I’m such a huge fan of multigenerational living and building community. This family compound is a fantastic example of that. Coming together, pooling resources and supporting one another. It’s a beautiful thing. We hope you enjoy this tour! With love, Bryce & Rasa
My mom kept saying she wants a family compound and I kept telling her it sounds like she wants to start a cult. This was when I was 18 but now I’m 35 and raising my son on my own and a family compound sounds great now. 😅 lovely home!!!
My Mom, two younger brothers and I purchased 10 acres in 1987. We bought used mobile homes and spread around a 1/4 mile drive. Precious time spent here with family and friends. Lost my baby brother in 2002, we framed houses together, we took our families on vacation together, church, fishing, camping, Disney World, before they lost their minds...he was my best friend and without our family property, I wouldn't have had all that precious time we did spend together.
Thank you for bringing us to such a lovely and spiritual place. Thanks to this wonderful couple for sharing how families can and do come together for one another. This tiny house gives off such a peaceful and creative vibe. Does that even make sense? It very much comes off as a healing place. Thank you again for sharing this inspirational couple with us.
At the end of this video I just cried. I gave up everything to take care of my mom that had dementia. I had 2 years left with her (doctors said 6 months.) She lived in a very small, cute duplex in Alhambra, CA. We all adjusted, and I left that experience being very proud of that sacrifice. Yes, I am a believer in multi-generational living when that time comes. Thank you for sharing, and thank you family for doing this for your mother. Only good will come to you, Be Blessed!!!!!
One of your deepest and most sensitive shows. It brought me into tears. God bless the family for what they are doing for their mom. Love, Bryce. A nice one!
This brought tears to my eyes. Both my parents had dementia. I hope this lovely family can make great memories with their Mum. It will help so much for them to remember the happy times. I wish them all the best from Canada.
Byrce this and several videos that you made recently have it home. Please continue to give a voice to the importance of family. I'm 60, sick, with 2 adult children who do not care. Blessings in all you do 🙏🏻. As a side note, I am indoor plant lover and often wonder who will take care of them when can no longer do so. Wish I could shipped all to and your lovely wife. Peace.
The last scenes made me cry. How lovely she speaks about taking care of her mother....These are the things that truly matter, a heartwarming way of being there for one another. And besides that: A really lovely home. Thank you for the video and greetings from Germany 😊 ...and Bryce, I wrote my comment before finishing the Video. And now I heard, what your comment about this Tour was and it is excactly what I'm thinking and was not able to put it in such good words 🥰
This is above everything else, a heartwarming story. The close family unit, the loving look in dad's eyes at the beginning montage looking at mom, the carefree kids playing in the garden, the fact that mom can recognize Bryce face, voice and that last part where they held mom's hands and bringing her into the Tiny for movie night... It's like out of a feel good movie, only this is real life. Im so deeply touched. ❤
I was deeply touched, as well. What a reminder of what family CAN be. My own father put my dear mom in a nursing home, wrangled his way into getting power-of-attorney over her life and medical care, and it broke her heart. She was of sound mind when she passed, her death only hastened due to his decisions. When she developed complications following surgery, he got a “Do-not-Revive” order put on her. When she went into respiratory failure, I had to threaten legal action against the hospital in order for her to receive life-saving assistance. My father and I were estranged for a long time due to that incident, but my mom lived four more years. She always wanted to live, no matter what the circumstances, and it was only when her own body failed her that she let herself slip away. I will always love her deeply, but even more, I will always admire her as the fierce warrior she was, as she saw each day as a precious gift. I so wish all families could treasure each moment with their loved ones as this one does. They have managed to carve out meaningful lives for themselves and each other. This short film made me bawl out loud for what could have been.🌻
This is AWESOME. this episode touched my heart specially because my mother also had Alzheimer's 😔💔 it is so important to be with our loved ones in these moments! I hope they can manage to keep mom with them until the end! My mom had assistance here, at home, 2 of my brothers helped me in caring for her. She passed here, at home, where she wanted to be 🙏🏻. The mind and body deteriorate but the spirit is aware! All my best wishes for this family 🙏🏻 Thank you Rasa and Bryce for the amazing videos and stories you tell 🌷
Thank you for your lovely comment. I'm sorry to hear about your Mums passing, but I'm so glad you and your family were able to care for her and keep her home. Wishing you all the best!
I hope so too, with a little support from outside, such is doable… and if they’d look into natural holistic healing and nutrition, it could better each of their lives a ton.
I went through the same situation with my Mum: my Dad and I cared for her at home and she thrived being able to have what was familiar to her around her all the time. Our house happens to be a large one but I found that caring for an Alzheimer's patient required the use of a only a few rooms - the space of a tiny house like this one, in fact! You are a good soul, friend, and your Mum's spirit will always be around you!
This video was quite profound. It touched on freedom of living as well as freedom of consciousness, which are two intertwined ideas that you don't often see presented together. Thank you for showing that what some might consider 'alternative' is really quite sane and is gradually becoming the norm.
My sister and I have said for years that we want to have a family compound. I love seeing another family who has done it. This episode brought tears to my eyes. I love this family. Great job Bryce and Rasa!
There was a special touch of love with this video not least of which was the connection of Holly's Mum having watched Living Big in a Tiny House so often with Holly and Charles. It was like having come full circle. Thanks for sharing.
Although I don’t live in a tiny home…. I moved back home to help my mom with my dad Who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Also my daughter and her husband have moved in and are helping. They both have jobs where they work from home so they’re here to help me with my parents/the yard etc.while they save for a home of their own one day. And my other daughter and her fiancé live close by and are over often helping. It helps that we live in a split level house… Having three levels and two family rooms has given everyone ample space while still being together helping each other. Multi generational living can be a beautiful thing…. Especially during these times. LOVE this one Bryce …. It hit home 🏡 ❤️
This home is so bright and cheery, topped off with a lot of love for family. Like the compound idea. I think its great. These two are very special people!
Wonderful family, wonderful home, and Holly and Charles both seem like very interesting people (coding art? Intelligence? Where's the movie?!) A very heartwarming episode about a family coming together.
I'm with her...I love that green/teal and the bed linens in that delicate yellow makes me swoon. I think if it were my home I would have toned the stark white walls with a gentle whisper of that green she loves. Or even a whisper of the yellow. Anything other than just white and things would have still popped and looked fresh. It would also have helped bring nature indoors too. Great job. My heart goes out to you about mom. I wasn't anywhere near her when she required the most care, the last ten yrs of that insidious disease. Good you found a solution. My prayers are with you. NAMASTE 🙏
I loved this colourful tiny home.... But I am in love with the people! They moved me to tears! To take such care of loved ones and especially your parents is very special. It seems as if Bryce was touched as well. Thank you for sharing.
This story brought me to tears. The tiny house is beautiful and full of light and charm. Holly will treasure forever this time with her mom. How wonderful for them to be present on this journey, near, and yet with a bit of privacy to sustain their relationship as a couple. What a perfect solution for all at this time. Blessings to this dear family.
Omg at 18:40 ( or so ) when she begins to talk about her mom and the connection between watching the show , is absolutely so beautiful!!!! I was chocked up. What a beautiful beautiful family ❤ 🏠 🧑 ❤️
awesome family and a gorgeouse ting home great solution to helping her dad with mom how kind . love the colors through out isnt it pretty , the copper tapes in kitchen and bath are awesome everything flows , nice blend of the colors, everything so well thought out. Lots of storage and I agree most can live without alot of what they own which takes up space . I love this tiny . what an awesome couple . Alzhiemers is such a sad disease. so happy they can be there for mom.
This video taught me how much more convenient tiny homes can be. People really don’t need alot of space in their homes to have everything you need. Your dream home doesn’t have to be a mansion, it could very much be a tiny home. Living in a portable home in a portable tiny home is very convenient for multiple occupations. Lastly I strongly admire the community you join when you buy a tiny home, because it seems so welcoming.
I have been talking about a family compound for 3-4 years. Especially with the price of homes everywhere it just makes sense! The support and community would be amazing.❤
Unique couple. Unique careers. Unique tiny house. Beautifully built, carefully designed, and a joy to look at. Love the wall sconce lighting! Not common in tiny house design. One of your most interesting shows, Bryce. Congrats all 'round!
Love this home! So light and airy. The touches of green are very lovely. My father is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s. Thankful my sister and I live near him. Bless all of you for coming together for both of your parents!❤
Another wonderful tiny home. The pretty tiles on the staircase make the home so special and colorful. What a caring couple looking after their parents. Bless you
Truly caring and loving family. I'm from India. My father was heart patient so we too were fortunate enough to take care of him. Our love and respect to this family. Bryce u did a great job of putting this vdo
his tiny hose is a convenient and efficient tool for various tasks. Its compact size doesn't compromise on its ability to deliver strong and precise water flow, making it a versatile and indispensable accessory. 💧🌱
Phenomenal kitchen, and the countertops! Bathroom is very well designed, and just the layout of the whole home. Thanks for another amazing shoot Bryce and Rasa!
Wonderful tiny home & such a great couple. As I nurse, I made a promise to my dad before he died & a conscious decision to become the caregiver for my mom in her later years. As difficult as it was many times, the rewards were incomparable. I learned more about my mom & myself & wouldn't have traded the experience in any way. I've been researching Tiny Houses for over a decade with the ultimate goal of building my own. Looking forward to finally getting this started soon. Community is key. Finding the right place to call home depends as much on having the best neighbors and a diverse, caring, cohesive community.
What a great story. Their home is lovely, but what it is allowing them to do for their mother, and the life that it is allowing their mother to have for as long as they can, is really a wonderful thing.
Bryce & Rasa, this is such a lovely job of presenting one family's solution to such a critical issue combined with the use of tiny houses to facilitate that. Holly & Charles have made a beautiful home for themselves, and the fact that they are able to do that while making such profound changes in their lives gives hope to the rest of us - regardless of the sorts of challenges we face. We can see that it is possible to adapt to responsibilities that we never knew we would need to without becoming swallowed up by them, to embrace lifestyle changes that are needed to support the planet, the community, the family, and each other without losing each other in the process, and to do this with beauty, comfort, and future thinking. I am so impressed. For those of us who are also trying to provide a safe and happy home for someone with rather expansive needs, this video is a wonderful touchstone to return to again and again. Holly, I will be checking out your work in far more detail; and Charles, I am eager to see what your artwork is and what it becomes. There is an emotional quality to this video that I do not often see in your work, Rasa & Bryce. Perhaps it is the skill in filming and editing - with the images reflecting exactly what the words were saying - that has a flavour to me that is impactful, sweetly happy, and at the same time a little melancholy - and perhaps it was in the summary where your expression seemed so heartfelt, Bryce. The two of you captured something very, very special here. I am not discounting the content, which is exceptional as I have said above, it is in addition to that. Thank you for both your work and your investment in doing it honestly and well. That keeps me coming back and will continue to do so.
Bryce & Rasa, you have the absolute best job! This tiny is so colorful and beautiful, and you always win with natural light! It's so wonderful they can live multigenerational and be there for mom, how wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing.
I can't believe it has been around 8 years since following your channel,Bryce..On my side still dreaming though. Amazing homes, amazing life styles. They have thought me more than a tiny home itself..Thank you!
I know! It's hard to believe it was 10 years ago that I started this channel. The time has just flown by, but what an amazing journey we have been on and how many wonderful people we have got to meet!
Somebody asked me the other day how long I'd been a subscriber, and I said, "Oh, a couple of years." Then I thought about it, and it's actually been 7 years!! The days drag on, and the years fly by!
A couple who turned their lives turned round to support family. Such a touching story that seemed to have got to you too, Bryce, in your summing up. Holly's Mum seems such a sweet lady. As to the tiny, it's colourful, bright and spacious. Perfect for your needs/lifestyle. Love your 'curious' art, Charles.
I’m so grateful for your show and the incredible impact it has made in the world. I hope you feel, and can own, the true gift of love that your work offers. It was lovely to hear how this family captured memories for their mother and that you could experience first hand their gratitude and joy. Deep bow, Bryce.
Hi Holly & Charles: I love your tiny house, with its pop of colors through the variegated tiled stairs, the wonderful art creations by Charles, and all of the light shining through the windows. Green is one of my favorite colors too, so I especially love your green touches. How lovely that you can help your Dad with caregiving your Mom. She seems happy to be surrounded by her loving family and that's quite a blessing for you all! Jenny p.s. I also really liked your tee shirt "Into the Forest I Go, to Lose My Mind and Find My Soul," so I ordered one myself!
Multi generational living definitely has its appeal. Because everyone still has their own space to do their own thing. While remaining connected & close.❤
Such a beautiful tiny home, and really lovely that Holly is able to be with her family and support her mother during this time. Tiny homes have added so many important things to the lives of so many, and I give thanks to Jay Shafer for having come up with the idea of his Tumbleweed! I've been following tiny homes since his first tiny was on the cover of Natural Home magazine in 2000, and Bryce, you have done a brilliant job of holding the torch and keeping this movement building and growing over all the years since you've been sharing tiny house living. You and Rasa are doing such a beautiful job! Thank you for holding the energy in such a massive way for the tiny house movement over many years.
What a neat opportunity tiny house living offers during this time in their lives. I have a Separett brand composting toilet in my tiny house so if they want to ask real users before buying their next toilet for the tiny, happy to share! And I also love to encourage others to read Dr. Sue’s book “The Energy Codes” for healing of all kinds. Blessings to you all!❤
This was such a special and precious episode as well as the same for their home and setting. Beautifully poignantly presented and love and kindness absolutely abound there ❤❤❤
Beautiful people and beautiful house. Thank you for sharing such a moving and inspiring story. It really shows that houses are not just sticks and glass.
How amazing that the family can be together to care for the mother. My family didn’t have opportunity when we were losing my mom to Alzheimers. This family is blessed and are wonderful for doing this for each other. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing this with us.
This is the first video in the series that I actually teared up at the end. That was beautiful what Bryce said at the end while I had Holly's mom in mind.
I couldn't agree more. Our loved ones are truly the most important thing in our lives. And this cosy little house is just perfect for keeping us connected to family.
Thank you Bryce & Rasa! Your talent & hard work helped people all over the world start a new, much improved way of life, but also made us all feel connected as part of a huge lovely family ❤ The family staring in this video simply warmed my heart.
This video moved me, I confess that I also shed a few tears. Being close to mom to give her support and love is absolutely wonderful. The house is beautiful, I like the simplicity and the sense of space. I too have been "obsessed" with tiny houses for many years, your videos have convinced me even more that this is my future. I won't be happy until I have one for myself! Thank you Bryce and Rasa!!💞
I’m such a huge fan of multigenerational living and building community. This family compound is a fantastic example of that. Coming together, pooling resources and supporting one another. It’s a beautiful thing. We hope you enjoy this tour! With love, Bryce & Rasa
💐 you two are great spirits, thank you 🌷🌷
First irresponsible video you have shown.
How is this irresponsible?
Yes, this is such an important part of life! Multigenerational existence… community support.
Ya....IF ones family can get along and teuly loves you...😫😒😪
😢😢 when mom comes over and your voice comforts her.
My mom kept saying she wants a family compound and I kept telling her it sounds like she wants to start a cult. This was when I was 18 but now I’m 35 and raising my son on my own and a family compound sounds great now. 😅 lovely home!!!
😂 Family compound does sound a bit like a cult. But yeah! The concept works on so many levels!
I'm 36 and I would love that!! My mom and sister live in same building and I wish we could all build a tiny home community!

A nice one!
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏🏼
This brought tears to my eyes. Both my parents had dementia. I hope this lovely family can make great memories with their Mum. It will help so much for them to remember the happy times. I wish them all the best from Canada.
The world needs more people to give back in anyway, in this case a community home, to those that took care of us.
Byrce this and several videos that you made recently have it home. Please continue to give a voice to the importance of family. I'm 60, sick, with 2 adult children who do not care. Dang, ladder inside the bay window is such a great space saving design idea
Pretty clever how it's tucked in there!
May be my favorite part of it all.
I'm not crying. You're crying. Lol. What a beautiful story about how profoundly valuable and precious community is.
Ahaha, I'm glad I'm not the only one getting caught off guard by those pesky invisible ninja's who are probably cutting onions again.
This house is a great example of how white or bright interiors do make spaces seem much bigger than they are. Amazing project! ♥
Love the colorful tiles.
@@janmay3901 me too! They are beautiful!
@@janmay3901 Me too! That was the first thing I noticed when the camera took us inside! LOVED that touch!
A beautiful home & a lovely couple living in a wonderful family environment. I love the design and colours. Sending much love & light.

Bryce, every one of your videos is special, but this one is especially special. ❤
Beyond the awesome tiny homes, Bryce, you are so kind and gentle the way you interact with people.
The idea of getting rid of household things you never use and moving into a tiny with only what you need is very liberating.
Wonderful to see mom so happy! Good on this family for these choices. 👍😎🇨🇦🙏🌸💚

Phenomenal kitchen, and the countertops! Bathroom is very well designed, and just the layout of the whole home. Thanks for another amazing shoot Bryce and Rasa!
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching. :)
So gorgeous!
Such a lovely home, for such a beautiful reason, family are everything, I could hear the emotion in your voice Bryce whilst summing it up ❤🇬🇧
Beautiful tiny home, I like the fact that she has her mother with her. I miss my mother, my mother passed away a year ago this past July 3rd.
Fantastic job...especially the stairs!
Absolutely loved this episode.
How wonderful of them to provide such loving care for her mom. Their home is beautiful, and special and full of love. ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words Jenny! I appreciate you! Stoked you’ve bought one of the shirts too 😁😁😁
@@Holly-rb2jc You're welcome--Have a great weekend! 🐦🥀🐝
Multi generational living definitely has its appeal. Because everyone still has their own space to do their own thing. While remaining connected & close.❤
That programmed art is absolutely breathtaking! EDIT: Darnit! It looks like his website is down/gone.
Such a beautiful tiny home, and really lovely that Holly is able to be with her family and support her mother during this time. Tiny homes have added so many important things to the lives of so many, and I give thanks to Jay Shafer for having come up with the idea of his Tumbleweed! I've been following tiny homes since his first tiny was on the cover of Natural Home magazine in 2000, and Bryce, you have done a brilliant job of holding the torch and keeping this movement building and growing over all the years since you've been sharing
tiny house living. You and Rasa are doing such a beautiful job! Thank you for holding the energy in such a massive way for the tiny house movement over many years.
THIS VID IS SUPER SPECIAL IN SO MANY WAYS, UK
What a neat opportunity tiny house living offers during this time in their lives. I have a Separett brand composting toilet in my tiny house so if they want to ask real users before buying their next toilet for the tiny, happy to share! And I also love to encourage others to read Dr. Sue’s book “The Energy Codes” for healing of all kinds. Blessings to you all!❤
Lovely couple, lovely home.
Lovely couple and home.
Beautiful. I love her T shirt too.
This was such a special and precious episode as well as the same for their home and setting. Beautifully poignantly presented and love and kindness absolutely abound there ❤❤❤
this episode made me cry
All the Best to this beautiful family in Love.
Beautiful home and story.
Wonderful
I loved that you showed that artwork, and clips of the plant ceremony. What a lovely couple.
Your kind words touch our hearts, thank you! 🙏🏼
This is the first video in the series that I actually teared up at the end. That was beautiful what Bryce said at the end while I had Holly's mom in mind.
Beautiful tiny home, beautiful love story. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are so welcome!
This is a great tiny home. I love how light and bright it is. The colors. The deck. Simplicity is so calming for me.
You and Rasa have touched so many people's lives. How special was it when Holly mentioned her mother's association with your program. Heart warming.
This house is elegant and cheerful. More importantly, it is obviously a crucial space for family. What a lovely story. Thank you, Bryce and Rasa!
