1: He threatened someone with a gun, that's why the cops were called. 2: He was on probation, he could not legally own a gun. 3: He resisted arrest, pushing the officers towards violence. He was tazed, he still fought back. He was then tackled, I can't say for certainty but it did look like he reached the his pocket containing the gun. Knowing that he was armed And there were other people present that could potentially be harmed, at this point I believe lethal force was authorized. We still don't have all the facts right now, so we should not draw any conclusions just yet.

When you look for the perpetrators of mass enslavements, genocides and mass murders that have taken place in societies down through the ages, you need look no further than to whoever was following the orders in that society. However, we have to start holding accountable not only the bad apples, but also all the supposed good ones. The corruption in both the police and military runs deep and is systemic. I'm really getting tired of hearing about all the supposed good cops that exist, I really am. If there were good police then we would hear about them and see videos of them coming to the defense of innocent people when a bad cop is either choking, beating, tazing or shooting them. Regardless, he wasn't executed. He resisted arrest, was carrying an illegal firearm, and continued to struggle against the police even after being pinned to the ground and repeatedly told not to move. He is at quite a bit of fault in this situation, and anyone who acts like he was just minding his own business, selling CD's, before being "executed" is a "stupid fuck".

Shani brings up an excellent point about how cops will ask someone "what's in your pocket?" and then if that person says "What these? These are just my keys." and attempts to reach for said keys (or any "non-weapon") the police will say "don't go reaching" and potentially become overly aggressive.
I believe that could very well likely be, exactly what happened in Philando Castile's case. His girlfriend actually alleges that the cop gave him a verbal command to get his license and/or registration and insurance and when he went to do so he was shot multiple times and died.
What the heck is wrong these days!!!!!? How can all of this happen? I just can't cry enough for the sadness of these families.

Even worse, I personally got to read the police report and evidence analysis because a good friend of mine was working this case and from what they've seen so far, the officer that shot him shot 3 times and then had a brief pause and then proceeded with 3 more shots so that is the distinguishing thing for me between police acting in a split second decision and acting poorly, and it being a police brutality and racism mind stated decision. Police get a 911 call concerning Sterling threatening a man with a gun, Police arrive and see Sterling, tell him to stop and show his hands, they walk up to question him and he begins to get aggressive, after a quick altercation they back off, taze and tackle him. As they attempting to handcuff him he reaches to his pocket and one of the officers sees a gun (hence them yelling "gun" in the video) as he tries to draw the gun on the cops, and he gets shot, as many times as it took to stop him. Those are the facts, knowing this, it boggles my mind how anyone can side with Sterling

I don't live in the U.S but I've learned two things while reading on RUclips comments regarding this incident:
1. A felon cannot carry a gun, 2. Somebody called the cops on Alton because he pointed a gun at the complainant.

They are not going call out bad cops there just along for ride. The problem is slavery was never abolished and some black and white dont know it. Which why people think things like this are not suppose to take place.

Sad to say but the Alton Sterling Killing will go no where because we have seen these before with far more evidence and the status qua does not even get challenged. I really wish every community would push harder one the Philando Castile killing and keep the divisive rhetoric down. This case has some strong merit, and I mean really strong merit. By default the State has identified what a law abiding citizen is with the CCW permit. This can be used against the officer in a very tangible way, then you combine that with what this guy was actually like as an individual. The things that are surfacing about him are heartbreaking and it is the people it is coming from that matter. This is not some guy who just robbed a store, was running from cops, committing a crime, or mysteriously died in police custody. In poker terms this is the equivalent of holding 4 aces.
This officer is going to have a real hard time explaining his perceived danger!

+Grant Le Bon he never threatened the cops bro js and if he wasnt complying they didnt have to take his life and put four shots in this man's chest the first shot should have been enough if he really did do wrong and its suspicious how both bodycams just dangled off and the store owner had his footage even though they had no reason? just think about it and research more and dont say he was a felon amd bring up his past because the police would have had no way of knowing at the moment and scene of the death for all they knew he would have been.legally carrying that gun and alton flashed it to that guy because he wouldnt leave him alone furthermore gain more knowledge and stop jumping to conclusions

This made me cry. This is a DAMN shame. "Land of the Free"? "Home of the Brave"? Please. My people have been in chains since we got here. cops show up to a report of a guy flashing a gun they find a convicted felon with a pistol in his pocket. taze him twice tell him to get in the ground guys refuses and reaches into the pocket where the gun is found. what's outrageous about this?
A police's job is not to hand out death sentences to people.
