    Good luck guys! Glad the project coming well and along of our futures transportation.
    If you could consider a vacuum suction within the sealed environment for decreasing the pod's inertia over a period of distance. Would that be a bit safer due to magnetic polls' switch?

    electric car with back wheels as motors front wheels as electric generating turbines

      I'm going to work on something else I just want someone to do this idea

    • @jort93z
      @jort93z 7 лет назад

      that does not make sense. the front wheels will break the whole time and produce heat while the back wheels accelerate and need more power than the back wheels produce. it would not drive a meter without draining the battery. you can use an electric generator for breaking but that is basically what hybrid cars do. its nothing new.

      I want you to try it and prove me wrong

    • @cmiller1515

      Ian Stockwell An intuitive idea, however, I feel as though he has a point. It would require a lot of energy to generate enough power for the motors, since just those two wheels would have to have enough horse power. And also, the front wheels would need to spin fast enough to generate that much energy, so you might as well use the power source being used to start the generator. I'm no expert on the matter, so don't let me stop you, but I think the idea needs a bit of work.

      I have a better idea it’s about no recharging battery at all, just regenerating energy by movement, I know how to do it but I don’t have the knowledge or the area to do it, I want to apply MIT so bad or any U to make my project

    I almost feel bad for the students there!! They spent so much time and effort in a technology that was OBSOLETE years ago due to high speed trains like the shinkansen in Japan, the TGV in Europe or the AVE in Spain.
    But then again, kids there don't care if it works or if it's commercially viable, all they care about is passing that class with good grades...

    • @pausena5811

      I have to tell, you're absolutely wrong, Virgin Hyperloop did the first passenger test a month ago. And the hyperloop concept is the closest it has ever been to turning into a reality.

    • @LuisMendoza-pp9qi
      @LuisMendoza-pp9qi 3 года назад

      @@pausena5811 but.... The hyperloop construction is extremely expensive, is th same as a TGV or high speed train....but add a concrete cover all around (adding more expense) and than add vacuum pumps which are very expensive!! Costs alone are going to bring the project down, even California had to cancel their high speed train project because of costs!! Now the hyperloop is almost twice as expensive as regular trains

      Remember LIMS is a relatively new technology, they're paving the way for other ways of using LIMS. Their efforts are cross disciplinary, be open minded

    • @Zingkc
      @Zingkc 2 года назад +1

      Did you not hear that it was a competition and a lot of the students were working on their phd's at that time? It was extracurricular, it WASNT about grades. And grade? Psshhh they are at freaking MIT. Those are one of the brightest group of people on the planet. And why should you feel bad for them? They know exactly what they are doing and by the looks of it, they absolutely seems to be having fun working on it. And engineering and science doesnt always have to be economically viable when you start out. The cost will keep coming down as people keep on working on it and improving on it. Thats how its always been. Dont come here trying to sound condescending.

    • @LuisMendoza-pp9qi
      @LuisMendoza-pp9qi 2 года назад

      @@Zingkc that's why I said it, they are not interested in making this technology a commercial success!! That's the difference between students and us at private Start up companies, we Have to make it work, for us is not just an exercise (that's why I don't think Hyperloop will ever be a commercial success)
