I love this tutorial! I've tried my hand at making zipper pouches the original way and I always seem to make them crooked or miss something. I am going to give this one a try it looks so much easier and very well explained thank you. BTW I'm teaching myself to sew since I don't have anyone to teach me. Thank you again for a great tutorial!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I searched for an hour or more for a video showing me how to use ONE SIDE of a continuous zip but all there is that I could find was showing me how to use BOTH SIDES of the continuous zip. I wasn't sure if i could separate the zip into two parts and would the zipper work on this half. YES it does! Thank you once again and I hope you get more visitors to your video. I have subbed.

Super, super tutorial! I made one, working along with it, and got a bag I love that is really cute. Sewing isn’t easy for me as I am totally blind in one eye, and legally blind in the other, but sewing remains my super power! I used SF 101 for smooth fabric, plus Flex Foam, so my bag stands up just beautifully! Thank you so much! You are a great instructor!

With the YKK I had the zipper back together in less than 2 minutes. My advice is DO NOT use a Talon zipper. Buy the YKK. Amazon sells them by the bagful. Less than $1 apiece.

Hello Lorrie! Thank you for this wonderful video. I LOVE this method -- I think that the continuous zipper across the top just looks so clever. I'm not sure if you will see this post as I know this video is 4 years old at this point, but I figured I'd try. I'm having an issue with the width of the seams across the boxed corners being uneven. I use a boxed corner template to cut out my squares so they are all the same size, and I do my very best to line up the seams before sewing, but the side of the pouch with the long seam that we sew tends to have a slightly smaller width across the boxed corner bottom than the width across the bottom of the boxed corner on the seamless side of the pouch. Since I can't post a picture of my projects, I hope that I'm explaining this clearly enough. Is this something normal to a pouch like this? Am I just being particular? Do you have any suggestions or could you possibly help troubleshoot in another video in the future? Again, thank you so much for your easy to understand tutorial!

I love these bags. One sided zippper sounds kind of scary but your directions are so easy to follow.
