Nice looking tractors. The 4000 is actually pretty common here in the west. They were used a lot in the orchards. I have run several over the years and they are very solid runners.
Those 4000’s were built in Highland Park, Michigan (about 2 hours from here). Failure- what about that Super Major? Those are rare birds out this way!!
@@reppfarms4493 LOL. That was actually the first thing I thought of when I saw it 😂😂 Pretty accurate representation I would say. There’s a strong possibility that you are doing it better though 😂
@@reppfarms4493 I think there are a few around here but I haven’t seen one recently. I remember my dad talking about them way back in the day. I think our neighbor had one when I was growing up.
No, I checked the fluids - they were ok and I didn’t want swap fluids until I got home. Charged the battery overnight, put in some fresh diesel in, and cranked it twice to get the oil flowing. Third crank it fired…
Brilliant find well done can't wait to see them working 👏
I have some work to do on the Major- excessive smoking. Any ideas what could be causing it?
@@reppfarms4493 a good hard drive or put it on a plough before you go ripping
Those are some great finds, nice tractors.
The old gent that had them was a machinist, but a farm boy at heart. Mechanically they are very sound (just dirty!!)
Total barn finds! This is great!
Thanks to you G! I truly appreciate it!! They are great tractors!!

@@FailureatRetirement I doubt it my friend!!!
Love a good barn find! Did you have to drain out the old fuel before it would start?
