A while back I wanted to run a Hexblade who had this buddy cop dynamic with their sword, talked to the DM about it, they said it sounded like a blast. 2 sessions in, while in the middle of combat, the sword goes "Hey, cut off one of your arms or I'll take away your powers and everyone dies"... needless to say that character did not last long
I mean, the 6th level hexblade ability really doesn't say "nice person"--it's basically keeping a soul in torment while you use them to kill their friends. That said, I let my hexblade have a relatively chill relationship with their patron, but their patron doesn't really understand things that don't involve violence very well.

This game is absolutely stunning and so much fun. When I first played it I was unnerved by sword boyfriend talking to me through my controller. The more I progressed through the game I relied and even enjoyed my sword boyfriends voice in my controller. More games should have a sword partner talking to you through your controller. Also id love to see a playthrough of this with you and Cory. You can get more eyes on this hidden masterpiece
Supergiant games are always such a fun time. Hadn't considered the Sorlock Trance of Order combo before. Goes to show that even after over 500 builds can still be surprised. Is good to see a Walock pact that has your best interests in mind and is supportive

Becoming a robot legion hunter out of the cold of a night isnt a easy task, but just like Tangle the lemur (who would make a good build Sir Tulok, please?) inexperience and fear cant keep us down, we must act so we can reach a better tomorrow every day. Red was your average famous performer in Cloudbank, but after a failed assassination attempt by the organization called The Camerata left her with no voice or lover, but with The transistor, a weapon inhabited by Unknown, both will form a partnership to face The Process and hopefully figure why they are part of this dangerous game.

Just discovered the channel, I love making builds around popular characters. After watching a few videos, one critique I have is that it feels like a lot of them end up Hexblade... probably due to a lot of protagonists needing to be able to melee and cast on the same build. I would love to see more gish protag builds without Hexblade!
How to build the spot in dnd(both forms but u can see the aura around the black form as like tentacles like in pride for extra attacking usage) preferably with a barebones dnd beyond account, nothing bought

You could honestly go with either the novel or the movie, but at the end of the novel things get a little extra spice and Lincoln is revealed to have been made into a Vampire (a fate he rejected in the movie adaptation).
Cool build! I've never played Transistor, but it looks fun. Forgot Clockwork Soul Sorcerer existed; it always felt more of a Warlock lawful construct patron to me.
You know when you put it that way it kind of does. I was working with my DM on figuring out how to make mechanus as a lock patron as they were already a clockwork soul so it made sense. Then I found a homebrew witch, and well her "grandmother" was the baba yaga so I went with that.
A wonderful game and a really cool build overall! I loved this game so much and its so cool seeing it be given so much love. Would love to see D&D build of Supergiant's first game MC the Kid from Bastion. And possibly the Nightwings by chance maybe from Pyre. But Kid will be the easiest for sure to make a proper build for him.
My guy, he's made over 500 episodes on 5e, and probably has a backlog for the rest of the year on 5e. Even if he wanted to move away from 5e, he'd need to learn a whole new system. Give him time.

Oh God, that's awful. Yeah, I like friendlier pacts as well. The most antagonist one I've done as a DM was just the dude being annoying lol.

Venom in the movie is a fun way to have a pact. You need but don't but do need eachother.
