I remember my older brothers and I going to see Toy Story on opening night right before Thanksgiving that year. Like the opening night of the original Jurassic Park a couple years earlier, I felt like I was watching a technical achievement that would impact films forever.

OMG I had one of the Doodle Bears 🤩! I’m in Australia & love these nostalgic ads. I was 11 in 1995.

Eggo Waffles- With the creation of scented candles that smell like food, the kid in the suit’s invention of “Scent O Eggo” Spray invention is pretty realistic.

There's the "censored" version of the SMW2 ad! My friend got that in '95 while I ended up with Donkey Kong Country 2. Either way we really couldn't lose and I liked DKC2 more than the original!

Holy crap that wishing toy was a two layer joke. She asked if she was going to be a TV star, while in a starring role of a TV commercial.

Talkboy 2 commercial: A great follow-up would have been the boy with the Talkboy being chased around by his sister after playing the recording while her boyfriend was visiting.

Jim Hanks is also known for mimicking his brother in Robot Chicken sketches that features Tom's characters. 😄

McDonald’s- If that inflatable McDonald’s Restaurant that Ronald McDonald had in this commercial existed in real life, I’m sure it would allow everyone to get their McDonald’s food fix anytime, anywhere.

3:21 - It always knows what you’re doing…That’s right, Jimmy…it’s always watching you. It knows what you’re doing late at night. It knows you cheated on that math test. And unless you want this info to get out, you’re gonna stock up on batteries…The good stuff, not the cheap brand…

4:21 - "parents, listen up! worried about how youre raising your child, wondering if your way was the right way?"
As a child in 1995... no, it wasn't.

I wanted a Princess Wishing Star doll so bad when I was a kid.

that mario world 2 ad... yeesh. I get wanting to compete with what sega was doing, but that ain't it. (I can't even imagine what an earthbound ad would've looked like especially the way they advertised it in magazines back then)

A lot of people like to argue as to whether Yoshi’s Island or Donkey Kong Country 2 is the better game. My vote goes for DKC 2. I just prefer the atmosphere and tone of the game. I actually never played it back in the day, as I was a bit disappointed with the original Donkey Kong Country. It’s not a bad game, it just didn’t have the secret worlds or levels of Super Mario World.
I discovered DKC 2 as an adult collector. I found both games Complete in Box at a used game store and picked them up. I was amazed by how much better the sequel was. It felt like the game I had wanted the first to be.

Almost never hear anyone praise yoshi island. The baby Mario cry is such a deal breaker.
DKC is more like a real Mario game.

Donkey Kong Country 2 IMO is unquestionably better than the original game...which feels a bit like a tech demo at times with very little beneath the surface. The amount of secrets and bonus barrels in DKC2 just makes the original game feel a bit empty. However the original game has Aquatic Ambience going for it, so it's not all bad. ruclips.net/video/-5rAjOjTGtc/видео.html
SMW2 I find to be quite a tough game if you're trying to go for perfect scores on every level and has a lot of replayability due to that scoring system.
