Description:
In any sport, the draft is the way to go. It’s the best way for a team to build a successful championship squad. Since we’ve learned that spending money in free agency doesn’t always guarantee championships, teams are beginning to realize that draft selections are that much more valuable.
Unfortunately, some sports teams always seem to get it wrong when it comes to the draft. Today we look at the 10 worst drafting teams in sports. And a big shoutout to Steele Anderson for suggesting this video!

The Raiders Drafted Derek Carr and Kahil Mack In 2014 and Cooper in 2015. But yes. Before 2014 they were Awful with their drafting.

I know, but a lot of their players that they have had were not draft except Dwyane wade, and i was saying i dont agree with TPS about justise winslow, he is a beast
So because Justice Winslow isn't a godlike shooter he looks like a bust? He is already one of the best on-ball defenders in the NBA. Shame he got injured though.

10. Patriots (Were Good Past Decade or so, but lets see if they remain consistent when Tom Brady retires)
9.Denver Broncos (Over the years if you look back they had either really good players or really bad, no in between)
8. San Diego Chargers (Before you go gawkin about this, just think about how many Hall of famers they drafted 2001-2007)
7. Atlanta Falcons (Same with the Broncos, they either had really good or really bad picks)
6. Jacksonville Jaguars (Yes, they suck now but in the 90s they had one of the best scouts EVER)
5. Chicago Bears (Probably busts outweigh the superstars, but the superstars are really good superstars, and I mean really good)9
4. Dallas Cowboys (Over the years remain very consistent)
3. Green Bay Packers (They had a lot of good picks they weren't expecting to be good)
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (Many Legendary picks even if they are an old team)

How are the Eagles aren't on here? As an Eagles fan we suck at drafting we took Nelson Agohlor over Landon Collins and Bud Dupree in 2016 draft. We took Marcus Smith over Kelvin Benjamin in 2013 draft. We took Danny Watkins over Muhammad Wilkerson, Randoll Cobb, and Mark Ingram. In my opinion the Eagles suck at drafting.

Dallas Mavericks. They haven't had a noteworthy draft pick in well over a decade. For years, they have completely ignored the draft, trading picks for aging veterans. The worst incident was when they traded down in the 2013 draft to clear less than 1M in cap space just to make a run at signing Dwight Howard (whom they obviously didn't get) and in the process missed out on Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Edmonton Oilers are awful at drafting. So many first overall picks and just early picks in general. Sure, RNH and Eberle are good, but the team had little success until Connor McJesus came around, and anyone in the right mind would have picked him first too.
Not counting the last 5-6 seasons, I'd put the Leafs on this list. They made some poor decisions on high draft picks in their history, particularly in 1989 when they had 3 first round picks and blew them all on three players from the Belleville Bulls (none of which panned out).

How can you say Justise Winslow is a bust? He's one of the best defensive players in the NBA. That's like saying Kawhi Leonard was a bust in his second year. The heat just drafted Josh Richardson who was a second round steal, the reason it looks like they suck at drafting is because they are never really in the lottery, their only bad pick was Michael Beasley.

Really, the Canadiens are one of the top 10 worst teams at drafting? I like the leafs so bias aside I would strongly disagree. Price 5th overall and arguably the nhl's best current player. Rarely is a goalie drafted in the top ten or even first round! Let's not forget Norris winner PK subban in the second round, pacioretty in the late first round, galchenyuk, Gallagher. They also drafted Ryan McDonough in first round who is currently the New York rangers captain and has been to the cup finals. If we turn back the clock we would realize the habs drafted one of the best and longest serving NHL defence men ever in the second round in Chris chelios that played a major role in the Detroit red wings dynasty.
