Hi from New Zealand. Thank you for this video. I've been doing a Creative Arts certificate course to pathway to doing degree in computer graphics design next year. I really enjoy my graphics class and love illustrator a lot. My 2 key areas I need to improve on are layers and pen tool use and your 2 videos I've watched are so simple and excellent. I'm working on a 2D art assignment for Principles of Design but I have all my workings on one layer. Is it possible to set up groups of layers hidden and other layers turned on? I need to export PDFs of different sets of groups turned off so that I'm only viewing certain groups of layers. I want to make this as easy as possible. For example, a drawing of a face. I might need a separate PDF of just the eyes, a different PDF of the nose, one for the hair, one for the lips. These things might have multiple layers and groups that would need to be hidden, while others remain turned on. Thanks.
Jason, thanks for your quick reply. That's not exactly what I mean. I want to create a "preset" where for instance, layers 2, 5, and 7 are visible and the rest are hidden, then another preset where only 3,4, and 6 are visible.
This is to expedite exporting to PDF. Actually, I would like to create a script that does this with one command.
