I have to say that your videos are so well done, every time. You’re one of the only creators (Eamon and Bec, Kara And Nate, etc.) where I just enjoy the story you’re telling and am not so distracted by the music or editing or even the way you behave on camera because you’re both so natural. The fact that I don’t get distracted by the feeling of how you make the video shows how well you both are crafting them. It’s really inspirational and reminds me to recognize what is beautiful in my life, too. Thanks guys. 🙏🏻
I'm a water snob too. I can tell the difference even between bottled spring water brands. POLAND Springs from Maine is my favorite! The best tap water I have ever had is from my In-Laws home. It came straight from the natural spring on their property.
Yes, I know “wafting!” Hubby and I stayed at Lassen National Park this week and the smell of In-N-Out grilled onions was “wafting” through the campground, so we took a walk to find them!!! We love you guys and say prayers for you! Very thankful for all you do for us!!!
Nathan has put a whole new meaning to DIY’s lol! Do It Yourself in a Year! I was laughing so hard I almost fell off my couch. I love you guys! 🤗😘 I needed that!
Hey Nathan, knowing Marisa is a nurse it does not suprise me she used the word wafting. I am sure other people use it as well but it's definitely a nursing word. You two are amazing!!
You are so right. There are lots of things wafting in a nursing environment. I would also guess that anyone with a good sense of smell knows about wafting.. Working with food, wafting is a thing there too. Comes up pretty often in literature or books because it is so evocative. Love you guys, and when Marissa is right!
Nathan, it doesn't matter where you slow down the flow any restriction will slow down the whole system. Yes, I do know what waft means, verb: pass or cause to pass easily or gently through or as if through the air; noun: a gentle movement of air. Usage: "The smell of honeysuckle wafts through the evening air." Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hug for me.
Nathan, The dirty water.... for frost protection these yard hydrants dump their water into the ground when you close them. That means they have a little hole, an open connection to the soil around the hydrant. Clean water can go out, but muddy water can come in too. That explains while at the start of use you will have water of shady quality. We open these kind of hydrants only once, then flush it well, and use a second little garden hose valve to turn the water on and off from then on , which keeps the hydrant under pressure and clean. Only when we leave for the winter do we close the hydrant and take the second valve off to empty the hydrant.
He's right. We had an outdoor hydrant that ran clear water for years until one spring. When we installed it the bottom was incased in pea gravel, but after a few years the backflush water (what drains out and makes it "freeze proof") had created an underground mud puddle. So when you turned it on it sucked up the muddy water. Run your water for about 10 minutes and see how clear it gets.
If you have well water that looks like that, I’d say that your well isn’t deep enough. My Dad always said our wells had to be deep enough to go through three layers of natural gravel filtering. If you have city water, don’t let them pass that “normal crap” off on you! Maybe they can’t take all the lime out, but they should at least take all the rust and sediment out. Either way, maybe consider the Clear Source 3-stage filter. We installed that on our rig and ALL water incoming to either our pipes or fresh tank go through it. We have great water wherever we go. I think its much better than just filtering at point of consumption. Thank you for sharing all the possible filtering ways… and cheers to good clean water!
im not sure if you have looked into recirculating shower systems for the rv? the van lifers are loving this option. it is a series of filters that saves your overall on board requirements for boondocking. what happens is...the water comes out...falls on you....gets funky and or soapy....collects in a reservoir and is filteredin real time and travels back up to your showerhead so you can use the same 2ish gallons over and over until you consume it. you can take an hour long shower if you want!. paired with on demand hot water...real luxury.
I was wondering what an “upgade”was…😉 I have always enjoyed your shared stories and adventures. That you’re just regular folks on a great adventure. Keep yourselves that way! Thanks for sharing whatever is on your minds - and your hearts! Godspeed!
Our beddy's is currently sitting on the picnic table, we're done with it...can't stand it anymore. We have used them for about 2 months. They don't have a top sheet, which is fine I guess if you can keep your A/C at 55 maybe? We were always too hot or then too cold when we would kick off the top blanket. We have a queen and we haven't been to a laundromat yet that we can actually get it clean or dry.
I am a science teacher. Marissa wafted correctly. You never smell anything directly from a beaker or test tube because it might be dangerous to inhale.
Great vlog guys, I couldn't believe the colour of the water. I've definitely heard the word wafting before. You're such a great couple and family. Take care, enjoy your week. ❤❤🇬🇧
Thanks so much for this video! Specifically, we have a rear living room Montana with two queen fold outs in our couches for our kids because we didn’t want a mid bunk. In short, putting a cover, sheets, and blankets was a hassle each night and each morning. With this we can put it on at night, unzip it, sleep, zip it back up, take it off, roll it up and toss it in storage plus the kids can now do it themselves because its so easy. Also, we found two sets that were on sale for almost $90 off (because we don’t care about the design necessarily) bought two sets and the discount code you gave still WORKED!! Thanks! Basically it brought the price for two (on sale) sets down to the retail price of one set. Incredible deal! Thanks much!!
Yes, wafting is a thing. I love that you use ball jars in this video. My grandmother did the same and it stuck a bit with me too. Gonna miss out on November event due to Nursing School. Would like to have been there. Will be watching for future events. May God bless your feet and keep your tires on the road! 😁
Yes, wafting is what you do to get a sense of smell from an item (like bacteria grown in microbiology on petri dishes). By doing the wafting you do not directly inhale above the substance, which could be hazardous, but rather you get s sense of the smell of the substance. Nice tips - thank you.
Get yourself a three pack of 10"x 2.5" water filter units, connect two or three of them together in series. Add the hose fittings on the filters. Use a particulate filter first followed up by a carbon filter. This will give you the best water clarity and taste.
You can slow water on either side. The reason it works on the output is water cannot come in any faster than it goes out. We also use the Clear2o water filter and sediment filter combo. The water filter is available at Walmart and it's green, not the cheap blue camco filters. The sediment filter is available online.
Wafting is for sure a thing! I learned about it in chemistry class in high school. That’s how you don’t accidentally poison yourself by directly smelling a chemical that could be caustic.
I would definitely put a filter outside to filter the water. That water was nasty. It did look like iced tea’ I like that the couch you bought can store things underneath it. Very nice.
OMG we caught your videos earlier this summer and have fallen in love with you all! I have never heard of Beddys, and just ordered a set for our solitude. We are from Colorado and just spent weekend in Estes Park. I have to make the bed every day (bit of OCD) LOL Love love love the Beddys! Thank you for sharing! BTW I too am a water snob! 💧 🤪
Of you slow down the outflow from the filter then that means you have also slowed down the inflow on a closed loop system. Good hacks and Hope you don't drink that yellow water!
Your not alone Nathan....I too haven't heard of "Woft" and although you did have it correct, I too love to do things twice to get it right! Lol. As for the brownish orange water, I definitely think the water main is broken somewhere down the line and highly doubt changing the spicket will change anything...not unless the spicket itself is whats cracked?
To quote John at the RV Odd Squad says regarding water, "If you do not have a filter, you are the filter." As long as the flow is restricted, there will only be a small amount of water flowing through the filter at once. Yes, waft is the correct term.
A video explaining what was required for the NVIDEA Shield to work for an RV would be awesome. How do campers store Netflix or other movies digitally, and not have to use their hotspot data to watch tv shows and movies?
We have matching drinking glasses. We live in the desert and have filters on everything. Filters on filters, its seems like. Love your videos. Thank you.
Thank you both for taking the time to share all of you content. I've been thinking about getting a water filter for our 5th wheel, and was wondering if you still like this system? Thank you :)

I'm with you Marrisa. I can't stand when the water looks bad. I won't drink it. I'm so enjoying all of your videos. Sending many prayers and love for your family.

Yes, I like using the word Waft 👍🏻 But I learned something new: subwoofer is correct. I always said "subwoofa". I guess it's my Maine accent lol. I literally laughed out loud when I looked up the spelling. Thank you for a great video! 🙂
Wow is that some ugly water… We run our cabin on rain water that we collect from the roof and then through a couple filters… It’s a pain sometimes but it’s clear as a bell… Been watching y’all for a while now… Really enjoy it…
Country water is something else...my MIL use to have water that orange color...gross! The file folder holders is a great idea! Also, yes, I know the word Waft. LOL!
I installed a clear source ultra and a water softener in my fifth wheel basement. Then in the kitchen I installed a Reverse Osmosis which flows into the Acuva Ultra UV filter. Overkill??? But it is superb!
Where did you get the light fixtures above the couch and table on the slide? We are doing some DIY to our camper and I have been looking for a light, and I love those.
Yes, I know what waft means! Team Marissa on this one. 😁
Right?!
I have to say that your videos are so well done, every time. Trent are fun to watch in Utah, there building there own home:)
I'm a water snob too. I can tell the difference even between bottled spring water brands. POLAND Springs from Maine is my favorite! The best tap water I have ever had is from my In-Laws home. It came straight from the natural spring on their property.
so glad you got the water upgraded and wafting the aroma of the new water was priceless
I can always taste the Difference in water too
Yes, I know “wafting!”
Hubby and I stayed at Lassen National Park this week and the smell of In-N-Out grilled onions was “wafting” through the campground, so we took a walk to find them!!!

Yes Marissa,I know what a "waft" means! I'm a Southern girl originally from SC but now lives in Texas and i use that word. 🙂
Good see you ‘on the run’ this morning, Nathan!
Nathan, it doesn't matter where you slow down the flow any restriction will slow down the whole system. Yes, WAFT is a word and I LOVE the pinkie with the water!

Same thing a chef does to smell foods.
What a bunch of cool RV hacks! Thanks for sharing. You two made my day!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great vlog guys, I couldn't believe the colour of the water. I've definitely heard the word wafting before. You're such a great couple and family. Take care, enjoy your week. ❤❤🇬🇧
I wish we could be there with you and team journey! One day I hope 🤞 We will wait for the video!
Thank you for all the great information. Blessings

Think you’re going to really like having the tank monitors! Yes, no waft in 💦 now..lol! Appreciate you two so much!
Thank you.
Marissa: I I love your dress!
That was a mouthful of information. Thanks Guys for the tips!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you.

Yes, waft is definitely a term I learned in science class, can’t remember which one though.

Thanks for the tips!
Beddy's bedding is so amazing. I just got two sets for my son's day bed and trundle. He loves it. It's super soft and comfy.
It really is!
At 7:21 loving the Upgades. LOL.
Honestly you get what you pay for you want quality you have to pay and if that's your entertainment, then don't do 50% do it right!! I agree!!
Thanks you two.
If I’m having a crummy day, like today. Your videos always make me feel better.
Our pleasure!
Your water matches your couches!!! 😘 Sure-wafting but im a nurse....lol Still love u guys from back in the class A days....woot!!!
Get yourself a three pack of 10"x 2.5" water filter units, connect two or three of them together in series. Add the hose fittings on the filters. Use a particulate filter first followed up by a carbon filter. This will give you the best water clarity and taste.
Yes!!! I’m a nurse as well and we say it all the time especially the whauft of poop lol
Yes... the smell of baked bread wafted through the hous

Yes!! I’m a science teacher, so we teach wafting in lab safety lol 🧪
Marissa you crack me up, WHAFT AWAY! also, lift those weights lady! whoot woot!
Fun video!!
And yes, waft is a real word that is used in normal every day conversations 😆
Oh Nathan….. ‘wafting’ is most definitely a word. LOL
I would definitely put a filter outside to filter the water. That water was nasty. It did look like iced tea’ I like that the couch you bought can store things underneath it. Very nice.
Love your "Upgades" Lol
OMG we caught your videos earlier this summer and have fallen in love with you all! I have never heard of Beddys, and just ordered a set for our solitude. We are from Colorado and just spent weekend in Estes Park. I have to make the bed every day (bit of OCD) LOL Love love love the Beddys! Thank you for sharing! BTW I too am a water snob! 💧 🤪
Hope you enjoy! We have loved it.
Wafting is used often in Canada . A very popular word.
Of you slow down the outflow from the filter then that means you have also slowed down the inflow on a closed loop system. Good hacks and Hope you don't drink that yellow water!
waft is a smell floating in the air just like the smell of Smoked turkey wafting in the air, water is generally tested by sight and taste.
How does Nathan not know about waft and wafting? Lol! Love y’all! Great video!
More info on the hard drive and other box under the TV for when you don't have internet. Didn't geek out enough on that aspect lol
Plex?
Your not alone Nathan....I too haven't heard of "Woft" and although you did have it correct, I too love to do things twice to get it right! Lol. As for the brownish orange water, I definitely think the water main is broken somewhere down the line and highly doubt changing the spicket will change anything...not unless the spicket itself is whats cracked?
Yes, I know what waft is! Interesting hacks.
waft, right next to waffle iron in the Webster's New World Dictionary; to carry sound, odor, etc. lightly through the air.
Consider filming the hydrant replacement….it is on my DIY…Doit in a decade or two list…thanks
We’d love to come to a get to get her someday. Yes we know what a waft is! 🇨🇦
We still do.
Sorry I thrown offline earlier before I could finish my comments. I love your 6 hacks. Very nicely done too! I didn’t know but glad they do have propane sensors that’s pretty nice. You both were funny with the water and trying to JJ to drink it germ he wanted a Shake. That was cute. Then Marissa you Nathan with the water were so funny! 😂 Love you guys! ❤🤗
I was thinking of getting the berky, but this looks cool.
re water of course you want safety but i think the benefit to filtering your water is consistency. as you say its so difficult on the road. in my exp you can get used to anything. i dont move around a whole lot so i make a point to train myself to use tap water for drinking and cooking. i know its safe if not perfect and if i was truly worried the crap i add to my water in the form of crystal light, coffee creamer etc makes my concerns less than credible. so i get used to whats easiest to procure.
in your case theres nothing to become familiar with so filtering may give you a consistent product to start from and then i would def be looking to make do with the simplest water solution available so you can stay hydrated and healthy. skipping because you dont like the available water can lead to trouble!
So your LP tanks, what's far ,far easier is a simple swap over valve. When ones done it simply switches over to the next tank with no break in service. Swap over valve is the way to go 😚
Ofcourse you don't get paid for you Lipart and advert.
Just a heads up here. Yes flow restriction is slowed down either way of coming in or going out with that restricter. But you do have it backwards from what the photo you showed on the phone. The diagram does show the restrictor going into the filter and not out like the way you have it.
The flow restrictor is after the filters instead of before the filters so there is more pressure to push through the filters. If the restrictor was before the filters it would be much harder for the water to go through the filters. Either way the flow is being restricted (before or after), its mainly just if they want the pressure low or high on the actual substrate.

Awesome, we hope you like them as much as we do.
I can imagine installing plumbing appliances is like working on those 1980s and 1990 desktop computers installing memory chips and memory boards and hard drive cables. Usually blind. You had to feel what you were installing rarely could you see what you were installing.
Nathan is the only one... totally know what wafting is, LOL!
Thanks for setting your recording device down when you are recording. The video doesn't make me seasick like your last video that you held by hand when you were recording.
I had a friend that had the same problem. They were replacing pipe lines a block away and after they changed them it stopped. It’s rust!!!
Fantastic and fun video. Plumbing in an rv is definitely not fun and I have not done that much. Replaced a kitchen faucet and tomorrow replace the upper seal on the toilet. I am getting there, lol. We have a water filter u dear the kitchen sink and one on the incoming water hose so no problem there. Thanks for your hacks, may have to try some of those. Not tooooo far from you in Bristol, TN.
Nathan obviously did t take a science class. Wafting is even in my spell check on my phone. Lmao. Lv u guys.
Totally know what wafting is 😁
I'm with you Marrisa. I can't stand when the water looks bad. I won't drink it. I'm so enjoying all of your videos. Sending many prayers and love for your family.
Thanks so much
Just subscribed to your channel and love it! I learned of your channel from Matt’s RV reviews and my husband and are considering a 378MBS! I love what you have done with yours on the inside and the custom paint job on the outside is gorgeous! BTW- I do know what wafting is! Must just be Nathan that doesn’t! 🤣
Thanks so much! We have loved this model! Matt is a blast!
@@LessJunkMoreJourney You’re very welcome! He seems like he would be! I love his videos!
I’d be interested to know if the water looks like that if you let it run at full volume for 3 minutes. Hydrants flow fast which tends to flush the line and the water looks like this until it’s flushed.
Are you going to stay in Florida for the winter and go to the Tampa RV Show
We will travel around but probably spend much of the winter in Florida.

Toddler shoes is why Crocs were invented
Yes, I like using the word Waft 👍🏻
But I learned something new: subwoofer is correct. I always said "subwoofa". I guess it's my Maine accent lol. I literally laughed out loud when I looked up the spelling. Thank you for a great video! 🙂
Thanks so much for the Beddys promo code ‼ Keep up the good work on passing on the hacks 😊
You are so welcome!
Wow that water. Great video thanks for sharing and as always stay safe and God bless love ya Nancy
Thanks so much
Go watch the Wayward Waggs! They just installed a water filtration system.
Wow is that some ugly water… We run our cabin on rain water that we collect from the roof and then through a couple filters… It’s a pain sometimes but it’s clear as a bell… Been watching y’all for a while now… Really enjoy it…
We had the same issue with making the bed in the RV. The Beddy's are pricy but worth every penny.
Oh wow! That’s amazing!
Yes i know what waft is!
I want a chocolate shake too, J J 😊
Love all these hacks they are definitely useful.🙂🇨🇦❤👍👍👍
Glad you like them!
Our local water was ok until Covid. It has been full of chlorine since. I love my filtering pitcher.
High quality H2O!!
Absolutely know what what if. Hi Nathion 🤭🙃
Where did you get the light fixtures above the couch and table on the slide? We are doing some DIY to our camper and I have been looking for a light, and I love those.
Amazon 😀
