This officer is saying "if I can't subdue him" but the thing about that is alton sterling was already subdued. If you have actually seen the video you would see that Alton was already on the ground and couldn't even struggle if he wanted to and still got shot after being subdued by two officers. No one is disagreeing with IF Sterling was truly reaching for his gun, then yes he should've been stopped and if being shot was the only way to do it, then fine. However, Sterling didn't need to be shot six times in the damn chest!
And another thing! The video and the picture that I saw clearly showed BOTH of Sterling's arms were pinned down under the cop's knees and before they were pinned down they were up in a serenader position. He never APPEARS to be reaching for anything and it looks as if he never had the opportunity. So you mean to tell me that during that entire struggle, the other cop with his gun in hand couldn't have gone into that man's pocket and removed his gun when Sterling's owns hands weren't even free? That makes no sense to me!
