    Love how it came out! Just wrapped up 2 FI IB15's in my 2015 fusion and am having some major baffle flex issues I have to fix. Wish I could weld lol

      You could always do t slot or bolt together framing.

    how well has the steel frame held up? im pretty much copying your build in my corolla, I previously had 2 15" woofers in a wood braced 1.5" baffle and ended up running into baffle flex issues. Debating on if I should make a steel brace like yours or go all out and use aluminum T channels instead. Excellent craftsmanship in your build by the way!

      Also did you ever hear a windshield score for this build? Those Fi's surely get nasty even for an infinite baffle.

    • @theplatinumcaraudio
      @theplatinumcaraudio  2 месяца назад

      @ThatLoudF-150 it has held up quite well. As for spl, he doesn't really care about that so it has never been metered. It plays loud and low though.

    Did you connect the baffle to the steel frame you welded together? If so, what did you use? I’m right on the brink of doing this and want to make sure I research it to death beforehand. Thanks bro.

      1/4-20 bolts and t nuts. The t nuts are on the baffle and bolt goes from the steel into the t nut on the baffle.

    Are these the IB’s?.. or are you using a different model Fi?.. how much power are you running to them?.. what amp?

      These are the ssd's and there is a deafbonce aak4000.1 on them. I feel like they could handle a good bit more though.

    So with the subs facing the trunk how does it get it’s pressure? The cabin is too big of a space right?

    • @theplatinumcaraudio
      @theplatinumcaraudio  Год назад

      The whole car becomes the enclosure and no it isn't too big. Infinite baffle configurations give the smoothest response with a really low extension compared to others with less power. It doesn't have the overall volume (loudness) of a sealed or ported box though.

      @@theplatinumcaraudio so with the cabin being the enclosure on 2 12 will it sound low with a little rattle? I’m not going for spl or loud banging just a theater setting in the inside not out. If I open the trunk I should hear a lil thump

    What did you do with the rear speaker? I am building a trunk baffle with one 18" and don't want to blow the cones off of the rear deck speakers lol.

      They are still in there. Some of these cars have covers at the top that kinda enclose the speakers.
