkon for reference and banter. Besides they’re are plenty of other villains of the past that could also show some variants or even brand new characters!
3rd and finally I love your stance on tachyon! That makes total sense and would definitely benefit the storyline since it plays into the plot of the next game. I would personally like an evil ratchet that’s hunting lombaxes with the help of successful villain variants, throw in ratchet having his ark completed meeting his true family etc and that would do me nicely. What will get I think will be another story but here’s hoping! 🤙🏻
I’d rather some other studio make ratchet and clank. Insomniac has gone woke and rift apart’s story sucked. Rivet is not what ratchet would have been if he never met clank. Ace headlight is what ratchet would have been without clank. I worry that if they make another ratchet game, it will be woke and I just don’t think I could bear to watch my favorite game turn into that

I'm a huge fan with Ratchet and Clank, and I hope the next game is good. The reason it's taking so long could be this. Every game console generation has gotten longer and longer to develop a game and gotten even more expensive to make where the budgets have gotten out of control. Also, given the fact that Disney has a seat at Sonys and a partnership at the table since they own Marvel and so they are going to push for more marvel products than original ips, because Disney wants to corner the market.

@@ratchet1122 while Rift apart was miles better than the movie game from 2016 it still felt lacking in a lot of areas when it came to story and characters, Ratchet still has his nerdy boyscout personality he had in the movie instead of the sassy tough guy hero from the earlier games. And Rivet felt kinda one dimensional.
As much as it hurts to say I would like insomniac to give the rights to another developer after the next installment.

unpopular opinion. I wish insomniac made a R&C game like up your arsenal with that games edginess and multiplayer to return for their new game. I feel like the whole rivet and kit added into the game just makes the game feel like its for little kids. Same with 2016 they made the game feel so PG. Rift apart felt like it went all woke or something. I could definitely speak for a lot of people that we would like a more mature ratchet and clank game but I'm not sure insomniac will do that. 2016 and Rift Apart seem to be tip toeing over things, like Insomniac don’t know what they’re going to do next and that sucks. What new insomniac characters could we see happen? I hope we can track down Emperor Nefarious in the kraken dimension alive since he is a robot so that he may get revenge on Dr. Nefarious, Ratchet, Clank, Rivet and Kit probably with help from evil versions of Ratchet and Clank. My guesses are Evil Ratchet could shoot down the kraken and then Evil Clank would catch Emperor Nefarious as he falls and they will bring him back to be repaired. Could we expect a female goblin in Spider Man 3 ?

They should take care of Ratchet & Clank and other series definitely! But I wouldn’t call their Marvel projects slop, Spider-Man 1 & 2 were amazing to play, 100% worth your time if you haven’t played already 😁🤙🏻

I see where you’re coming from my friend but I believe the reason all those gamers didn’t buy it straight away was because the devs focused too much on brushing up the look of it more than the substance the game was founded on. The guns, the silly but entertaining bad guys and the scale they could have made these games, they feel quite small in the grand scheme of things, what do you think? Hey mate, I honestly so far have had a great experience with it, up until now my content hasn’t been very searchable as a low sub channel and because of that I haven’t had the opportunity to get A) as much feedback from viewers B) analytics that can tell me more clearly what is and isn’t working like a thumbnail or video structure. And finally it’s been a great way of reaching out to some genuine people that have similar interests, I want this to be a reputable channel for great content and community! So having the audience come and grant me their unbiased opinions on my content really has helped so far! Would 100% recommend it, but I’d like to add that whatever you choose to promote should be content you believe you’ve made well, because then you can see where you opinion of your content is and where you’re viewer’s opinions are in relation to that 😁🤙🏻
