It got really hard to brush my teeth without my gums bleeding so I stopped altogether now I only have 8 incomplete shattered blackening teeth, it's honestly depressing because you look way older without teeth and I seriously thought about killing myself over it. @ Sara Bement. We are talking about saving teeth here. Have you considered that the missing tooth could be replaced to prevent the tooth you wanted pulled from supererrupting? This should have been explained if there were a possibility. Also and I didn’t see your tooth but typically upper teeth don’t usually line up directly with the lower teeth so oftentimes there is still contact with another tooth. Was the tooth you had drifting down into the space below? If not, you probably had enough contact that it wouldn’t have drift much Something to consider.

I live in Oregon and will do anything for teeth. My only option for my last 14 teeth is to have them pulled. Why?? For one, I am 58 and having no coverage for dental many years now along with life brought me here. Second, I am on SSDI and there is no dental and pulling them is free because I have a low income and I am caring for an adult son with a disability on my disability income. I simply can't pull the money together at all. I can't even pay for presc., copays and ins. premiums either. But I am not complaining. Same thing with Lasik or hair transplants. These elective surgeries tend to be WAY overpriced.

I was severely abused my whole childhood and was never taught how to take care of myself or brush my teeth or anything. When I was older and learned about it, by that point my teeth were already irreversibly damaged. I was often bullied about it though all my years of school. I've been so depressed about it I never smile and I'm scared to talk to people cause they might see my teeth or smell my bad breath. Honestly I often consider suicide as my only solution to my dental issues because I don't have dental insurance and getting my whole mouth fixed would cost me more than I can probably ever afford. I'm happy for this woman though, I can't imagine how it must feel to be able to smile and not instantly have happiness replaced with the fear of someone seeing your disgusting teeth.
