So long as the cop can throw his weight around! It's interesting how none of Vidler's brethren tried to put him back on his leash -- maybe he should sue them for not stopping him from openly pursuing his vendetta!

Where is the obstruction charge? Obstructing an officer when determining if a person is impersonating a cop in costume, bike, weapon and attitude. I almost never want the person to be shot or killed, but this comes close to an exception. But it is Florida, where you can chase someone, attack them, and murder them while claiming "fear for your life". Then you wont even be convicted of that "crime". (Still sorry Trayvon.)
This was basically an I.Q. test for the cop. Knowing his camera is on and starting out the detainment by stating it is because the suspect is openly carrying a firearm, then a minute later, literally changes it to "concealed" and says "shut up Jeremy" which proves he knew who he was dealing with all along. I pulled you over for the weapon I can see & now am arresting you because it was concealed & I couldn't see it. What!?!?
That cop let his hatred ruin his career.
It's interesting how Florida law considers an "electric weapon", ie. taser the same as a firearm when the general public has one but it's considered "less than lethal" when they indiscriminately use one on us. Logical thought would be that if they are legally classed as the same weapon for us, cops would have to meet the same deadly force threshold to use a tazer on us as a firearm. The double standard is real.
Blame the courts and their use of bullshit immunities.
Excellent point!
It also makes any felon (shit that really shouldn't be) unable to have ANYTHING to defend themselves.
@@Apollo-Computers Plenty of felons can get their right to self defense back. There's lengthy videos on here that show how.
But it is a process.
The reasoning I've heard in the past is because using it on a police officer gives one access to a fire arm if the officer is disabled, so the courts lump that in for the threat of deadly force. Similarly, if a civilian used a taser against another civilian, it would not be deadly force, only when used against an officer.

Filing your lawsuit on April fools day is legendary
In Germany, openly carrying even a fake firearm that looks like a real one ("Anscheinswaffe", roughly translates as "apparent weapon") is illegal. Precisely because it will cause fear and concern among other people and likely cause police calls that would end up being a waste of time for the officers.
Obvious fake firearms like nerf guns or other toy guns for children with an orange ring on their tip are not illegal to carry. If you want to transport such an "apparent weapon" with you, you have to have it in a sealed container, which is the same requirement for transporting real firearms.
That makes a lot of sense but you have to remember that gun culture in Europe and in the US are very different from another. I think both make sense and can work in the real world but as of right now only Europe does a good job at handling guns well

The GOAT of impersonating an officer
He gets let go after a 2 hour interrogation and charges dropped, but who pays for the impounded bike? I know this guy is PoS but what is it happened to you? You get have down in the ground, lose half a day in custody, and have to pay for your bike to get out of the pound. Straight BS. If you get a vehicle impounded and then the arrest is voided, the police should have to pay for the impounded vehicle immediately, and that goes for getting charges dismissed in court, you should immediately get cut a check for any fees incurred by the bad arrest..
Not only do you not get reimbursed but you then also have to pay an attorney $1200 - $2000 to get that bogus arrest expunged. But you can only do that once in your life so don't waste it on some lesser charge. Wait for a sizable felony, first. Also, you often have to wait ten years before you are eligible to expunge it, depending upon a rather convoluted & confusing set of guidelines to follow. Yeah Florida is fvcked.
He claimed he was stopping him for "open" carrying, but arresting him for "concealed" carrying and that didn't ring any bells about inconsistency in the officers head? The stop is only legal if the weapon was OPEN carried, if the officer is now claiming it as being CONCEALED, the stop becomes invalid and invalidates everything the cop is doing after that.
When you lie as much as they do on a daily basis, I think their brain can no longer tell the difference between lies and truth.
Jeremy was yelling about a e-mail, that’s important because it was this cop who told Jeremy he could carry it legally. Cop set him up, he forgot about the text between him and Jeremy.😂

Jeremy Dewitt is the best example of a bad person receiving bad luck. He did bad things that he recorded himself. When the police caught up with him, they seized his cameras, and eventually a FOIA request resulted in his own footage being put all over the internet. The bad luck was that it was released right in the middle of the pandemic, so even more internet eyes saw his footage than would have at any other time.
The worst part is that Jeremy Dewitt very likely would have become a police officer, if he had only paid for a fill up at a gas station. He gassed up his car, but forgot his wallet, so he flashed some kind of police auxiliary/training badge and promised to come back to pay for the gas in the morning. When he never returned, they reported him to the police, he got a conviction for impersonating an officer, and was then forever banned from becoming a cop.
And the video showing insurance fraud when his brother hit the taxi. Jeremy then told his brother to leave the scene so Dimwitt can be the victim to get the insurance money. His brother likely had a concussion when he was told to leave on Jeremy's bike
So I guess that means we all got lucky.

No one can really blame Vidler for his frustration. Jeremy has been a thorn in Central FL for over a decade.
He does a lot of escorts for a wealthy religious org, and their high powered atty consistently played the system to keep Jeremy free.
By this point there had been MANY civilian complaints and police calls over Jeremy using his modified fake guns to intimidate or threaten people who failed to obey his orders immediately. There was a panicked woman and a man he tried to force off the road, just off the top of my head.
Jeremy had blocked major intersections and had provided escort for people racing on the interstate. He had been warned repeatedly for his behavior.
Note that this instant he is pulling his crap on Interstate 4, and that he never. Stops. Running. His. Mouth. By high school most people know its pointless to argye with a cop.
Did Vidler screw up? Yes. Is he guilty of police overreach? I would argue so. But is it understandable? Hell yes. Vidler was a hero to me for trying to make central FL safer. Jeremy and his bullcrap company terrorized drivers and made the roads even more dangerous.
Beyond all that the nitpick over the actuality of the weapon in this vid is silly. From a distance it looks like a real gun and that was Vidlers stance

Cops are aware how blatantly unjust the criminal system is to the point that even if they are caught and called out for illegally arresting and locking someone in a cage, they will file a lawsuit suggesting it should have been okay that he did that, and that he normally wouldn't have gotten fired for doing his job incorrectly and holding a person against their will so the department must have fired him for something else. How crazy is that that they so obviously know they're doing wrong but will sue for getting fired for it because they're usually allowed to do the wrong thing? It's gotta stop. Wrongful arrests should result in officers serving cage sentences of up to 3 years at least. I'll never understand why people hate on him to the absurd extent they do, like your "literal menace to society" assessment". I imagine it gives some folks an artificial feeling of superioriority when they point out the shortcomings and misdeeds of others, ignoring their own lack of perfection. Like the children in school who pick on others that are different. The kids have an excuse, lacking wisdom, knowledge, and maturity they don't know any better. You and all the other haters? I don't know.
@@imvandenhhe was convicted for impersonation of a cop. Thats pretty much the definition of a menace. Plus hes on the sa registry.
@@stoyanb.1668 I think you just found Jeremy's burner YT account 😂.
@@imvandenhI agree that we shouldn’t look at a single moment in someones life and generalize them, but we’re talking about a guy who fakes being a cop, hits cars on the road while doing so, forces unsafe road conditions, throws chairs from windows at cars, is on the sex offender list, is a felon, and generally tries to make himself seem like both the “big man” and victim at the same time in every public interaction.
Listen to sentences at 15:40 and 20:00. @imvandenh
Just make him a real cop. He's perfect.
😂😂🤣😂✌️
exactly
Going by how the cop dealt with him, it would be a hold my beer contest between the two.
Lol
Thats what im thinking too but Jeremy has a criminal history already so thats auto disqualification.
The whole time they're calling him by his name. They KNOW who he was.
My favorite part is when he was trying to be tough and yelling “you're gonna be quiet”.
When assholes collide. Also NONE of the other officers there bothered to challenge Vidler's PC for arrest. They all happily threw this guy in jail and towed his bike illegally and with no justification at all.
99% of cops making the rest look bad.
Unfortunately he was the ranking officer. Would not get a supervisor because he hew he was wrong.
Why would they challenge him? It's not their ass on the line, he's the ranking officer and I doubt any of them care anyway if he was wrong.
Even with all the trouble DeWitt has been in prior to this, its painfully obviously that this officer had prior history with him and was LOOKING for any reason to try to create trouble for him. Problem with cops LOOKING for issues to hurt people, there are the times like this when they [justifiably] only create issues for themselves!
honestly Fck Dewitt - Sex offender and impersonates police.
This is completely a retaliatory stop because it’s Jeremy. All the way
Well said...
I let out an audible, “NO!” when I saw the thumbnail
Getting yourself fired over a retaliatory arrest of a loser like Dewitt makes the Sgt. the ultimate loser.
Jeremy got em fired? Damn
I’ve heard of dewitt before. Funny how this wannabe cop gets the actual one canned for being a liar. I guess what they say is true about a broken clock being right twice a day.
This isn't so much a matter of Jeremy being right even once a day as it is about the cop being wrong and doing wrong. A sergeant should have known and done better. His mindset of corruption and blue line privilege didn't serve him well this time. I'm sure he never thought he'd actually be held accountable because he never had been before.
Hell the Sargeant wasn't actually fired. It is customary in the United States to fire a LEO, BUT not to take away his/her law enforcement certifications. And it is also customary for a "fired" LEO to seek employment in another neighboring jurisdiction, OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
11:23 you’re acting like a child he says as his voice cracks and his pitch raises. Lmao
No matter what ELSE he may be guilty of, you do NOT arrest a suspect on a patently false charge.
Bingo
Yup. As much as I sympathize with Vidler's frustration, you gotta for your i's and cross your t's. You can't make stuff up.
@@robinpage2730 Seems this officer was personally, emotionally invested from the beginning. He had NO REASON to draw his gun. There's was NO indication that the subject was a threat to anyone. And this cop was a SGT??? Imagine how many times he's gotten away with this kind of thing because it wasn't caught on video?
@@spartacusjonesmusic Exactly, while the victim was a criminal, the fact they can make up stuff to get someone arrest is just a line you do not cross. Cause it can now happen to you!
@@kotlolish except he didn't get arrested, just fired from the department, can still be a cop some other place.
Cops should remember their cowardice in uvalde next time they feel froggy.
we are talking about fake cops and real cops having yelling wars not shootings
15:15 Is that comic sans on the side of the cruiser? Arguably as disgusting as the cops and Jeremy No-Witts 😂😂
Wow this one is full of intrigue. No clear right or wrong. Love it
Jeremy is a menace. Im no cop fan, but i feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with DeWitt
He wears a utility belt that has a holster and handcuffs. None are needed to escort funeral processions. His vehicles have lights that can at certain angles resemble police vehicle lights.
I don't care either way. Jeremy is inconsequential to my life and happiness and as far as the cops go, they have to deal with far worse than a clown like Jeremy Dewitt. He's nothing. If his harmless antics trouble them that much, they need to consider a career at Walmart because policing doesn't get much easier than a simpleton like him.
I just love courts. A holstered pistol is shrodinger's carry; whatever the cops decide to charge you with, that's what it is. Carrying concealed without a license = pistol in a holster is considered concealed. Open carry without a license = pistol in a holster is considered open carry.
Ah yes. The concealed in plain view firearm. Gimme a fn break
The incompetence is strong on this one…
Dude is unhinged…. What a lunatic!
Jan 23-Jun 24. A year and a half after arrest, we need to get a statute of limitations on how long it takes to put someone on trial. A year and a half for felony charges that are probably open and shut cases is outrageous.
As a felon myself I'm unable to possess a gun. I've been told that a gun is anything that used a trigger to fire a projectile. Meaning I can own a bow and arrow but not a crossbow.
No more nerf fights then😅
Wouldn't put it past them to arrest me if they see me carrying one...
Also that isnt technically true. Black powder guns are not considered firearms
Been told wrong. Antiques (such as black powder guns) and airguns are not legally considered firearms. Can legally purchase and possess cap and ball revolvers or high-powered airguns as a felon.
Wow just about every carpenter I've met has been a felon in possession of a firearm by that logic. Those nail guns are dangerous.
Wow this is the "Motor One" crossover I have been waiting for. LOL
