One interesting tip some neurologists suggested is studying and then going for a walk/run as your brain automatically "stores" argoments studied during the previous hours

In the exact same boat as you, except I'm going for Computer Science. Got a D on my first exam but my overall grade is currently a B. My initial approach was to use Kahn Academy and that helped a bit but I've decided it's better to just practice previous questions from homework until I git gud lol.

is this physics 1? this course is usually difficult for everyone. the key difference is how you learn. try to go over the textbook chapter BEFORE the lecture. what i did: open the textbook and find a subject for example: applying newton's laws and then go through the textbook. Then open up a youtube video and search physics 1 force, etc. get different layers and different explanations for things. eventually the overlap can fill in the gaps. then practice, practice, practice. physics in particular is all about practice. unlike calculus, chemistry, etc. i realized physics really only makes sense after you try a problem, get it wrong, then look to see where you went wrong. doing it again till you get the right answer, then trying another one and going through the process over and over. most importantly: dont give up. you're intelligent enough, it's just a matter of changing your approach. also, be honest with yourself, are you REALLY giving it your all? or are you procrastinating? only you can answer that.

Undergrad would’ve been awesome there, the location is just the best, I will always have a Boston shaped hole in my heart.

it's never too late to learn math from the ground up, or that "you're too old" to learn math, etc.
Think of it like this, a 90 year old who regrets choosing an unfulfilling career would do anything to be 38 years old again like you to "start over" and do things differently. Yes, you as a 38 year old right now might say "I'll do anything to be 18 years old again" for example - and an 18 year old might say "I'll do anything to be 12 years old again".
I guess my point is that right now, you are living the past of your future self. I probably looked way too deep into this for your comment to very well be just a joke - but I'm just putting it out there if it helps ya
