      @ozwellspencer8307 Год назад +36

It isn't a thick question, but rather a loaded one. Or a thickly loaded one, perhaps :) She's trying to get a soudbite out of him that they can use to make it seem that the RMT is throwing nurses or other workers under the bus, in a pathetic attempt to prevent unions from taking coordinated action. In That regard, the very first words out of his mouth immediately deny her that soudbite whilst also showing support for other workers.

I'm a skiver, a scrounger, a lazy bastard, who can't work following a "life changing" accident. People didn't like people like me "living a life of luxury" on benefits, because the Daily Mail, Government, BBC (same thing) and Channel 4 told them they didn't. They voted for benefit cuts, they applauded benefit cuts, well here's a surprise, if they need help now or in the future, it isn't going to be there. If people have "life changing" accidents or suffer serious illness (1 in 2 or 50% of us are going to get cancer) who's going to support them. We can't afford to save because outgoings outstrip income, there's no point sitting there, thinking "it will never happen to me" statistically, yes it fckng will. They've voted away, not only my safety net but also their own, if or when it happens, not the smartest of moves really. You see, this lazy, scrounging, luxury living piece of shit worked for over 40 years. So I thought I would get splattered across the road by a large lorry, then I wouldn't have to work anymore!!!! Anybody, absolutely anybody can find themselves in my position, tomorrow or the next day or whenever. Then we can welcome them into the "life of luxury" club. We can all sit on the sofa, eating takeaway pizza drinking beer and watching sky TV. Because that really happens, in the minds of people who will never wear their brains out thinking for themselves. The temptation is to say "fuck them, it's what they wanted" but the reality is, I don't want to see anybody else going through it. It's time to stop shooting ourselves in the foot, over 150,000 people have died under the current system. They've done the sick, they are doing the low paid, then it will be moving on up the food chain. They have tried it once before but it didn't work, so watch out for the restart of the generation war. Why should those bloody pensioners be rich while you work full-time and can't afford to live. Don't fall for it there are very few rich pensioners. These divisions hand everything to the government on a silver plate. How many times are we going to keep handing it to them and get fck all back when we most need it, whether by accident, illness or unemployment?

Tories to Press: "Everyone's in the same boat. Things are really tough and we have to make difficult decisions."
*cut services, reduce quality of life, increase nihilism*
Public: "People should have good conditions but we're all in the same boat now. No point trying to change things, they don't care."
      Workers: "Support the strike!"
Public: *beep* *cheer* *tea* "I can now only dream of things getting better for any of us."
Press to Public: "How much disruption are these strikes causing you?"
Public: "A lot. It's been going on too long. It needs fixing."
      Bad Employers to Tories: "Ahem?"
Tories: "New anti-union laws on the way"
      Workers to Union: "What now?"
Union: "They've made striking more difficult. We need to ballot again."
      *ballot fails*
Workers: "We can't go on like this"
Bad Employers: "I'll hire some staff"
Bad Employers to Agency: "Give me some temp staff"
Bad Employers to employees: "We're reducing the size of this section and renaming the department. You can apply through agency."
Former employees, now agency staff: "wtf?"

      Public: "Fuck this."
      Bad Employers: "This is great!"
Tories: "Getting trashed in the polls though..."
Bad Employers: "Not to worry, saturate the news with whatever you have available and they'll forget about it"
      Tories: "The electorate aren't stupid."
Bad Employers: "... ... You had me going there for a minute!"
Tories: "Gotcha! Haha. Economy's fucked anyway, we'll throw the next couple to Labour and let them take the flack. Toodles for now!"

Tories keep telling us we don’t deserve extra money despite the huge profits of corporations. We work and earn profits for the corporates. It’s disgusting, they want us to argue between ourselves who deserves more ie nurses and rail staff wages while they continue to profit. We can’t let them carry on. Full transparency is needed and tax havens need to disappear.

This man is talking sense, he played a blinder on this channel talking with Mick Lynch recently and as an older citizen it is great to hear a London accent. The thing is the British public are now taking notice after finally being given impossible demands, on inflation, energy, public services and such. We are seeing interest rises to curb inflation. Raising interest rates will not calm down inflation if that inflation is not being caused by excessive consumer demand but by global economics. It will harm business but it is good for people who already have lots of money. The majority of working class UK consumers are at breaking point, they don't have £1000's saved for a rainy day but they do know that any Government money given to them will be borrowed resulting in more misery later on. The answers are under our feet, the North Sea and on the benches of Parliament. People of the UK. We may need to have a General Election sooner than you think and there are alternatives to a two party system.

Several years ago I heard a multi millionaire warn those with excessive amounts of money that unless they shared their wealth, the people would come after them with pitchforks. He asked for fair wages, if people were paid a fair salary, they would instantly improve the economy by spending more....makes sense.
