You have no idea how much I needed this. After coming out of a false religion (Mormonism) I have been SO afraid of being deceived by my feelings, that I have not allowed myself to feel and have become numb. It’s horrible. Thank you for this wisdom.
The mature, imperfect Christian should deeply feel emotions...and yet make important choices based not upon those emotions but rather wisdom. That daily struggle is the normal Christian life.
In accordance with this word and proverbs 25:28, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I bind one not to act out nor repress one's emotions but rather accept them consciously in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ, while binding myself not to be unequally yoked with and have any common share with those acting out or repressing one's emotions without accepting them consciously, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

Thanks for the reminder that this is the NORMAL Christian life. This is our life in Christ. Being in constant discernment.
