I have lived in Mira .. no other community in Dubai can beat it .Arabian ranches may offer some competition because the villas there are bigger but Mira is more family friendly with pools ,sports courts,Town center as well as reasonable rents.
I haven't been inside the community but I trust emaar to make it very nice once it's fully developed. The quality of the finishing is not very good so you will need to change a lot of things in the long term, but their price is very reasonable so it's still a good buy.
