And he starts killing everyone EXCEPT Vic, the guy who actually killed his son. Putting an axe into the hands of someone so unstable was a bad idea, in the first place, not to mention Roy letting his son around them unsupervised, everything about this was screwed up.

This was the 1st Friday the 13th movie I saw so it confused the hell outa me. The 2nd one I saw was the original. The 3rd one I saw was in fact part 3 I believe which finally Jason himself was the legit killer in.
Can you imagine if we'd gotten a scene where Roy revealed himself and had to explain why he went on a murder spree? "When the son I abandoned to the foster care system was suddenly murdered one day, I swore revenge on all those responsible. His foster siblings who weren't there when he was killed! The people who ran his halfway house that weren't there when he was killed! Ethel, who hated the kids who had s*x on her property, which didn't include my abandoned son! The greasers, diner couple, and random stranger who reminded me of how I was a complete stranger to my son! The brother & his girlfriend who reminded me of how my abandoned son will never eat Mexican food or take a sh*t again! And my coworker who chewed gum!" "What about the guy who actually murdered your son?" "......... I knew I was forgetting someone...."
Creepily in that later Friday the 13th game, he can be unmasked without dying. He'll just have an emotionless look on his face as he continues killing, he's gone fully mad.
You can see it better, if you pause at the right spot at 1:01 You can see how it wraps around his head except for the face where he hides it under a hockey mask.
He pretended to be Jason, but he was more like Jason's Mother for the role he played. Someone killed my precious boy and now everyone's going to pay for it.
I still don't understand this movie. As in why was someone impersonating Jason in this one? What was his motive? And why was he as strong and unstoppable as Jason?
You have to admire Roy. Always stayed in character even when his hand was cut off.

This is the only movie without Jason as killer but is still one of the best sequel
