    In this video I show what the average person can turn a small cell phone repair business into. I first started with hardly any money. I Didn't have a shop, and never repaired a phone before. The reason why I learned to repair was to turn it into a business. Some people think there is not much money in the repair business. They are Wrong. Plenty of money in cell phone repair. It all started with 2 iPhones. I basically flipped up to where im at now. Before I had my shop, I was able to generate $9,000 in pure profit doing screen repair meeting people inside of a coffee shop. Thats a pretty good income comparing myself to making a little less then $1,200 a month working in the back of a warehouse at a guitar shop.

    Great video man, I have a small cell phone store where I sale cases and anything else and I'm trying to make the store in to a cell phone repair shop. I'm in The Dominican Republic and I don't have enough money and you know the different tools are a little expensive but your videos make me happy and they give me the strength I need, your videos give me motivation. Thank you man. Best regards from the Dominican Republic.

      Thanks for watching! My advise is to start with iPhones. You dont need special tools. Just some screwdrivers and a heat gun. I dont know which phones are popular in your country. Here in the United states its iPhone and Samsung galaxy phones. I recommend iPhones to start with because the parts are less expensive and they are easy to learn. I started out with basically almost no money. But the way I worked was I felt like I had a timeline everyday to learn as much as I can. I worked with a sense of urgency. I would stay up late until 4:00am sometimes trying to learn and figure everything out. The way I look at it is, if someone else is doing it and making money then why cant you learn and make money too. When I first start making videos for this channel one thing I didnt expect was many people from different countries are watching my videos. I thought only people from the United states would be watching. RUclips I see now is a worldwide website. Thanks for watching my videos. I should put another video up soon. 👍

    Hi Richard! Thank you for all the cell phone training and advice. You are a huge inspiration!!!
    Would you be willing to make videos about how to “Unlock & Jailbreak phones”?

    • @RichardMeza
      @RichardMeza  5 лет назад

      I haven't jailbroken iPhones in a long time. The way it worked back then, if you jailbroke an iPhone, it automatically unlocked to work with other carriers. It was a program you would put on your computer. So basically it unlocked and jailbroke iPhones for free. After a couple years, I stopped paying attention to it. I think because repairing phones made me so much more money that jailbreaking iPhones became more of a distraction. Probably because at that time I was only charging $15 bucks. So I focused on what made me the most money.

    would you say repairing cell phones now has increased or decreased since 5 years ago ? are phones getting harder to fix ?
    thanks ....

    • @RichardMeza
      @RichardMeza  5 лет назад

      Glass only repair on Samsungs did get harder. I couldn't do glass only repair on curved screen phones for a full year until I took a chance on that freezer machine. Then it opened up the doors on new repairs. I think alot of people are stuck on that. People that do glass repair on the S7 and older are stuck. I felt like it was a must to try a new repair technique. So I did and it paid off.. I'm not stuck on not knowing glass only repair on curved screens. As far as the iPhones, they always have been easy. With my approach it also has gotten more profitable with the new Oled screens on the iX and iXS phones. I will soon start on the iPhone XS Max phone. That will probably be my next phone to offer. I also think there is less competition with those new Oled screen phones because parts cost high. Alot of people are stuck in that race to the bottom. They think that being cheapest price brings in customers. What that brings is you being a broke business owner. Cell phone repair is all about speed and turn around time and marketing. Customers will pay more if they dont have long wait times.

      Once you know how to fix screens, the other stuff just comes naturally since the phone is already open. If you need to replace a camera, charging port, battery. Those are all pop connections. Easy to replace.

    Actually that's not all profit is it? That's what you took altogether including parts... So if you took the cost of the parts from that overall price it's would be alot lower. You don't have to make it so over the top even 10,000 profit is good any profit is a good thing.

For houses I used a app like Uber but for house tasks. And then I told them I can return regularly for a set rate. And I have about 10 houses I do now after work and weekends. And vending I go to stores and business and ask if they would like a machine.
