Oh my goodness, how scary! I am glad that Birdcall is okay. I am glad that you were hiking nearby to help him. I think that is why a tramily is so important so that all can be a support to one another. You are amazing and doing wonderful with miles, but please be careful in the heat and don't overdo it. Make sure you always have enough water.
Awe, glad he’s ok. I’m still sporting a black eye from July 4th weekend. Too hot, battling mosquitoes in the Sierra, couldn’t trek as fast due to heat , backpacking out ink the dark with a headlamp on top of a bug net in the dust. Well, I tripped. For awhile I was like a turtle on its back with my packed strapped to me.😊
Amazing hike in that heat, it's really tough. I did 14 miles on a trail outside Tucson in 106 and it beat me up, took about three hours of shade and water to recover. Or will be interesting to see your decisions on handling the few current fire closures.
... Glad to hear you're OK Birdcall ,, That's what happens when you are checking out the "Wild Flowers" .... Huh, did you slip on a loose rock .. or did Bossbae throw it at you ?? Hmmm ..
The heat!!! Wowza so dang hot. Be safe out there. I’m sitting in my basement with no air conditioner and it is only 86 degrees here in Northeast MN. Kudos!!!! Hope Birdcall is all right!
Morning, Juliane. Ya'll are truly bad ass. How you can hike 24 miles in 103F, I don't know. Ya'll be careful out there in that heat. Glad Birdcall's injury wasn't too severe. Heads and faces bleed like crazy. Glad you were able to get to the 2nd water cache. Is there another one before you get to Burney? Glad ya'll are getting an earlier start tomorrow. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
I don't see how you guys can hike in that heat. Blows my little ole mind! Also, when we saw the little rock that put BC down, can you imagine how many similar rocks you folks have walked past? It's amazing you ever get to your destination.
I would caution against specifically identifying where you are and when. There are people who like to stalk YT hikers. Most do not share this information and intentionally create the lag so that their location cannot be identified.
I guess you already know by now that the Etna fire is raging and the trail is closed for nearly 30 miles with only vehicle transport service around the area. You can't road walk it.
They couldn't road walk around the Middle Fork San Joaquin River bridge closure either, but they did it anyway, with no problem. I'm confident they will find away around the fire closure too.
I’ve seen a few times where you’re on the trail and you have to go through a gate if you have a moment or think of it could you please tell us the reason for the gates
... Looked like a filling lunch ,, What ,, is this NOT REAL LIFE ?? ... Or are we watching "AI" .. ?? .. If needed carry an extra water bladder ... don't want heat stroke or hydration problems ,, easy to happen at higher altitudes ... .. Don't want to see you melt ...

OMG head injuries are no joke! Scalp lacs always bleed so much more for some reason than they need to! So glad you were close by to help Birdcall ❤

Glad Birdcall was OK. Happy you are keeping up on the water in the awful heat. Can't wait to see your birthday celebration tomorrow.

Owww! Sorry to hear this, hope you're healing quickly and no further trauma from the head bash.

Glad Birdcall is ok and that you were close by. I sent $50 to Jim for the water cache, thanks Jim!
Good idea!
Super cool to go back and help that guy
Loving your energy, Juliane!

The heat sucks, but that really is a beautiful part of the trail in its own way. And glad Birdcall is ok!
Wow what a scary time and glad he’s doing okay. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
Glad birdcage was fine! You all are a great tramily.

Glad Birdcall seems ok.. laceration looks clean, which is good. I am also fan of mushroom and swiss burgers.

Wow glad Birdcall was okay😮stay safe.
Glad Birdcall is OK. Becareful out there in the heat. Nice water cache. Hike~~On~~>
You missed out on the cave. It’s a really cool volcanic tube and very large.
"heat wavin kind of environment" ❤
Birdcall frightened me. Everyone should carry the tiny butterfly bandaids. 😮😮
Gorilla tape...
I think the closure now starts at Dunsmuir. It's the Shelly fire.
A mishap can happen so fast and unexpectedly. You had some good improvised trail nurses fix you up
91ºF = 33ºC - fierce first thing.
Mushroom Swiss is my favorite as well..
9:46 It’s too bad you didn't go to the Subway Cave. It's always crowded, but probably not as crowded as that restaurant was.
no idea how you like in that temp with no shade, what is the humidity?
Watch for bears/ keep cameras handy next several days/ the rest hike through california.

Yes , I work with a you tuber and I never comment on that you tubers regular work to protect privacy. There are creeps out there.
I can't tell you how many times I've walked off and left sunglasses sitting on a log And didn't realize it for 5 or 10 miles
Happy birthday
Bird Call looks like Paul Rudd now
Holy batshit the gas prices are insane
Come to Scotland...... Did anyone notice the price down in Kennedy Meadows (S) >$7
Hope bird call is ok. That heat and hiking in it I would pass out 🤦♂️
I wanted to ask what type of sleeping system you’re using?

BUSH WACK, LETS GO
@@libraryfiles4470 Dream on. Bypass. 😄
@@libraryfiles4470 There is no need to bushwhack. There are parallel trails, but the Forest Service has most of those locked down too.
They couldn't road walk around the Middle Fork San Joaquin River bridge closure either, but they did it anyway, with no problem. I'm confident they will find away around the fire closure too.
@@MaxZomboni that one was not closed by police and fire fighters trying to fight the blazes for 10 days now. Read the PCTA notice.

Fencing for grazing cattle - gate allows hikers to pass thru.
Where’s BOUJEE BOY? He’s playing hide and seek. LETS GO!
Your future career--EMT.🤣
I know you are amazing but please be careful.
Seems like bougie don't like you. Why he be always running away.

Why are you talking with a bad Texan accent?
Welcome to my channel. You must be new 🤗🤗🤗
ANOTHER COCA COLA WITH A DELICIOUS SWISHH w MOOOSHROMS BURGER - YES 👌 🤙 👍
THERE IS NO NUTRITION AFTER YOU DRINK A COCA COLA 🤣 😅 😂🙃 🤣 😂
Why are you yelling at RR? If you want to degrade her, you could at least be civil and is an indoor voice.
I’m glad Bird Call is ok. And I’m hoping that at the next available opportunity that he gets a new sun hoody!
