Hello, I have a simple puzzle that only involves one principle of physics that I am willing to bet you cannot solve. The puzzle asks just one yes or no question. I would like to make some sort of wager if you want to try puzzle.
The main thing to know about mechanical engineering is that the right side of the equation does not equal zero. Maybe that's why I'm a Structural Engineer.
I love this video and thank god I found it in time I’m in my senior year of hs and want to study mechanical engineering these tips and advice is something I will definitely keep with me when I start my college journey
Came across this video since I am starting my journey to getting my degree in mechanical engineering and wow the cheat sheets are a HUGE help !!! I am thankful for this video and the knowledge you are sharing and for going out of your way to make a channels specifically for this field of work. Thanks again man ! Wish you the best !
As a first year mechanical engineering student ,my opinion on engineering majors is if you did your high school studies properly and if your truly interested in engineering then and then only you should go for engineering if you do it with interest then engineering major will be very rewarding and life will be very good and secure for you , but if you are doing engineering just for sake of doing and you are academically weak in high school then do not go for engineering as a major your life will become very difficult, but if you are really determine to do engineering and you do not have any option then you will have to put a lot of work in
Hey, I’m a junior in hs but I’m only in algebra 2, do you think I could still catch up and be ready for engineering when I go to college? And if so would I have to double in math next year, and which 2 maths should I take if that’s the case?
@@svlwood6605 get the basic concepts right, math is subject which requires a lot of practice so give it time see your syllabus and prepare accordingly 👍
@@artanchor124 but what classes for math should I take next year in my senior year of college. To have all of the prerequisite classes and so that I’m able to know what they assume that I know
@@svlwood6605 get algebra down as good as you possibly can. then take pre-calculus or trigonometry at the very least if you're not ready to go into Calculus. Then in college get into Calculus 1 or college algebra if you can't take Calculus 1. People say to be an engineer you have to be good at math. That is only partly true. You do a lot of math in engineering, but honestly, once you get past calculus 2, you will realize that the math classes are the easy subjects. The physics classes are the ones that will require a lot of time and dedication, such as dynamics, etc. My advice is to get your basic knowledge in math down first. Algebra and Trigonometry are the key to understanding Calculus.
Thanks for sharing this man. It's reassuring to know what to expect in terms of the challenges and the importance of networking. Your advice about choosing professors wisely and focusing on health is invaluable because it gives us a real sense of what to expect in mechanical engineering. Appreciate this video. I’m considering switching to mechanical engineering although I’m in my fourth year. I want to work somewhere in the health/medical sector.
Really enjoy your videos bro. I wanna do my masters in mechanical engineering(ME) but I have a bachelors in biomedical engineering. My curriculum was heavily focused on mechanics so i wanna know if it will be easy for universities to accept me for the ME masters. Thank you for the video! Do you have an exact explanation on what you mean by having an "Engineering Mindset"? I would love to know more as I am studying engineering.
Engineering mindset just means having a systematic approach to identifying, solving, and/or preventing a complex problem from occuring using a variety of methods or tools i.e. FMEA, 5 Whys, the Scientific Method, etc. This applies more to industry, but even solving an engineering problem in school requires you to identify the givens and solve for the unknowns by applying knowledge learned in class.
this is why these people are really good of what they do and stealing from other people and very simple ways and which things around and give people a social Security to work hard and never get nowhere..
It is true that you should not study engineering if money is your main goal in your later career. However you still can have a comfortable above average life if you are a competent engineer. But success in life is not merely based on your education. Your personality, additional management skills, ability to do technical presentation, multiple languages knowledge. All these could factor in how successful you could be in later life. Being accepted into an engineering major doesn't mean you will surely graduate. The passing rate could be as low as 50% ( in my case EE major). Ideally a basic degree in engineering plus a MBA would secure you a safe path to a better career (easier to get a job with famous companies) In my case, I graduated with above average GPA and started my career with Siemens. Also multilingual (fluent in English, Chinese, German) has definitely helped a lot.
@@pcechan exactly... Engineering is very low-paying and also in many countries engineering has the highest unemployment ratio. idk why would someone do engineering if there's no high money (at least it matters for me).

First off I just want to say congratulations to you for deciding to go back to school as many don’t go back after years! Depending on the major and school the time frame for an engineering major is 4 years usually. But my school offers summer classes which can also help speed up the process to finish sooner. If you are really looking to get a good paying job right out of college it’ll be important that while your studying that you connect with your peers or apply to internships/ part time jobs that focus on your major. This is what mainly gets you a good start to finding a job straight from graduation. I don’t know much about being able to make 100k within the 6 years or so after you would graduate, I’ve heard many people who can build up to a level like that after 5-10 years and it just takes time. This is all I know about engineering, I can’t say I would know if accounting is better or not. But I know it’s important that if you choose to go with engineering that you really need to be committed and understand that classes will get hard sometimes and is overall a heavy work ethic major so Good luck to you with whatever path you choose!
