I have the Stile and hesitated a lot between it and Eureka, I would have taken Eureka rather than Stile because 1 - my Stile is broken after 15 months (doesn't switch on), I had screen issues couple of weeks after I bought it, Eureka is specialised in grinders, Rancilio in coffee machines... And that's important to have the best product from the best brands

    Hi there,
nice video, however the Rancilio is in fact a stepless grinder. True, it has these stoppers at the markers, but you can adjust the grinder in between them.

You can also pause the grind on Eureka by pushing the micro switch, don't need to touch the screen.

Hi Pedro! You can put down for a Stile pre-order! Looks great, good workflow, quiet and grinds good. Don't need much more in a grinder.

What’s the exchange on both, is the Stile as low as the Specialita?

What grinder do you have at home Pedro?

Currently the Eureka XL, and use a wormhole on my portafilter to keep area super clean.
Small food print, love the touch pad, and grind on demand suits me at home.
At the warehouse, studio etc tend to single dose and weight shots, but at home just want minimal fuss coffee in the morning :)

@@CoffeePartsTV that’s awesome! I feel you with minimal work flow in the morning. Took me awhile to decide between single dose grinder vs grind on demand.
Seen a few of your comparisons vids between specialita and xL. Would you say upgrading to xL or even atom is worth it for home work flow?
I think you should do a vid of your full home setup. Other viewers and myself will be very interested in.
      Keep up the great vids!

    • @CoffeePartsTV

The Specialita, XL and Atom will all have the same work flow.
What will change is the grind speed and consistency (and also retention/exchange).
If you didn't have a grinder, the XL is noticeably nicer than the Specialita, however considering you already have a Specialita, it may not be worth the upgrade.. With the Atom, depends on which one, the 65mm version is great with a small hopper.
Have thought of doing videos at home, as a more relatable environment than in studio, and more natural angle to work from than effectively being behind the machine doing coffee. I actually keep my coffee process very simple as for me its about the coffee moment with my family rather than the 'perfect' shot at home.

      @wisarutamat3455 Год назад

@@CoffeePartsTV Yes with what you mentioned in your other vids as well XL isn't too much of an upgrade. May go with Atom later this year or wait a bit for newer releases or potentially price drops on your site.
I totally agree with you for the coffee moments at home. Having the ability to do a quick cup or your family and friends is better than standing behind the coffee setup for too long and miss those convos and such.
      Thanks for the reply Pedro!

Eureka, yet not by much (Note: we use an app on an iPhone and not scientific testing equipment).

AVOID that grinder, as simple as that... I got a Stile 9 months ago, for roughly two dose of 18 gr per day since then. Suddenly motor stopped working (buzz sound but burr do not move at all). Apparently, this is an issue on this grinder. I bought it based on Rancilio brand reputation without checking if it was possible to remove burr for full clean up. I found no easy way to access the grind chamber to clean or replace the burrs (if needed). I think they designed it to be serviced only by a repair technician which is absolutely weird. As a consumer, I DO NOT recommend the Stile, there are better options offering full maintenance without needing a repair service for quite pretty basic maintenance like full burr cleaning.

If the Rancilio is as sturdy and reliable as the Rocky it wins over the Eurika. The Rancilio is also far more expensive.

Pedro is selling grinders and he says in the video they sell far more grinders with hoppers.
Single dose is only for obsessed coffee enthusiasts, casual coffee drinkers would find it too much work. My parents have the Breville Smart Grinder Pro and love it, they would not bother to weigh beans for a single dose.
If you go to a department store in Australia (not a specialist coffee store), you will not find a single dose grinder, but you would find multiple hopper-based grinders.

I am certainly more than a casual espresso drinker and I choose to use a hopper. I like the look of it, they are easier and faster to use, and there is no appreciable difference in taste. On the occasions where you need to pull multiple shots, a SDG would be a real pain in the ass. I understand the alleged reasons for wanting to use one, but in truth, and with everything else being equal, no one can tell the difference between a shot pulled from a hopper or a SDG.

I use a hopper full of 200 grams of beans, I roast every few days and they last about 5-7 days. It’s a matter of workflow and convenience. Specialita!
