I think that trowel is for incredible hulk itself to use a 10 inch whs broad heel wooden handle lovely lol might aswell use a shovel We use to call those trowels wrist breakers u sound a young man won't remember we use to wear marigold gloves and donkey jacket good ole days carry on good work sir
my 9inch trowel is probably 8inch now after using it for 3 years and the shape changing but i find it's best for me. can still get as much mud on possible for laying beds above my head and if i keep it clean it's light as a feather
I use 11 1/2in trowel to lay block but there's a video on RUclips of an older guy laying 8in block with a 13in trowel and he uses it perfectly he doesn't over load it just enough to get a nice long spread when he's spreading the front and back of the bed and just enough to get a full perp joint on the both sides of the block with one trowel full he doesn't use it like a shovel
Same as the muppets in my trade swinging giant waffle head hammers. 18oz long shaft is all ya need fellow chippies. Don’t tell me you can bang a 6” nail in faster than me coz that’s bollocks. 😂
13 inch trowels only have any use in Australia where the muck is like piss, no point otherwise. Philadelphia pattern is for shell facing hollow blocks not for Bwk but if it works it works, London pattern for bricks. I had a 13 inch London pattern Rose years ago and could spread a bed for 4.5 bricks with it but no quicker really.
From watching the Aussie videos 12 inch trowels seems to be the standard size trowel over there . 13 inch trowels are ok for laying cavity blocks but your not fully loading the trowel when laying them.
Look at me big spade laying 2000 a day no profiles though because I'm triple hard and I want more money but others are smashing em in at 4000-5000 a day I can't keep up because I don't use profiles 💪😎
He was a big one…. A big one that’s going in the bin. Where all big trowels belong 😂
Cut the fella down get a pick in dipper for blocks on flat lol
London pattern big isnt too bad , the philly one though is too wide , especially if your mostly on brickwork
@@nathanbowley254
If narrow london
😂
Absolutely brilliant 😂👍👌
Have always used 13 in trowel like it for brick and block. After you get accustomed to it nothing else is satisfactory to me. Been using it 30 years
OMG the traditional impression was spot on 😂😂😂😂😂

"Lets get this muck used up and fuck off" lolllll
“Needs to go in the been” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love you
What that black block made of?
Why the problem with the big trowel? Long wall like that is perfect.

What trowel is that small one pal
So satisfying 😂
the only bloke that will love that horror of a trowel will be your physio therapist.
It takes the muscle development and finesse with big trowels. used 12 most my career. Boss tried buying me a 9 inch and it just stays in my extra bag
Need a scaffold each side of wall building like that
🔥
What’s everyone get for a 440 x 300 x 100 mm concrete trench block per m2
Mate one point you are always faster with profiles not a debate the fact that some people are fast than guy using by building a corner is also true
Don’t help that it’s a marshalltown 😂
The traditional bricklayer impression 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What happened to this race or competition between you and the traditional bricklayer I was looking forward to that😅
I’d race him for a laugh any day

No lasers back then .Just proper Tradesmen .
Said he wasn't paying for the mud so let's get rid of it on the ground
I like it. Having a laugh whilst getting the job. David Brent. Do some more impersonation 😂😂
Hi Charlie, where do you get them metal spring loaded line clamps from ? Warrington bricky 👍

Geez I'm a self employed plumber n brick laying is boring as fuck ngl but I love ur video for some mad reason 🤣🤣😂
Those worn down to about 6 inches are ideal for stonework ,Will take about 20 years to do it though

Some sites make you
Never used above an 11 I don’t know how people use 12 or 13 inch everyday no wonder they have elbow and wrist problems
Get the spoon back Charlie and move faster lol
I’ll get it out sometime 😊
Why is Dean always on about corners, he even said the bricklayers he worked with couldn't build them..great impression, but he is a good guy.
A tradional bricklayer wouldn’t use a level until atleast the 15th course, gotta train your eye charlie 😂😂gauge, square, level and plumb
10.5 inch wide london is my go to. I wouldn't go bigger than that.
Fackin shovel that charl 😂
Same as the muppets in my trade swinging giant waffle head hammers. 18oz long shaft is all ya need fellow chippies. Don’t tell me you can bang a 6” nail in faster than me coz that’s bollocks. 😂
Don't worry it'll only hurt for the first 4 inches 😉
Ya that's what they all say 🤣
goerge my muck haha my muck

There was a big trend in this in the late 90s I use to work for a subbi then and everyone was getting 12 inch blades , I use to laugh at it.

You look abit like Ben shepherd of tipping point
Fair old weapon lol
Oh ya Very Sharp
That muck looks luvley the sand at current job hasn’t been covered for a month or so it’s no longer nice
Charlie ur not a Samarui .
U could use that trowel to dig foundations jeezo lad, and remember your corners son never forget your corners 🤣🤣
That's wot dean said
More like empty a spot in 5 seconds or less 🤣🤣
Dunno about anyone else but a woman who can pull of sexual innuendos and still stay sweet is 😘

Frying pan
Waste much muck😂😂
Rough and sloppy
I used to have a boss that used a 13in trowel. He was sloppy hog of a bricklayer. I would use my 9 and lay just as many as him and was a lot cleaner.
13" definitely compensation for something 😄🤏
