I have been there: it’s a real place. Hotel pools are usually a bit spooky, and they clearly tried to make it more welcoming by adding the trippy mural. At night, it’s a bit like going to a neon bowling alley, and swimming.
Things that you loved as a kid really do get creepier as you grow up. You have countless vids on liminal playspaces that got abandoned and that's a great example.
I’ve been to that hotel before, never gone swimming in the pool though, it’s pretty cool to see that Winnipeg had a liminal space covered on RUclips though.
@@Shookey yeah, and they live 3 hours away from Winnipeg in a little village so it probably would be hard to convince them to bring me there again, and over night, but it would be cool.
I spent so long looking for where this image came from and some more similar finally I find it ok this is exciting I even got to see this scene in a dream
I was originally looking at hotel liminal spaces and nearly had a fit seeing this! I stayed at this hotel and my cousin tried to get me to go swimming in this pool and I point blank refused as soon as I saw it and told her she was swimming by herself.
I definitely wouldn't want to either I'll tell you that much. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put eyes on them, especially considering they're natural objects lol
@Shookey what made it doubly creepy was that we were the only two in there and the lighting is just like that, it doesn't get any brighter. The corridor that you have to walk down to get to it is kind of...slanted? I guess like for wheelchair access maybe I don't know. It gives it a Poltergeist long hallway vibe right before you open the door to the dark pool of oh hell no ents
I honestly dont think the creatures are all that creepy. Maybe if they were STARING at me, then yea I would feel watched. But in and of themselves I dont get why you’d day they’re creepy. They’re more bright and cheery.
Well, for me personally, I always try to imagine putting myself in the place of the space I'm looking at. For instance, when I was exploring this location, I tried to really feel what it would be like to be there. The warm chlorine, the loneliness, nothing but these two odd creatures, who've worn over the years, just staring at you
@@Shookey The staring at you part I guess is what would creep me out. I honestly would have a fear that suddenly they’d start moving their eyes towards me behind my back. the fear can feel so real sometimes

My grandparents live in Manitoba so next time I go I'll have to convince them to go here!
that would be awesome! unless it's mad expensive... might as well go somewhere else....

finding the liminal space Speedrun real!!!
The snail with those eyes looks cute and creepy.
It's interesting how it can look both creepy and cute at the same time but yes, I see what you mean...
This pool makes me feel weird I don't like the snail, tree and mushroom watching me
Can you imagine being half naked and vulnerable and you got these dudes giving you the look
@@Shookey Sounds like sleep paralysis I don't like it

Idk that tree might be willingly there, you never know
I'd love to see a video if you could where you find the locations behind famous liminal space images...

it would be even stronger if they were lifelike dolls though those are what would scare me
i made a joke about the entity 'backrooms turbo' who is the snail in the first image. based of an movie
1:33 why is that so freaking horrifying?
liminal space!!
@@Shookey that's creepier than most liminal spaces I've seen
It’s 1:02 but I’m still gonna watch it
a real one right here ^
early also no way I'm from winnipeg!!
no way! a winnipegian! have you ever seen this hotel before?
@@Shookey I'm pretty sure I've never been there before, it looks nice though!
I'm not entirely sure this is an actual liminal space, given that there's no visible exit or progression in the original image.
would that, in fact, make it a liminal space?
i will be ignoring all humans in existance because #liminal space
good. there's no going back. what's done is done. #liminalspace

Not the weirdest, just looks like a weird indoor children’s reck center pool
