Yep, here in Oregon a little rain never hurts……it keeps us green. Rain or shine, camping - hiking - kayaking - perfect for fishing - put your hood on (no umbrella) and your Teva’s and just go. I love visiting Cannon Beach, Rockaway, Depot Bay ANY TIME of the year ❤
You can’t stop doing stuff in the rain here or you’d never do anything. But the grey gets super old. When I moved here 7 years ago I wondered how long before it got old. Two years. That’s how long.
I enjoyed this video so much! In late March/early April of 2022, I visited 3 of your 4 destinations (all but the shipwreck)in Oregon. I've been a full-time RVer since April 2021, and Oregon was one of the biggest surprises for me! I camped multiple places near the coast and also on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge. The day I saw "your" waterfall, I saw 3 others as well. There are a total of 77 waterfalls on the Oregon side alone! I am obsessed with the spectacular beauty of the beaches of the Southern Oregon Coast! And it was so fun to revisit Tillamook again! I definitely got ice cream and a lot of cheese for the road. My collector refrigerator magnet says, "Keep it Cheesy!" One of my favorite hikes was not far from Tillamook, in Oswald State Park. The Short Sands Trail to Short Sands beach is a great one! And there's a waterfall on the beach! Happy trails and keep on truckin'!
We live in Oregon, we visit the Oregon state parks several times a year. Happy to see you did a video for these beautiful parks. We enjoy them all 12 months in our RV, Rain or shine it is great every trip. Hope you and your family enjoyed your trip in our beautiful state. Happy Camping!
We lived in Alaska and the Yukon for several years. Alaskans just go on with life, no matter the weather. If you sit home and wait for sunshine and good weather, you won't get too much accomplished, and your day is wasted. Yes, the roads are solid ice all winter. As well, the coast of Alaska gets a lot of precip all summer long. But Alaskans are a hearty bunch, and winter time is their fun time, because you work your butt off all summer long so you can have fun in the winter time. I suspect it's the same for the pacific northwest folks too...rain or shine, nothing fun happens when you stay inside all the time...get out and explore- rain or shine!
Nice to see you exploring my home state. You’re on the rainy/green 1/3 of the state. I’m from the central part of Oregon, over by Bend/Redmond. The majority of Oregon is high desert. Most people who ask me about Oregon talk about how green it is. I feel obligated to tell them the state is MUCH more diverse. You totally should go east to the Cascade mountains. I grew up on the West side of the mountains. In the snow! Also there is a 7 mile hiking trail on top of the falls, Larch mountain trail. I hiked that as a kid! Have fun in your travels!
We’ve lived in Oregon for 25 years after coming from the Midwest. The rain was an adjustment but it’s such a lovely and varied state and so much to see. Hiking to the top of Multnomah Falls is definitely an adventure. Loved seeing your reactions to our beautiful state!
Ft Stevens has over 10 miles of bike paths. We live there, when not traveling. I guess you should know, the rainy season starts on the Oregon coast, the second week in October, and goes til the 5th of July. So anyone who is traveling the Oregon coast, remember this. There are puffins on haystack rock. You missed The Goonies house, in Astoria. And you missed the jetty, that free Willy jumped over. That was in Hammond, about a mile from Ft Stevens. You should have also visited the maritime museum. That is the Tillamook Light house. We call it “Terrible Tilly” she’s no longer manned, because it was too hard to put someone on the rocks, in bad weather. Plus the last one out there, went insane. We just live with the rain. It’s what we do. It rains all the time. In a kayak, you’re getting wet anyway. The rain keeps the crowds down. BUT with that said…. This is Why we winter in Arizona now. 60 years of wet rainy winters, gets to you after awhile. Enjoy your trip. It’s definitely worth it.
We felt the same when we saw Cannon Beach this summer. Our kids grew up watching Goonies a few hundred times, I’m sure. When we went across the bridge to Astoria, it was a huge deal. Yes, we towed our 5th wheel through the homes and finally to the parking lot. Hardly anyone was there but it was rainy and a weekday. We loved it! Thanks for sharing!
In our neck of the woods now. Welcome to Oregon's liquid sunshine!! Rain and fog is soo beautiful, ...but not always convenient. You got some great footage.
We lived in Washington state for a short time. The ladies would meet at church early in the morning, and exercise using a exercise video. They adapted to their climate😊 My daughter and I used umbrellas and took walks, exploring the cities. The drizzling rain sure makes things green there! We saw roses that had bloomed so huge that it looked like they could explode! It was so opposite from the tiny roses we saw in New Mexico, so it left an impression on me😊 Also, there were signs saying people could clear out blackberries for a price! I had never seen a place so full of blackberries that it was considered a nuisance! Perspective is key to opinions!
This RV adventure is amazing! 🚐You’ve captured the beauty of Oregon so well! Thanks for taking us along on Marissa’s journey list-it’s truly inspiring! 🌊✨
Used to live 15 miles from Ben and Jerry's in VT and in the early days they had seconds which were pints that had too many chips, etc. for a $1. They used to donate huge amounts to non profits. But now in NC, I love that Tillamook!
Love this video to see a new perspective on my home state (shared with Idaho). First and foremost, Tillamook cheese and ice cream are the absolute best and trust me, I have tried them all. Second of all, I spend one week of every month in Oceanside, Oregon and I promise, I see the sun almost every day I am here. It rains and then the sun. I always tell people there is no such thing as a bad day at the beach. Love the sunny days but love the gloomy stormy days just as much.
This is so true. We go to the ocean as often as possible! We lived in the Willamette Valley …1 hr from the beach and 2 hrs to the Cascades (central Oregon). Retired to Central Oregon mtns where the sun shines nearly every day! We get snowy sunny days. Oregon IS a wonderful state. We’re still exploring places in Oregon we haven’t visited yet. We love WA and ID also. So nice to see your family enjoying the area. Hint: July 4th to Oct is great for camping with less rain 😊. May to July nice in the Valley.. and mtns.
We lived in Coos Bay for five years and it was a competition with our friends to see who could move from there first. It was us. The Oregon coast is a fun place to visit, but not a great place to live. We live in Southern Oregon now. Much dryer and we see the sun a lot here. We love it.
Thank you showing that shipwreck! Thank goodness no one died in the wreck. Love the beach and the rock formation. It’s awesome to see. That’s awesome that the Goonies was made there. That’s so cool to see where they filmed. Seeing the ocean is so beautiful. Free Willie too and Twilight. I have seen all these movies. Except Twilight. Thank you for taking me with you and giving me the experience of knowing about the shipwreck and the movies. Hope you have a great week and I’ll see you soon! Safe travels. I hope your new home is coming along very well.
You’re around 40 miles from us! Oregonians don’t use umbrellas, you can see people in shorts all year long sometimes 😂! We just got done with the drought we usually have in summer, so we’re glad for rain. It keeps our state one of the most beautiful you’ll find. I think Texas gets more rain than we actually do! In the other hand, I do love visiting the sun!
So funny about your comments of life with the rain. I felt the same and when we’re were 1st visiting our son who lives in Portland he quickly told me “mom, people don’t use umbrellas here in the PNW, just put a rain jacket on”. It’s true… life goes on normally because it rains often especially November-April. Beautiful area tho!!
We spent this past summer in Hammond at the KOA across the street from the entrance to Fort Stephen’s state park! We were at the ship wreak almost daily and had so many rides to cannon beach eating chowder . And went to tillamook and the bay to crab! Loved it!
Love Oregon and the parks, mountains, and beaches. I totally understand the frustration with having all the people at the park. It makes it hard to enjoy the scenary, and take great pictures. When we go to places, my husband and I will go early to avoid crowds.
Haystack Rock consists of basalt that is more resistant than the generally very soft marine sediments that make up much of the coast in this area. The basalt is Columbia River Basalt Group magma that erupted as huge flood basalts in northeast Oregon and southeast Washington. The lava flows extended down the ancestral route of the Columbia River all the way to the Pacific Ocean about 15 million years ago.
We saw Multnomah Falls this year, too. What drives me crazy is that people will stand in front of the most beautiful spots and take up so much time. I try to get my photos and then move out of the way so others can get photos. It is an epic view. We saw another beautiful one real near there called Horsetail Falls. We found it by accident when looking for Multnomah Falls.
I've been to Fort Steven and the Haystacks. Went to Fort Stevens when I went to visit everything in Astoria concerning The Goonies. Went to the Haystacks when exploring the area again with my siblings after our cruise to Alaska. They are totally awesome! Thankfully I had better weather when I went. Just love all of your suggestions. I have a gazillion lists of suggestions from you and so many others.
I'm so glad you folks got to see these sites. I visited the Peter Iredale and Fort Stevens about 5 years ago in my previous RV, alone with staying in Tilamook. That 101 drive down the coast is really one of the most amazing drives ever.
I had friend who grew up in CT , he lived in NC for a while and he amused and befuddled that when they got a tiny bit of snow everything closed down everything , Here in New England you gotta keep on going , leave a bit earlier or you will be late but you will be there
I live in Westport, WA... Washington all 71 years of my life... you wanna kow if its normal for us to be out in a kayak in the rain ,,,,well, if we wait for the rain to stop before we do anything, we would never do anything,,,,,lol when its cold and rainy, i stay in,,,, if i had a rv like you guys, Id be out looking for sunshine when it got cold... I LOVE where I live and wouldnt live anywhere else.....
I guess we were lucky to have been on cannon beach this last June and it did not Rain on us...that in itself is a first! great to see how the kids have grown! Blessings guys!
We stayed in Long Beach, WA and were in Astoria and down the coast catching all the spots you showed in this video back in May 2024. We live east of Tacoma, WA, so try to do this trip every so often. The coast is beautiful! When we were there, it was sunny, but we also got rain.
Spent my life in the PNW (55 years) and rain never stops us. We garden, hike, camp, play ball, do everything in the rain. If we waited for a "nice" day we'd be fat and it would be boring. Also, we seldom put up an umbrella. Just put the hood up and go! We can spot tourist a mile away. We even think about what hair style can I do in the rain.
Incredible views, yes, Oregon has it all, BUT I could never get used to ALL the daily rain. A wonderful place to visit, but It would not be on my want to live there list. THANK YOU for sharing your journey !
It is buried and sometimes when giant winter storms come in and take several feet of sand out to sea a bunch more gets exposed. Gold Beach is the place on the Oregon Coast for sunshine it gets more sunny days than any coastal area from San Fransico to Vancouver Canada
hello guys I used to live in Oregon. what an incredible place. I remember when I went to cannon beach.. that year it got up to 103 degrees in the Portland area. and as I got closer to cannon beach, it was so much cooler. it was like a natural air conditioner. so cool. have fun. and thanks for flushing out a Memorie that I forgot👍
These were sites we visited in fall of 2022. We took our RV. Since my husband wanted full hook-ups we stayed at the KOA across the street from Ft. Stevens. How we wished we would have reserved at Ft. Stevens. I kept trying to get in but never did. Oh, well. It still was a great experience except for the fact we all got covid. Thankfully we had Ivermectin and felt better in a few days, but we still lack the energy we would have liked to have to see all the things. We visited the shipwreck of course. My husband drove our Dodge down on the beach then we were worried the whole time that we wouldn't get out as we saw one truck get stuck. We made it out but had to put it in 4-wheel drive. We went to Cannon and Indian beaches as well as another one I can't remember the name of now. Tillamook was great. We saw the waterfall a different time about 12 years ago when we stayed further down the coast and into California. I love the Pacific! Thanks for the video.
Oregon has two seasons: Wet and dry. The wet season is from September through June, and the dry season is July and August. There is a reason many of the outdoor rain gear is made in the Pacific Northwest!😁 You made it to some epoch places in Oregon. Have you been to Crater Lake National Park? Central Oregon has High Deserts, lava caves. In the Northeast section, there are beautiful mountains and valleys, similar looking to the Alps. Other iconic movies filmed in Oregon are "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" in Salem, and "Kindergarten Cop" in Astoria.
we hiked Larch Mtn down. We were the only ones on the trail at the top...and by the time we made it to the brink....it was busy. Luv us some Multnomah Falls
Cannon Beach is a favorite of mine as well. Columbia Gorge and the waterfalls are so beautiful! I haven’t seen the remains of the ship, that’s incredible!! Cannon beach has other parking.
One of my best friends lives in Oregon. Many very beautiful waterfalls in that state. I like that one but there are some much larger. Thanks for the video. Good to see you guys again. I know there is 12 or more Beautiful waterfalls in Oregon.
HI NATHAN MARISSA HENSLEY JJ 👋 REALLY GORGEOUS SCENERY, PLACES TO VISIT , LOVE THE HISTORY ❤JUST NEED SOAP WITH ALL THE RAINY WEATHER 🌧 BE SAFE ☺️ 🙏 KEEP HAVING FUN ☺️ 🙏ENJOYED ☺️ 🙏GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 😊 🙏THANK YOU ☺️ 🙏 LIVING THROUGH YOUR ADVENTURES ☺️ 🙏
During El Nino, 26 years ago more of the ship was uncovered than had been seen in years. Most of it is under the sand. My daughter is 28 and had a last playing in it when she was 2. Nancy.
Astoria is one of the coolest little towns. We’ve been there several times & always stayed at Ft Stevens, an awesome SP. Then it’s a choice going up the Columbia or down the coast, either one is epic.
Those condos behind you at cannon beach used to be cabins and bunkhouses. When we were kids my mom would rent a cabin and a bunkhouse and we would stay for a week at spring break
Live in WA, Have been to all of them multiple times. Tillamook cheese & ice cream is available at almost all grocery stores in WA & OR.. No need to go to the factory.
As an Oregon native. If you don’t like the weather in Oregon……wait 5 minutes, it’ll change. Lol. So fun to see your family enjoying my neck of the woods. I grew up fishing in Hammond Oregon ( Ft Stevens) and my mother lives in Garabldi just up the road from the Tillimook cheese factory. Really enjoy your travels. Glad you guys enjoyed Oregon. Hope to meet you guys one day on the road. P.S. it’s pronounced Ska-Jet. (Skagit). lol. Safe travels
Ha ha! Two of us ran in the rain one night and were definitely wetter than the two that walked and that was way before Myth Busters did that test. Myth Busters could have just asked us... and now I want Tillamook ice cream!
We do have a lot of rain in Oregon BUT it gives us beautiful forests, green lawns , deep rivers , snow on the Mountains and it’s only water so put on your rain boots and go splash in the puddles !❤️
You can get Tillamook ice cream and cheese at Wegmans on the East coast...though, I would imagine it's like getting Hershey's on the West Coast (IYKYK)
It is like me, I am from KY, we get snow, I am used to driving in snow. Dallas, TX not so much. So I am in Dallas in my F-250, 4x4, doing 60 down the interstate 10 in 1” of snow. People lose their minds, blowing their horns, giving me the finger. Me, laughing giving it right back. Sign on the back, “If ya lived further North, you will understand”
I always say if you live in Oregon and you let the rain bug you then you would never do anything and you just get use to it and march on with what you want to do.
Great adventure. I think I’m on to something, Nathan start a file with JJ Shoes Adventures and in a year do a short video on JJ and his shoes. I love the over the bridge shoe and then you find his shoes as your walking along. I know there is going to be more. I feel it. ❤❤❤❤
There's a 26 mile beach just across the river, Long Beach, Washington,, where we have a small cabin. Even us natives will come visit Ft. Stevens as well as the Lewis & Clark Memorial only a few miles away,
Born and raised in western Washington means if you make plans you follow thru rain or shine. If we stopped every time it rained we would never do anything
Multnomah Falls is an hour away from my home, it is very beautiful have been there a few times. Good luck on your journeys. I will continue to follow. as to the weather, if yall were here 2 weeks ago it ranged between 80 to 95 degrees. yall just missed the hot weather.
The Tillamook Creamery is really nice now compared to the old one...Sure gets packed nowadays though, especially at lunchtime...Up from home in the Bay Area, we stay while visiting the son not to far from there in Garibaldi at the Harborview Inn Rv park...We do alot of casino camping in Oregon , actually the whole Hwy 101 corridor even down into Calif...We also love the Oregon state parks up and down the coast and often stay at Harris Beach state park in Brookings when visiting the father in law in Crescent City...Our favorite state park is in Charleston/Coos Bay called Sunset Bay state park...So nice there....Isnt Multnomah Falls kewl ??? Travel safe , all be well...
When you're a Oregonian and it rains, you put your hood on and go. Rain doesn't keep us inside if we want to go somewhere. 😊
You bet. We're with you!
Yep, here in Oregon a little rain never hurts……it keeps us green.
Rain or shine, camping - hiking - kayaking - perfect for fishing - put your hood on (no umbrella) and your Teva’s and just go.

We say the same thing, here in London. We have a lot of rain living on a small island..

Keep it cheesy! We should have grabbed that one too! Sounds like you've had some amazing adventures!
I love how so smart Hensley is .. a lot smarter than some kids in a school ... so beyond beautiful landscapes !!!!!!!
Thank you, She truly has a love of the ocean and it's creatures
You all may be the best RV vloggers ever because you all are so genuine and so real. Also I love Nathan and his dad jokes.
Aww thank you! He is a funny guy. One of the reasons I fell in love with him ❤️
We live in Oregon, we visit the Oregon state parks several times a year. Happy to see you did a video for these beautiful parks. We enjoy them all 12 months in our RV, Rain or shine it is great every trip. Hope you and your family enjoyed your trip in our beautiful state. Happy Camping!
I forgot to mention you missed the Pronto Pup, they invented the Corn Dog we all know and love.
It is so amazing to have these parks all year round. It's a real treat

I love Nathan's bad dad jokes & I love donut dance girl rolling her eyes! You made me LOL Hensley! Love Oregon! It's a beautiful state!
We are so glad you enjoyed the video! Nathan definitely is a character and Hensley knows how to work him 😂
We’ve lived in Oregon for 25 years after coming from the Midwest. The rain was an adjustment but it’s such a lovely and varied state and so much to see. Hiking to the top of Multnomah Falls is definitely an adventure. Loved seeing your reactions to our beautiful state!
Amazing! You said lived, where have you headed off to now?
Oregon is the best place to be regarding the coast. We go to the beach to watch the storms it is so soothing.
That would be amazing!
If you don’t go out in the rain, you don’t go out🌧️ The rain makes everything Beautiful in Oregon🌧️
True!
It's incredible the education your children are getting!
They really have learned so much

You can't let the rain stop you. Enjoy the beauty it brings. Journey on from buck's blog
We agree, the rain only adds to the beauty!

I had friend who grew up in CT , he lived in NC for a while and he amused and befuddled that when they got a tiny bit of snow everything closed down everything , Here in New England you gotta keep on going , leave a bit earlier or you will be late but you will be there
It's the same for most of TN too, they shut down. Mostly because they don't have the infrastructure to keep people safe. (sanding, plows, etc)
I guess it's like those in the north who still go outside in minus crazy temps
Hey it is. Rain doesn’t stop us local from doing what we want to do
I can see that! Just keep enjoying the beauty 😍
There are so many beautiful places to explore in Oregon. Silver Falls State Park is amazing!
We'll add that to the list for next time
Yes it’s normal!!! I’m from the PNW and when tillamook ice cream was available in Tennessee where I now live, I was so happy!
I was so excited when it came to TN too!
I guess we were lucky to have been on cannon beach this last June and it did not Rain on us...that in itself is a first! great to see how the kids have grown! Blessings guys!
What a bonus!! It's beautiful either way
We stayed in Long Beach, WA and were in Astoria and down the coast catching all the spots you showed in this video back in May 2024. We live east of Tacoma, WA, so try to do this trip every so often. The coast is beautiful! When we were there, it was sunny, but we also got rain.
It really is so beautiful, rain or shine!
Just gotta roll with it - hairstyles and all 👏
When you walked down to Cannon Beach … that was our wedding isle. We were married in front of the rocks on the beach 😍 so beautiful
Oh wow, that’s a perfect spot to get married. Congratulations!
Incredible views, yes, Oregon has it all, BUT I could never get used to ALL the daily rain. A wonderful place to visit, but It would not be on my want to live there list. THANK YOU for sharing your journey !
Thank you for coming along with us. It's so beautiful to visit, but I'm such a sun person too.
Super vlog thanks for sharing. Hensley is so smart, your children are learning so much. Haystack Rock fantastic 👍❤️🇬🇧.
Oh thank you! And thank you for coming along on our journey with us
Lots of cool stuff going on there, especially the ship wreck. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hug for me.
Thank you, and we will!
It’s worth going all the way to the top!
We will have to next time
Yep, rain or shine you do your thing. It's just water. Welcome to life at the Oregon Coast.
Just keep going!
It is buried and sometimes when giant winter storms come in and take several feet of sand out to sea a bunch more gets exposed. Gold Beach is the place on the Oregon Coast for sunshine it gets more sunny days than any coastal area from San Fransico to Vancouver Canada
I bet that would be amazing to see where it was a decade ago vs now with all the landscape changes
Great video. Never been to The Pacific Northwest. Looks beautiful.
Might be time to add it to your Journey List!
hello guys I used to live in Oregon. what an incredible place. I remember when I went to cannon beach.. that year it got up to 103 degrees in the Portland area. and as I got closer to cannon beach, it was so much cooler. it was like a natural air conditioner. so cool. have fun. and thanks for flushing out a Memorie that I forgot👍
So amazing what the beach breeze can do
Epic stops added for when we head west. This Nanna would send journals for Hensley & another pair of Crocs for JJ ~ Wanda & Vinnie, Charleston SC
Awww! But yes, please do visit these places, they're pretty amazing
Good video. Thank you. Blessings
Thank you for coming along
I have pictures of the ship wreck from 1980 and then again in 2023, has changed a lot. But love going.
Oh wow! I can imagine how different it's change over 40+yrs
I've camped at Fort Stevens dozens of times. It has only been drive for a 5 day stretch like 2 times. Many of my trips have been nothing but rain.
I hope you still enjoyed your time even while it rained.
Beautiful parts of Oregon, even in the rain. Hensley may become a marine biologist!
At this rate, she just might!
At one time Fort Stevens campground during the summer was the 5th largest city in the state of Oregon.
Oh wow! That’s a cool fact!
Sounds like you had quite the adventures and made memories along the way. Definitely all part of the journey.
Oregon has two seasons: Wet and dry. The wet season is from September through June, and the dry season is July and August.
There is a reason many of the outdoor rain gear is made in the Pacific Northwest!😁
You made it to some epoch places in Oregon.
I'm always down to see more places where movies were filmed!
we hiked Larch Mtn down. We were the only ones on the trail at the top...and by the time we made it to the brink....it was busy.
Luv us some Multnomah Falls
That sounds like a blast! It really is a beautiful place
I hope you get a chance to go down the Oregon coast Brookings Oregon. The entire trip is so beautiful!
We will have to keep that on our Journey List
Cannon Beach is a favorite of mine as well. Columbia Gorge and the waterfalls are so beautiful! I haven’t seen the remains of the ship, that’s incredible!! Cannon beach has other parking.
It really is so stunning
One of my best friends lives in Oregon. Many very beautiful waterfalls in that state. I like that one but there are some much larger.
Thanks for the video. Good to see you guys again. I know there is 12 or more Beautiful waterfalls in Oregon.
You’re right, Oregon is full of amazing waterfalls!
I get our inspiration from you guys and your travels. Thank you!
Oh thank you! And thank you for coming along on our journey
My same site I had at Ft Steven's in March. Too fun, and it is awesome park.
That is such a great location!
HI NATHAN MARISSA HENSLEY JJ 👋
REALLY GORGEOUS SCENERY, PLACES TO VISIT , LOVE THE HISTORY ❤JUST NEED SOAP WITH ALL THE RAINY WEATHER 🌧 BE SAFE ☺️ 🙏 KEEP HAVING FUN ☺️ 🙏ENJOYED ☺️ 🙏GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 😊 🙏THANK YOU ☺️ 🙏 LIVING THROUGH YOUR ADVENTURES ☺️ 🙏
We appreciate you coming along!
During El Nino, 26 years ago more of the ship was uncovered than had been seen in years. Most of it is under the sand. My daughter is 28 and had a last playing in it when she was 2. Nancy.
That would have been incredible to see!
I can't believe how busy the Tillamook Cheese factory and Multnomah Falls are these days!!!! I grew up in that area but haven't been in several years.
I guess people really love their cheese and ice cream!
Astoria is one of the coolest little towns. We’ve been there several times & always stayed at Ft Stevens, an awesome SP. Then it’s a choice going up the Columbia or down the coast, either one is epic.
Just so beautiful!
Those condos behind you at cannon beach used to be cabins and bunkhouses. When we were kids my mom would rent a cabin and a bunkhouse and we would stay for a week at spring break
We would just run wild. Behind haystack rock there are caves. We would play in when the tide was all the way out. So many fond memories
Wow! What incredible memories to have
A little Oregon liquid sunshine! It makes things more fun!
Liquid sunshine, loving that saying
Multnomah falls is awesome! One of my favorite waterfalls.
So beautiful!
depending on time of year and tides, more of the ship get exposed due to sand movement, a year or so ago most of it that is left was visible
That would be so amazing to see the difference in person
Live in WA,
Have been to all of them multiple times.
Tillamook cheese & ice cream is available at almost all grocery stores in WA & OR..
No need to go to the factory.
It was fun to explore and see how it's made - plus a good excuse for the dad jokes
Thanks so much! We had a blast exploring your neck of the woods!
Great, great video! Thank you all!
Thank you for coming along
Marionberry Pie Ice Cream - the BEST!!!
It was so good!
if your at west long beach light house coast guarded station were the coast guards train the bar ocean and river water
Thank you!
So peaceful and so beautiful
so stunning!
You are in my home state! Oh my gosh, it’s so beautiful
We were blown away by how diverse and stunning it is.
Ha ha! Two of us ran in the rain one night and were definitely wetter than the two that walked and that was way before Myth Busters did that test. Myth Busters could have just asked us... and now I want Tillamook ice cream!
You're the original MythBusters - or science-provers? Such an interesting experiment - and now you deserve some Ice Cream!
I’ve been to fort stevens many, many times in my life…somehow have never seen the shipwreck other than in pictures. 😜
Oh goodness! Time to go visit!
We do have a lot of rain in Oregon BUT it gives us beautiful forests, green lawns , deep rivers , snow on the Mountains and it’s only water so put on your rain boots and go splash in the puddles !❤️
True, can't have it all - especially if you want green!
You can get Tillamook ice cream and cheese at Wegmans on the East coast...though, I would imagine it's like getting Hershey's on the West Coast (IYKYK)
You are absolutely right! But, there is just something about enjoying it in Oregon.
Fort Stevens is our favorite park!!
It was so fun!
Hensley's reaction to all the dad jokes..lol
She's so used to Nathan and his sillies, that she's even got some great puns too.
Oh goodness! It's true, you get accustomed to life where you live that it's the norm... which might not be the norm for others.
You utterly did everything at Tilamook. 😅
oooooh... that's a good one! 🐄
I always say if you live in Oregon and you let the rain bug you then you would never do anything and you just get use to it and march on with what you want to do.
Exactly! Just get out and go!
Great adventure. I think I’m on to something, Nathan start a file with JJ Shoes Adventures and in a year do a short video on JJ and his shoes. I love the over the bridge shoe and then you find his shoes as your walking along. I know there is going to be more. I feel it. ❤❤❤❤
You’re onto something! We’ll have to do a JJ Shoes Adventure series!
Favorites of ours. We live camp hosting at Ft Stevens. Nice video
Such a great park!
True Oregonians go out in any weather. Lol if we didn’t we would never go out. That’s why we wear flip flops are feet dry faster.
Good tip!
There's a 26 mile beach just across the river, Long Beach, Washington,, where we have a small cabin. Even us natives will come visit Ft. Stevens as well as the Lewis & Clark Memorial only a few miles away,
That's so amazing!
YES I USED TO LIVE IN CAYUCOS AND MORRO BAY
So amazing there
WHEN I LIVED IN CAYUCOS THE SURFERS WERE OUT SURFING KYACKERS WERE OUT 2-3 MILES FROM SHORE FISHING ALL DAY IN THE RAIN
So incredible - just keep going
Downtown Canon Beach, in an RV? You are brave!
Haha it was a little tight, but worth it!
Born and raised in western Washington means if you make plans you follow thru rain or shine. If we stopped every time it rained we would never do anything
That's so good to know! I guess it's like floridians, if it didn't rain every afternoon, they would never get anything done...
Multnomah Falls is an hour away from my home, it is very beautiful have been there a few times. Good luck on your journeys. I will continue to follow. as to the weather, if yall were here 2 weeks ago it ranged between 80 to 95 degrees. yall just missed the hot weather.
Thank you! It's be a fun adventure in the PNW
Hensley sounds like a road schooled kid: highly intelligent. 👍
She's so incredible! Thank you ☺️
The Tillamook Creamery is really nice now compared to the old one...Sure gets packed nowadays though, especially at lunchtime...Up from home in the Bay Area, we stay while visiting the son not to far from there in Garibaldi at the Harborview Inn Rv park...We do alot of casino camping in Oregon , actually the whole Hwy 101 corridor even down into Calif...We also love the Oregon state parks up and down the coast and often stay at Harris Beach state park in Brookings when visiting the father in law in Crescent City...Our favorite state park is in Charleston/Coos Bay called Sunset Bay state park...So nice there....Isnt Multnomah Falls kewl ??? Travel safe , all be well...
It was all just so amazing
In the northwest, if you’re gonna wait for the rain to stop to do stuff…you’re gonna wait months lol so people just do it in the rain
haha! Glad we didn't wait!
