Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning is the fifth entry of the Friday the 13th film series. Homicidal maniac Jason returns from the grave to cause more bloody mayhem. Young Tommy Jarvis (John Shepherd) may have escaped from Crystal Lake, but he’s still haunted by the gruesome events that happened there. Years after Tommy murdered hockey-masked serial killer Jason Voorhees, he resides in a mental hospital and struggles with the trauma of the experience. When Tommy moves to an isolated halfway house, he has nightmares about Jason's return, and soon one of the patients (Dominick Brascia) is killed. As the body count grows, Tommy begins to question his sanity and wonder if Jason has risen from the dead. But to determine the killer's identity, Tommy will need to survive.

Underrated opinion: Roy was pretty cool.
So, when she tripped on oxygen, she couldn't get back up?
Some ppl were like"why didn't Roy just get out of the way?" at least it shows us how strong roy is, he is stronger than a average human
Pam is one of the most underrated characters of the franchise, but in terms of being a final girl… she’s one of the weakest ones until the barn scene.

It was either that or - as confirmed in the novel Friday the 13th Mother’s Day and the novelisations of Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives as well as Part 5: A New Beginning and from my own personal opinion - Jason Voorhees’ spirit rose from beyond the grave sat up by his father Elias Voorhees (Mr Voorhees) and demonically possessed Roy Burns to find Tommy Jarvis and kill anyone who gets in his way. Burns is also possibly possessed by Mrs Pamela Voorhees (Jason’s mother, who started the whole Crystal Lake bloodbath that her son is continuing onwards) to do the bidding.
Got a feeling Roy Burns was able to get access to a jailed Victor Fadden and killed him first before Vinny and Pete (the grease head mechanics)

Even though Jason isn't the killer in this movie I do have to admit Roy does do a pretty good job of being Jason but the kills in this movie are pretty solid

How does a rotten corpse come to life after being struck by lightning? Isn't that so silly? How can a corpse with worms in its eyes suddenly come to life and become that?

Well, they had officially killed Jason in the Final Chapter. Paramount realized they killed off their guaranteed money maker so part 5 was just a desperate move to keep the franchise going in order to make a quick buck. After the Final Chapter they were terrible. Paramount was always embarrassed of these movies but they were very low budget with a guaranteed return
