I can never decide what amazes me more - the quality of the builds or the stop motion animation. Either one is impressive, but together they're just magical. I love watching your videos .
Without a doubt, The best build video of any model I have ever seen anywhere. The quality of the model making work is only surpassed by the videography. Stunning. Awesome. Superb.
I’ve watched thousands of model build videos prior to purchasing a particular kit. Some on tanks, some on ships, and planes, trucks, and various other types. This video has to be the best. Absolutely stunning work.
This is an Academy Award worthy presentation. I kid you not!! I am awestruck by your work Tom. There are no words. You are master at your various crafts!!!
I am impressed. Very good job and really hard work. RUclips needs more talented and hardworking people like you and not only people who melt or crash or burn things. Subscribed.
Fantastic work Tom - you are a genius! Thanks for sharing! I’m 75, and have taken up modelling again after a 60 year hiatus ( now that I’m grounded due to Covid) and found your site by chance........I’ve spent the last 3 hours watching your work, and I’m fascinated!
It occurred to me half way through, l'm watching this masterpiece at no charge. I consider this a privaledge. I used the link to Amazon U.S. to check the price. I was amazed to find that Haynes offers a workshop manual for the Camel as well as other war birds and the Merlin engine.
At one point I felt like watching an animation not real model kit being assembled in real life, a model builder, a director, a photographer, an artist all in one,👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
By any standards this is an amazing piece of work! Both your model making skills and your video production are simply fantastic Tom. Every video you produce is a work of art in itself; truly wonderful.
Just the best model building videos on RUclips. On the internet. Just anywhere! Thanks so much for your work! My 2 year old boy is transfixed by them...and so am I!
I am absolutely amazed over this video! I have watched it several times and it gets even better each time! The quality is unbelievable! I anxiously await any other videos you produce!
@@TomGrigat As a life-long aeromodeller, I have built over 500 model aircraft, all of which have flown. Jf their oerformance reduced them to dust gathers, I destroyed them. I don't denegrate your achievement, but please see it from my perspective.
Bonjour ! Je regarde vos vidéos comme de véritables petits fims, pleins de charme et de poésie. Merci et bravo pour ces moments d'évasion ! J'espère que vous trouverez l'inspiration encore longtemps.
I'm very glad to hear you like my work 😊 when I am experienced enough and well trained I would like to try your wood sailing ships with lot of rigging - I have a plastic "black pearl" in 1/72 which is waiting to be assembled. This kind of ship is kind of a modelling goal to achieve...
When I watch your airplane videos, I am stunned by your skills, but also the genius and skills of the aircraft pioneers and builders. The use of wire to create stability (maybe even more apparent in the Sopwith Camel video than the Fokker video) is just brilliant. How anyone figured out how to create a rugged airframe with such flimsy materials is just stunning. In any case, your videos (which I have been devouring) have made me think about these planes in a whole new way. You have so inspired me that I bought the Fokker kit (I mentioned in a prior post that my grandfather was a Fokker mechanic in WW1). Hopefully I can make it shine.
It really made me think about these early plane designers as well. Building ship models has made me appreciate the technology of those early ships that was honed over centuries of sailing. It’s like I’m visiting the minds of these people from history.
This is absolutely amazing. You should call your channel Saint Toms Modelling in Motion because you have the patience of a saint, as my Nan always used to say. My Nan was from Darlington, UK and told me about the blackouts, hiding in the underground shelters singing the time away and the rationing. She was a war bride who came to Canada on convoy and my Grandad was a bomb aimer in a Handley Page Halifax, 429 "Bison" Squadron. He did 32 bombing missions and I have his log book that he kept. Love your work, Tom. You are grade A badass at this stuff!
The mind of a de Vinci and the eye of a Michelangelo. You operate at a level far above most and make it possible for everyone to enjoy. I truly appreciate your work and look forward to more. Why some Hollywood label hasn't picked you up yet is a mystery for another time.
The folks over at the Making It podcast recommended your channel. I am grateful they did. This is amazing work, I am going to recommend your channel to my son who is a big airplane fan.
I have the Model Airways Camel kit. Its been sitting for a couple years waiting to be built. Thanks for including paint colors. Doesn't look like you weathered the wood. I am thinking of some sort of varnish or something.
You are not only a master builder..you are also a computer genius. Your vids are a pleasure to watch. I have just purchased the Sopwith Camel and I am in for a challenge...lol
These are so amazing. I absolutely love seeing the bones of these old planes.. the first generation of fighter aircraft and they were canvas and wood frames with anemic engines.... those men must have seemed insane to be willing to try to fly them.
I can never decide what amazes me more - the quality of the builds or the stop motion animation. Either one is impressive, but together they're just magical. I love watching your videos .
I wholeheartedly second.
And this is coming from a model master
Absolutely! Magical is the right word.
Couldn't agree more
Absolutely...It is stunning workmanship

This was a stunning animation. It is rare to see anything put together so perfectly.

Michael 732 You are so right, , ,EXACTLY what You Tube is for
Thanks
Your videos and modeling are fabulous. Thank you.
HOLY MOLY! Brilliant, inspiring and amusing. This should win an award (Oscar for best Construction Video anybody?) - it is, simply, sublime.

I'm very pleased you like my work 😊 thank you.
I respect this as modelling at its whole is really time consuming so i cannot imagine how long it was for you to create this!
What an amazing model
Another masterpiece from you...and the little fellow!
Your videos are always awesome, adding a robot worker; wow!
I'm glad you like it 😊
That little plastic man does some fine work, whatever you're paying isn't enough!
No, it isn't 😂
He does some amazingly fine work considering where his anus is. How it doesn't put him off I'll never know...
Superb model and animation!! 👍
Thanks for posting, Tom!! Your videos are always absolutely amazing!!
Thanks a lot 😊
The little makers.......pure genius!!!
Absolutely stunning!!!! I can't begin to imagine how long this must have taken to make. But I am so glad you did.
Another Outstanding video! Thank you for the entertainment!

FANTASTIC TOM !! NEW name for vlog .
Just brilliant. I loved every second of it...and then a Storm Trooper came in. Tremendous!
How / Why has ANYONE disliked this. The time it must have taken to model alone, let alone stop animate the whole process. Amazing. Just superb.
Thank you very much 😊

Make a model like that is one thing, but film it like you did, a different story...hats off!
thanks a lot...
Love the animation, and such quality builds, truely fantastic, beautifully done!
Thank you very much
Incredible artwork. Thanks for the video.
Thanks - you're welcome 😊

Loved the stop motion. While watching I was thing about how it would look with a couple of mechanics dressed in period clothing. Great work
I am absolutely amazed over this video! I have watched it several times and it gets even better each time! The quality is unbelievable! I anxiously await any other videos you produce!
Such great modelling, and painting skills presented in clever, imaginative and entertaining ways. Always a joy to watch and re-watch
I'm pleased to hear 😊
man, what a superb job you have done.
No words ! Amazing build, Amazing edit , very nice work !! Thank you !
Now that's the way to show a model video very cool
Amazing workmanship.
I have to rewind just to see how this is so perfectly made.. Ty... Really just fascinating... Great work. Tom
Thanks for your kind words 😊
It is so nice to seat, relax and enjoy seeing this incredible work
Award winning motion build sir.
I honestly kept shaking my head in amazement in reaction to this build.
Thanks a lot 😊
Love your typography. It's refreshing to see attention to these elements.
You are a genius! Video is so smooth.
Thanks a lot
Yet ANOTHER amazing production. I stand in awe of your remarkable skills. Magnificent!
All he did was assemble a kit.
@@daveday5507 I guess you missed the technical achievement of his video production.
@@jackdavis3988 I too stand in awe of the video, but why not video something worthwhile?
What would be worthwhile in your opinion? And you're right, I assembled a kit only...

yup. me, too 🙂
One of the best vídeos i ever seen
*AWESOME !!!* 👍😎

You are the best one, Tom! Thanks for your excellent work, as usual!!! Best regards,

One of the Best clip I've ever seen!
Toms clips are worth to run in museums. Fabulous!
Thanks
Amazed as always. Only I like seeing the work area, tools and techniques you use for your builds. Great job!
Amazing artwork, video and build!
Thank you very much
So that's how you build 'em, I figured you had help. As long as the little dude doesn't eat much keep'em on board
Yes, this little guy is my most prolific worker on these topics 😎
He would like to build cars as well. You might have seen him building a bike. He had fun with it as well....
I hope you pay that little guy well...seems like a hard worker!
Great vid my friend!
Oh, he's kind of a son and said he works for free...
Awesome vid as usual...truly impressive, congrats!!
Thanks
Awesome job Tom. I Love both the Camel and the Dr1 tripe
Thanks, I'm pleased to hear
Amazing. You content is always one to be reckoned with!
Thanks
that was a visual treat- amazing.
Extremely impressive! You should do one in 1/1 scale now :D
Doing stop action video like this one must take a considerable amount of planning, time and effort. Marvelous video.
Just found you and subscribed. Good stuff
Thank you 😊 I'm pleased to hear
Your video certainly shows why the man responsible for the airframe was called a "rigger". Fantastic video, thanks.
Hi Tom Can you do A “behind the scènes” How you make these amazing vids?
+ 100
Really Awesome!!!
Thanks
Art
Very cool! Nice work.
I liked the ending.....A Stormtrooper sitting down to watch a Collar and TIE fighter......a really bad pun, but who am I to judge....
I have taught old school frame by frame animation to 5th graders and this is a tour de force of fine animation. Great job !
Thanks a lot 😊
And to think, I am just happy when I do not smear the glue of have a paint overspray.
Now Thomas, let's be honest here; admit it. You had that little man do most of the work. Right?
Tom, a fantastic job. made me smile. I want one now.
Thanks 😂😂😂
I expected Snoopy at the end lol....
That would have been a nice twist at the end. Good idea 😂
Me too. Snoopy and the Red Baron. 👍
