Wow this was such a cool video. I never realized how interesting it is too see continuity in liminal images since they generally are mix-matched. Also the empty room at that mall that Anxiety Opossum was at looks just like a Spirit Halloween store. They’re closed at all times other than Halloween.
@@Shookey I’ve never seen one opened year round but they’re definitely weird, especially the Spirit Halloweens that show up in closed stores that you even remember when the store was open.
I love Liminal spaces, there's something about them thats bith comforting and not. So seeing images that are from the same place (or look it) always gives even more of that feeling, adding more loneliness to them
Malls are definitely very interesting as liminal spaces. Seeing the empty malls that are suppose to be filled with people is very haunting and it feels very off. The mall playgrounds especially can be very nostalgic if you grew up playing on them.
1:23 after a re-watch I noticed something. this section of this abandoned mall has "home decor" on a shelf with orange and black colored shopping baskets. the pillars or whatever you call them, have faux bloodstains. whenever this part of the mall fell into ruin it was during Halloween in some unknown year. fascinating key thing to note as it's my favorite holiday yet it hasn't been as fun in the last few years or so.
@@ShookeyThey opened up my eyes to see a totally different side of the normal places that we may see everyday, and it also made me think about how those places have a different effect on certain people, like everyone sees them different depending on their view or memories of some place that they have seen or been before
I think the fact that separate places feel like they could take place in the same room is an interesting way to add onto the lore. As if you really did just enter unfamiliar territory that cosmically shouldn't exist
nice video i really like how well you pinpoint and articulate what stands out to you, love listening to you analysing/pondering over liminal space images i sometimes know what i like about an image but it is harder for me to put into words also these image sets are really cool cause you can imagine i little better what it would be like to actually be there and explore the space
Thanks Ju! When you mentioned understanding the whole space, that was actually some of the reason I wanted to make this video, because I thought that was a cool concept. Didn't mention it in this video, but definitely will mention it down the line because it does interest me. Thanks for stopping by ❤️
I have been watching your channel since long time when I recently discovered the world of liminal spaces. And I must say that your channel gives this dreamy or another dimensional vibes. You cover everything about liminal spaces so accurately. Love it. Keep uploading 😇
usually when you see these showcase pictures with no people it's because it's cheaper. you don't have to get anybody to sign release forms or feed them or anything. saves on legality it's also sort of instant, you don't have to wait for a day with lots of guests, you just wait til after hours and take em.
I imagine making a bit of a narrative to go along with them is a lot of the fun in trying to correlate similar ones. Making a larger context of a location that can be sorta explored through the set of images, while still not so much context that the location makes total sense and thus becomes mundane again. Although I suppose one can go to the extreme and make it so silly as to be less believeable but in to a more weirdcore(?) category.
Liminal spaces are so neat, they’re scary but really cool. Once I see a liminal space I wanna make one. I appreciate people who make these images. All in all, liminal spaces? Super cool.

I prefer pure leminal space videos far more than backrooms content because it's typically laced in late 90s and early 2000s nostalgia. It's inc eerie, really. Backrooms has started to become kinda cringe because it's become too popular and the concept of entities isn't as scary as to be lost and alone in a world that clearly was developed but you can't find anyone there.

Spirit Halloweens are their own breed of liminality, sometimes they're open year round and it's very strange
I knew it was a Spirit Halloween right off, the orange baskets and the distinct branding style on the sign on the background...

It's like we know the full space, but it doesn't make it any less lonely
I love seeing stories within Liminal Spaces, especially in malls
that's why the backrooms is so appealing, it's so home-like but yet so foreign, and has a roughly continuous story.

Are there liminal space images that are out side? I usually only see the images of an indoor room and never outdoor place
Yes! The third and fourth image (the ones that were blurry) those were taken outdoors -- it's not too common but it's possible!
Yes nostalgia

I like taking images warp them into something else and make the photos look fussy and poor quality to create a surreal liminal space
Cool!
We should feed an AI to create more great liminal space images.
We should generate specific liminal space images and maybe even locations
