I like the addition of the step where you talk about why you chose NOT to go a certain way.
You notice he skipped that step when he built Frodo to have advantage on his willpower/ Wisdom saves. :P
@@matthill5426 He didn't have to Willpower is what got frodo to mount doom in the first place
@@DawnofRoxas101 Noooooo, *Sam* is what got Frodo to Mount Doom in the first place. Frodo failed that saving throw too. :P
@@matthill5426 yeah but the ring is constantly throwing out saving throws thats its whole deal so the fact that he only failed a handful is impressive
It's like when Eminem dissed himself in 8 Mile. He's just getting ahead of the haters lol
Hearing about youtube demonetizing over "Dick Grayson" 1) is real dumb and 2) just makes me think of the time I saw him referred to as "Schlong Grayson"
Prediction: Some Sort Of Aasimar Divine Soul Sorcerer.
Someone better answer that phone...because ya fuckin' CALLED IT! lol
@@yaburu I understood that reference
@@theguy8474 I'm to the point where I make TFS references without even thinking about it lol.
“You could end up being slayed.”
Hey, did you know that Slade is a Teen Titans villain? What a cool and completely unintentional pun.
(Please don’t throw any *shade* at me for this joke.)
And before anyone comes in here to “ackchyually” me, I know that Slade Wilson is his real name, and Deathstroke is his villain name.
@@kingdomkey01 but ackchyually, Deadpool is a direct rip-off of Deathstroke.
@@matthill5426 Wait, you’re telling me that Wade Wilson, the nigh immortal mercenary, is a ripoff of Slade Wilson, the nigh immortal mercenary?
@@kingdomkey01 whoulda thunk?
Starbolts? Where I come from we call them ELDRITCH BLASTS!
Personaly I think there should have been a dip into Warlock for get Eldritch Blast as it does seem more like her starbolts at lest from the old Teen Titens cartoon.
Idk maybe he is saving for darkfire and make an evil version of the build
I think he wanted to Keep Starfire's Bolts as Radiant Damage, and he wanted to get the Big badaboom Sunburst she Got at lv 15, which Walocks can't get... And Yes, That's Exactly the Kind of Power that Starfire can do in Comics, she Almost Roasted a Whole Planet when she Got Pissed at her Sister once just from going Nova...
Plus Like this she has a Reason to go into Melee Range and Punch stuff, like say when an opponent seems to have Stupid High Dex Saves to get out the way of Sacred Flames(Which in turn Work Really well on Jackasses in cans with Low Dex but High AC)
No one better be a RICHARD GRAYSON in the comments, or True Strike will never go away.
I would have liked but changing the number would be a real Richard Grayson move
Don't be a freakin' Nightwing, guys.
On one hand, I want those types of comments and mindsets to stop
On the other, I enjoy the True Strike shade/sass in the videos.
well played
Does anyone else think it would be cool if Tulok reviewed the teams he's finished building and talked about whether or not they would make a good party? I thought of that while I was watching this one and now it's just bouncing around in my head.
I for one really enjoy the "why I didn't go this route" segments.
Finally the teen titans are complete! But I have been staying up all night like an insomniac thinking about how much we need a build for Anderson Cooper. This can't drag on much longer....
Night and some sort of dragon. Probably Toothless and Hiccup from how to train your dragon
You never fail to inspire. Oh, and it’s a double hint this time, cool!
@@phantafalconpunch Considering the hint also has insomniac in it, he's likely hinting towards Spyro
@@phantafalconpunch or Spyro the dragon.
@@Exxel91 spyro would be cool to, and I would prefer it since I'm not the biggest fan of How to Train Your Dragon. Maybe a dragon born with 17 levels in a casting class so that you can get true polymorph, hold concentration on it and be a dragon perminantly. He shoots fire so maybe a gold dragon even though he's purple?
"Hey did you know there's a villain named Slade?" *Tulok tearing his hair out*
Fighter/Sorcerer is such an underrated combo. I always love seeing it in builds. Great job!
So interesting enough you actually CAN add your radiant soul damage to a Sacred Flame since it specified 'spell or attack'-- Though honestly you're probably better off adding it to something that'll actually hit. Havent watched the full video yet but I'm loving the build and I love YOU, Tulok.
Starfire has always been my favourite Teen Titans character and one of my favourite fictional characters in general. This video was well worth the wait.
I loved the emphasis on RICHARD Grayson at 3:56
Tulok getting a little snippy this episode, ya'll need to be nicer and more supportive and understanding in the comments. Dude just got done churning out 30builds in 1 month, he needs some love.
I thought the December Build-a-thon was amazing! He didn't have to do that, but he did. And I appreciate it. And who keeps getting angry at these builds? I wanna know!
You know what? I am going to be the third Constant Requester. Miss Frizzle build, pretty please! She's amazing and deserves all the love in the world.
4:40 plate armour with a bare midriff

Do you mean half plate
Would saying breastplate demonitize the video? You know, cause breast?
@@nicolasvillasecaali7662 isn't there a barbarian subclass that's all about wearing spiky armor that kills your enemy
Group of teenagers face villains on a weekly basis with a second series that is polarizing.... wait, this is Avatar!
Uncle Iroh build please.
I still want Sokka

You. I like you. I cannot join your crusade, for I have made my own in the name of The Monkey King. But, I enjoy what you do, my friend. Continue your quest for the Dragon of the West, I'll continue mine for the monkey from Journey to the West
@@hydrastuff8029 THE Sun Wukong, or one of its many incarnations? We need those clones and transformations, also flight.
Me watching a comic book character build: I get that reference!
Tulok: let me explain...
Oh good. I wanted a character who can learn any language by *kissy kissy.*
Oh, flying and Starbolts are cool too.
3:16 missed opportunity for Martian Manchild
Potential feat options for that 4th Fighter level, for folks who don't want to do the simple Strength buff:
- Crusher: Bonus push on successful bludgeoning attacks, and use that Improved Critical to make the target grant advantage to all attackers until your next turn, including all followup punches and non-save laserbeams.
- Elemental Adept (Radiant): Ignore any radiant resistance you're faced with, and treat radiant damage rolls of 1 as a 2 instead. Now not even your sister can stand up your your sun lasers!
- Mage Slayer: A neat bag of tricks that allows Starfire to punch people trying to laser beam her. Take THAT, dear sister!
Some honorable mentions: Charger, Grappler, Inspiring Leader, Mobile, Spell Sniper, Tough, War Caster
Hell Yeah! Starfire is one of my favorite characters in the series!
Woo, Star lasers are always fun. Thanks for making Starfire, been waiting forever for this one
I love this channel sooo much it has quickly become one of my favorites with Tulok's energy and the way he addresses all the negative comments but still laughs it off is such a positive and rare thing to find on youtube these day
Tulok your December marathon was the best surprise of 2020. You create great content and a great community, and you are appreciated.
All that said, please build Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima! It would be a perfect excuse for you to play the best game of 2020, if you haven't already
Teen Titans complete! Now Tulok can move onto something even cooler like the Samurai Pizza Cats!
Watching the background in this video makes me really want to see a build for Bane
Damnit Tulok, I'm now picturing Verne Troyer playing the role of Mini-Martian Manhunter. I blame you for this.
Tulok makes jokes? Is that why I am doing the uncontrollable exhaling of the air.
Finally we have them all now I just need to find other players
Dude im in if you are in. Now we need 3 other players and a dm that will alow shenanigans of TITANic proportions
I'm down
It was Awesome when you explained why you didn't make certain choices! Way to go Garl!
This is so cool! She's one of my all-time favorites. :)
2:20 "Tameran must be close to Krypton. You have wildly similar abilities to the big blue boyscout."
That's why Robin+Starfire as a ship is essentially Batman+Superman except straight and canon.
You know I'm right!
Been waiting for this one for a while.
Its hard making a living nuke work in a team based game and you did it!
Happy New Year man!
I'm glad you're still on the video grind for the new year. I'm curious. With "Godzilla vs. Kong" possibly coming up in May, do you know if you'll be doing any Kaiju based builds in the near future? I know "near immortal giant lizard that breaths fire" is kind of hard to do in D&D, but I have faith in what you could come up with!
Also the video title "How to Play Godzilla in Dungeons and Dragons" would send me into a hype-based coma.
This was an awesome build! On teeny-tiny change I would have made was magic initiate to go into warlock. Yeah, Sacred Flame is good, but Eldritch Blast is better. I just would have gotten prestidigitation for the other cantrip and the spell would never be used.
2 years late but, if all you want from magic initiate is Eldritch Blast maybe take the Spell Sniper Feat instead. Double Range and ignoring less than full cover is way more useful than prestidigitation, especially if you're not going to use it.
I enjoy your build episodes, as it gives me a better glimpse of what is possible in dnd. Would love to see a Lando Calrissian build(this build has been bothering me for a little while and I can't fully figure it out on my own)
"Today we're building Starfire from the Teen Titans, which is not gonna be a Stars Druid build! Just because it might make sense, doesn't mean it's the most optimal way to do this."
I feel like that's what he would say if that was something people expect of him.
I have a challenge for you Tulok: "How to Play Xavier in Dungeons and Dragons (Xavier Renegade Angel Build for D&D 5e)"
I've been anticipating this one! Raven is my favorite Teen Titan, but Starfire is a close second. My DM doesn't like Warlocks, though, so now I have a backup plan for a superhero campaign.
The minute I saw the Fighter level, I knew Tulok would go Sorcerer/Fighter and I love it
Really appreciate the direction with this! Speaking of completing groups I think Dante from the Devil May Cry™ series could use some demon hunting partners!
The day this channel makes a Sauron build is the day I subscribe
"Monk is NOT a bad class"
Treantmonk disliked that.
Yup 🤣
Thank you...need her for my game...
I actually came into this thinking you were going to go into Twilight Cleric for her, but this makes a lot of sense
I would love for you to choose the build for a week. Get real niche with it
"...you could end up being slayed."
Did you know that there is a villain named Slade? It sounds the same.
:p
You outro joke was excellent! Speaking of Deathstroke, I'm curious how you would create Slade.
Given his general proficiencies, I'd say it'd be a Fighter and Armorer Artificer mix. Unarmed Fighting would be the fighting style as despite the fact that he can use basically every weapon under the sun he still ends up punching a lot. If you want him more ninja and less martial you could add Assassin Rogue - eleven levels of which would get you Reliable Talent which functionally negates the stealth penalty you get from heavy armor. Seventeen levels of Assassin Rogue gives you a potential one-hit kill, which does seem in character. That being said, the Infiltrator Armor from your Artificer levels already negates the stealth disadvantage.
If I were to make the build it would go something like: 2 or 3 levels of Fighter (choosing Champion or Battlemaster as the sub-class), 9 levels of Artificer (which gives you 3rd levels spells such as Haste), and 8 or 9 levels of Rogue (for stealth and sneak attack, though the 9th level also gives you Infiltration Expertise - very in character). There's a solid argument to be made to drop the Fighter levels and simply go Armorer 9/Assassin 11 as that would give you Reliable Talent at the cost of the weapon proficiencies (and Action Surge and Second Wind) from Fighter.
@@caeligocielo5634 Thank you friend. I appreciate your thoughts on this build.

WOW that takes me back!!!
Oh hey, another DC build. Time to watch Tulok get his ass kicked in Injustice in the b-roll.
Awesome! Humbly suggesting Black Canary next :)
I actually really enjoy when you politely "no shit" the audience ! Keep it up tulok
This build is of the awesome!
love to see you do Brother Santodes from If The Emperor Had a Text-To-Speech Device
Episode #253 of the Fire Emblem stats: Koriand'r.
She has strengths in three areas: brawling, faith, and flight. Her only weakness is in authority because her odd way of speaking is pretty difficult for most people to understand.
Both of her offensive stats and speed are great and her only relatively bad stat is in resistance.
"yeah, that's why I made the reference." crackin me up
Great videos man keep up the good work also day two of asking for spike spiegel 😎
Great video as usual dude.
That said, for people interested in playing a charater who feels like a z-warrior type of charater and not trying to replicate every exact thing a character has ever done I think punching good and taking punishment is probably way more improtant to making a z warrior type of character even more so then the blasting. like pick up eldritch blast, figure out how to fly and focus on your unarmed attacks. If you want to play as a character who is like a Z warrior having good unarmed fighting and a single reliable blasting attack is way more improtant then having a spell that replicates every blast/technique they have ever done in their series. You'll feel more like goku with a high level monk or fighter that has at least 3rd level spells from some spell casting class then you would with one of these builds even if that means losing out on one off techniques like your spirit bombs or distructo discs.
I like scourge aasimar, so I'd have picked that instead. Permanent flying thanks to soul sorc makes protector aas unnecessary. It's always fun watching these videos, thank you for making them!
You don't need to use ki points to use radiant sun bolts unless you want to fire two as a bonus action as an alternative to Flurry of Blows. Otherwise, it's basically a ranged spell attack that runs off your STR/DEX. WHichever you use for Martial Arts.
As of rewatching My Hero Academia season 4, I wanted to find out a way to play Overhaul.
Watch out for that Detroit Smash-and DON'T let a little girl with a reversing Quirk climb on top of the guy playing Deku!
@@MegaPokefan97 Yeah, but pulling the stuff he did during his final fight with Deku requires some SERIOUS magic. Sorcerer?
I love the tongues joke!
Love the build! If you could try and make Zagreus from Hades that'd be sweet!
You also need to complete the builds to the other Sailor Scouts.
And maybe cover the whole series. His Moon build was so limited.
If you are taking RUclips requests I am petitioning for the inclusion of Kool-aid Man for a character build. The way he enters buildings has strong deus vult vibes
Thanks for including that blurb about monk. It's tiresome to see people insist monk is a bad class because they dont excel in raw damage.
I'm sorry, they think the class that can attack 4 times in a round by level 5, can Stun with every attack at that same level, ignores fall damage, can move like The Flash, gets Evasion, gets some of the coolest subclasses in DnD, AND can turn invisible without a spell Slot and use Astral Projection without Spell slots, is bad?
@@hydrastuff8029 it's silly absolutely
Like you said, gishes are hard. The only thing I *might've* done differently is drop three of those fighter levels for 3 in Warlock. She gets power from her heritage amd they're angel-like, so let's call it Celestial Warlock. A bit redundant, but doing that grants Eldritch Blast which I'd argue is a truer star bolt. Grab Tome for her eclectic abilities. Get Potent Cantrip and then either Mage Armor Adept or Repelling Blast.
Starfire may not know Earth customs, but she isn't dumb, she knows a lot of mathematics and science
Did you know there is a bad guy called Slade (joke)
Think you videos are great though some not practical as the campaign finishes before level 20.
Still I appreciate your commitment. You are a DND master and I bow to you.
Starfire was always my favorite member of the team
Took a little bit of a break but am back to watch more. Hope everyone is well.
Oh I'll be playing this one haha.
Is it possible for you to do an Adventure Time series? Or a few characters?
Jake Long or Danny Phantom would be some interesting options for the future
Please cover Jaune Arc from RWBY! I'm a fan of the hero-wannabe turned real hero. I'm almost 100% positive he'd be a Paladin of some kind.
I appreciate the section where you cover why you didn't go a certain route. Question: I assume Light domain Clerics were a no-go in this build for the same reason as monks, in that they don't have casual access to flying?
As a followup statement; having such a low AC, even with Mage Armor on, hurts. I could see dropping Wisdom down to squeeze a bit of Dexterity into the formula. Every +1 helps.
Well now that Scott Pilgrim has turned 10 years old and it’s old console games are being released again you should totally make a Scott Pilgrim build
EDIT: Never mind you already did a Scott Build.
Race: Scourge Aasimar
Background: Noble
Strength: 15
Dexterity: 12
Constitution: 13
Intelligence: 10
Wisdom: 8
Charisma: 14
Class(es)
- Sun Soul Monk: Starfire goes around punching things and shooting lasers out of her hands. That is the Sun Soul Monk.
- Divine Soul Sorcerer: This would basically just be to get Fly. The spells from DS Sorcerer like Guiding Bolt would definetely fit but the main focus here is flight.
Okay, I really need to stop forgetting that the Fighter class doesn't **need** to use a weapon. I go with Monk so much because "Oh, this character punches things. Fighters use swords. Brbarian's use axes, so this character must be a Monk." Even though in easily 60-75% of the builds I guess Monk on Tulok uses Fighter. I keep forgetting that Fighter isn't boring.
If you want to go for a more Fantasy themed Starfire, either go Paladin with the Divine Cantrip fighting style, or Sorcadin. Either would make sense for Starfire or Blackfire. The only difference is that Starfire is an Oath of Ancients, Blackfire is clearly Oath of Conquest.
I absolutely love your content but I have to request you make Escanor if you haven’t yet
I've been looking all over the place for a Madara Uchiha build and I haven't been able to find a single one. I think he would make for a really strong character with a wide variety of abilities that would be fun to play with. The only things I can think of for building his character would maybe a multi class between a monk and a sorcerer, but I'm relatively new to D&D, so there's probably a better way of going about making him. @tulokthebarbrarian, I really enjoy remaking your builds and using them when I play, so if you were able to make this one that would be really sick.
Also if you were to make a Pain build from Naruto that would be hella cool. You'd probably have to use the Deva Path
I've never seen Teen Titans, but Starfire is cute and cool.
I got nothing else, just boosting the algorithm.
Requests: yondu, naruto, sasuke
You should do one for Iceman
Just spitballing here.
Replace the fighter levels with warlock levels? Access to Eldritch Blast with the invocations to buff it. If you really still wanted extra attack you could with a blade pact. By RAW I think you still have to make the attack with a pact weapon but I feel like most DMs (read cool DMs) would still let you cast fist twice. I believe there's a new Tasha's feat for taking a fighting style so you could still get that.
Personally I would just focus on the blasty blasty. Like you said Z fighters are a bit meh in 5E. And oh boy Sorlocks. Short rest pact slots can be burned for more sorcery points and not trying to make haste and punches works frees your concentration for Sunbeam + quickened spells or Eldritch Blasts.
Pew Pew Pew
“It could be helpful if you ever need to take on a whole hive of enemies”
Hey that’s funny cause there’s actually like a group of villains called the hive. The more you know I guess
Can we see a Blue Raja build? In fact, the Mystery Men team sounds like a hoot.
I'd love to see a character built of Sam & Max
I've been playing with a Jedi build for my wife. Looking at 4 levels of Battle Smith Artificer for weapon infusion and droid companions, 14 levels of Psi Warrior for Jedi moves, and 2 levels of Bladesinger Wizard for Bladesong to bolster the Jedi fighting style.
I guess that would be the Jedi from the video game. Since his Droid basically lives on him. As most Droids in star wars are basically there own party members.
R2D2 Warforged With Grease (& a way to start a fire) Shocking Grasp, Fly etc.
@@apex2000 between the steel defender and the homunculus servant infusion, that gives her a pair of them. True, they aren't independent, but it keeps another player from having to be a secondary character.
I'm pretty sure you could choose any 1-2 Nouns/Verbs, and it would be the name of a superhero/supervillain.
Actually True Strike can be a vital spell if you are, say, Paladin, that really wants to get that empowered smite in
That bane vs starfire footage. So close 🤏
Honestly the only change I would do make her a Battle Master for Pushing, Tripping and Ambush maneuvers.
Teen Titans all wrapped up. What’s say we take a look at Young Justice now?! =D
"Monks don't do that well. Neither do Druids..."
Well, guess I've been playing my Druid who transforms into a dragon all wrong, cuz those can certainly fly, flip cars, and shoot lazers.
(jk I don't even play Druid but I love you)
I’m kinda surprised you didn’t do circle of stars Druid. You get several free casts of guiding bolt which is v nice. Buuut this build definitely has more raw power than that build would.
If I may ask Tulak, would you consider doing a Cad Bane build sometime? From the Clone Wars, just in case that slipped your mind. 😊👍 but I'd be very interested to see how you would put him together.
Slade.... right at the end you cheeky bastard
