What surprises me (to a certain extend) is the fact that people do this in university... why not do this BEFORE enrolling? When I applied for one of the very limited places at a design school in the late 80s, most courses would require extensive experience in fabrication / making and sometimes even a vocational degree AND an extensive portfolio of drawings analyzing form and structure of the world around us. As much as I like the concept of the course shown in the video, from a student's perspective it's almost a waste of tuition fees... (yes, I am exaggerating in my conclusion).
In Poland - it was often 1,5h of inarticulate illegible mumbling just under the blackboard (questions rather unwelcome) - followed by homework that had little to do with the "presented" subject. Labs were the strongest aspect, but heavily underequipped. I think future of higher educations lies in e-learning. Professors sould focus their energy only on creative/problem solving classes, like in video, lectures that basically need litttle or no change for years (especially theoretical math or physics) - are a waste of their time.
I am very depresssed after watching this video. I always wanted to be a scientist and wanted to do such things but here in india the only things that we can do in our colleges is shitt.
1st year going to end, college teach me nothing , even for practicals I am supposed to learn the readings , I took computer programming that's why , because then I can learn it on my own within the need of college

I wish i was in MIT. Love airplane, make them but sadly i dont have teacher who take interst in it
And we are still hoping to attend our first offline lecture
This makes me hate my college
Prof Daniel frey is great, long life prof
this is last year of my ocmputer science degree and we barely touched any equipments
Such type of work I do without MIT
In Poland - it was often 1,5h of inarticulate illegible mumbling just under the blackboard (questions rather unwelcome) - followed by homework that had little to do with the "presented" subject. Labs were the strongest aspect, but heavily underequipped.
I think future of higher educations lies in e-learning. Professors sould focus their energy only on creative/problem solving classes, like in video, lectures that basically need litttle or no change for years (especially theoretical math or physics) - are a waste of their time.
Please who knows the name of the
Software used in the video for the engineering designs
MATLAB, SOLIDWORKS
@@bhanusri3732 Thanks
I really dream of that life every day in my life and am very good at it bcz i use to do these things at home by conventional ways.
I wish I could build just one of my ideas. Unfortunately people of average intelligence get passed over in life.
英語全て忘れましたけど動画見て意味が分かります❣️ありがとうございます😊
Practical engagement is more important than theoretical
I wish I had an opportunity to get such education
I am very depresssed after watching this video. I always wanted to be a scientist and wanted to do such things but here in india the only things that we can do in our colleges is shitt.
1st year going to end, college teach me nothing , even for practicals I am supposed to learn the readings , I took computer programming that's why , because then I can learn it on my own within the need of college
Please don't make some excuse those mit students in the end will end up studying high level of math and very deep understanding of physics as well
Activity based learning.
if I have a chance I would study in MIT university because this is my the biggest dream.
The only thing I made in my first year of uni was a water bottle bong
To all those people blaming indian education system, you are true.
But you won't understand that doors to knowledge are always open to us too but we spend time blaming others.
You people don't know about ISSER ? It's completely focused on research and development! IIT is not the only elite college!
To your surprise there are some schools too in which importance is given to practical experiences and not textbooks but we never took effort to find one!
IIsc too
Is they are pg mechanical engineering student or ug?
One guy look like saloon guy!
in mit they make them rencho not chatur
None of this can be done by yourself, at home. The tuition you pay goes to create AND maintain a stasis field around the university, which cannot be seen, heard, or touched. In this field, reality is suspended and those enrolled in the undergraduate program are kept in a state of arrested development.
Great videos
