Hooray for creative new breed of crafters! It was 1967 and very few people wanted home-made goods anymore, opening the door to China made! More power to the new breed of brilliant crafters! And to your great tutorials!
Ditto!
@@d8zdly I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
I love this tutorial! I've tried my hand at making zipper pouches the original way and I always seem to make them crooked or miss something. I am going to give this one a try it looks so much easier and very well explained thank you. BTW I'm teaching myself to sew since I don't have anyone to teach me. Thank you again for a great tutorial!
Glad to see and observe another left handed craft person. I am left handed and sometimes I have difficulties doing and understanding zippers, etc.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I searched for an hour or more for a video showing me how to use ONE SIDE of a continuous zip but all there is that I could find was showing me how to use BOTH SIDES of the continuous zip. I wasn't sure if i could separate the zip into two parts and would the zipper work on this half. YES it does! Thank you once again and I hope you get more visitors to your video. I have subbed.
Made 3 of these last night. It was a challenge. Pelon fusable foam liner makes them so strong and crisp. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Super, super tutorial! I made one, working along with it, and got a bag I love that is really cute. Sewing isn’t easy for me as I am totally blind in one eye, and legally blind in the other, but sewing remains my super power! I used SF 101 for smooth fabric, plus Flex Foam, so my bag stands up just beautifully! Thank you so much! You are a great instructor!
I received a bag with a continuous zipper and it BLEW my mind. I tried googling to figure out the mechanics around this infinity zipper to no avail. I came across your video and victory is mine!! Thank you for such a detailed and thorough tutorial!! You're the best :)
Finally a simple view of the continuous zipper!
Thanks 🙏🏼
Lorrie, I really really love 💖💕💖 that purse/bag.....it’s much better having that closure, which allows you to see right into the bag, if you’ve got it chocked full of stuff. Thank you so much xxx Mags
Another way to finish the handle instead of sewing it together I use my Kam Press Rivet.. looks awesome and professional. Thanks for the great video
Excellent tutorial, great bag idea, but the way you explained each step, clear and precise without any extra fluff. Thank you.
I just made three of these bags over the past two days. Thanks for another great video. The wonder tape is a blessing. I didn't use it on first bag yesterday. But did today.
Tamie Jamison how did I you put the zipper slider back on, I got few das trying different way unsuccessfully.
I took me an hour to finish one but none anymore
I think I may be addicted to your tutorials! These little pouches are perfect! So colorful as well as handy to attach to my daughter's backpack. Thanks for this super cute creative idea! I can't wait to get started.
Very tasty! I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
Your explanation and video are very clear. I really appreciate having access to such useful and understandable instructions. I am teaching my 12 yr old granddaughter to sew and we use your videos to do step by step sewing with great results. Thank you very much.
My first time watching one of your videos and wanted to let you know that this would have to be the best tutorial I have ever watched. Your speech is very clear, you take your time and repeatedly show steps. The perfect tutorial. Love this pouch and THANK YOU 😊
I started making bags on my grandmother's pedal sewing machine the summer that I turned six years old. I'm officially a senior citizen now and have made everything from bridal gowns to baby bloomers but still love making bags. Sewing is as natural as brushing my teeth!
The continuous zipper is very clever. I will definitely try our method.
Loved this little pouch. Very cool how you used just one half of the zipper!!!
Mine came out and I'm a new sewer, it was my 3rd project and first doing a zipper. Thanks so much
This is a game changer! I like to line my crochet and knitted bags. I'm sure this technique can be applied. Thank you. Glad this showed up in my feed!
You now have me so addicted to making zipper pouches! Love all your tutorials! 😊
Love it. I have seen flowers made with zippers and a button added to the center. That would be cute pinned or glued to the side.
My friends and I had a sewing day at my house yesterday and this is one of the projects we chose to make. The bags came out great.
Best video I've seen for continuous zipper bags! BUT, one comment: You don't need to repeat ... it's a video, we can replay as many times as we need to.
yes, but some of us are new to youtube. repetition might help some. :-)
I know I put my little arrow on the line, and go back a few steps overtime I make these.
@@lissametzger4387 I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
I LOVE watching your tutorials. You have a very unique yet easy way to make things and I truly appreciate you sharing it on RUclips. Thank you~
Loved the tutorial, have 5 granddaughters who would love these. One thing, I noticed you leave your rotary cutter open, be careful, I am sure you know you can cut yourself.
Thanks Laurie, I love your sewing videos. I don’t have one of those machines, but I sew usually everyday & I love new ideas. 💖👍💗💜❤️💕😍. Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
I love this. For the handle I would use a rivet
I love it and I would love to make a pouch for my grandson who collects erasers❤️🥰👍🏼This was a fantastic tutorial. I saw a cute bag that was embellished using pieces of zipper tape too😘Thanks again.
Very tasty 😋! I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
I've watched your awhile ago and loved it. I'm now ready to make one. Looking forward to trying the continuous zipper. Thanks for the great tutorial. You're easy to follow, and I like how you go back over some of the difficult parts, esp. for someone who is a beginner. Appreciate it :)
This is so creative and well done. All the details are included, you didn't miss a beat Lorrie. Thank you so much for sharing your skills I cannot wait to make some of these!
Love the idea of the continuous zipper! This cute little bag is on my to-do list for sure. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise.
Thank you for the great tip about the brand of zipper to use on this adorable project. I didn't realize I had different brands in my stash. Don't try to use a Talon zipper . The YKK zipper works really well.
Thank you Lorrie. I want to put a continuous zipper in a little dumpling pouch and couldn’t figure out how to do it. I think I could bumble along now. If you would like to do a small coin dumpling pouch tutorial (not clam) That would be terrific. 😄
I've made zipper handles and tabs on bags before. I overlap the tape of the zipper together with the teeth on the outside and stitch them together.
Love, Love, Love the way you teach---so patient and repeating!!! THANK YOU!
Thank you for your well-planned, easy to understand tutorial. You're a very good teacher.
What a great stash buster. I have 3 Granddaughters who are always bugging me to make make-up bags for them. Here they are!
I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
excellent presentation....closeup shots would be so helpful. Thank you!
Love the super-clean inside finishing, Lorrie!
Thanks Lorrie for another fabulous tutorial.
I need to make this asap.
I like the zipper is sewn.
I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
Yippeeeeeee ! It is back. So HAPPY!
I am so happy this is back. I had gone out and purchase the supply and when I came back to make it.. this was gone. So I am super excited for this and your excellent tutorial.
LOVE the bag!!! I am a little concerned about the first wrist strap tho. Sewn that way, the strap strength is completely dependent on the stitches that are sewn into the fabric. Just a thought.
You are welcome to sew the strap in any fashion you like. I show other methods in other videos - this was just another variation for beginners
I love the way you do your zipper! I have to go make a pouch so I can try it!
Thanks for this tutorial. I've stopped putting the Wonder tape the full length of the zip, as a few spots along the length works just as well. 😌
I love the zipper. Thanks for showing us how to do it.
I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
Great tutorial. I really like the idea of using only one side of the zipper, a very nice look.
I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
I also had trouble getting the zipper back together. And when I say ‘trouble’ I mean impossible. I read through the comments and decided to try a YKK brand zipper. With the YKK I had the zipper back together in less than 2 minutes. My advice is DO NOT use a Talon zipper. Buy the YKK. Amazon sells them by the bagful. Less than $1 apiece.
@@lisafrazer1031 YKK is the brand name. You will see it on the packaging or on the description if ordering online.
You always make sewing look so easy that I want to try everything you make! I have tried a couple and, while not quite as easy as you make it look, they were fun. And hoping I will get faster with practice. Thanks for all your videos!
It turned out fantastic. It's always a pleasure watching your videos. Simple and easy to follow.
So need a cricket 😀👍😊
Thanks again for sharing.
I’ve made several of these...gals love them
Love the bag. I cannot get the zipper to close. The zipper tab goes on but the zipper does not stay zipped. Any suggestions?
Thanks for another great video. Your instructions are always so perfect...
Absolutely LOVED this design. Can’t wait to make it myself along with my daughter and son. I’m always looking for ways to sew using cricket so thank u for making this easy and doable for us as we are all learning together!!!
I'm glad this tutorial is back up. I was looking everywhere for it.
Thank u Lorrie for another great tutorial! I have made your Pioneer Woman's bag some time ago, and I just love it! So simple with the placemats, and looks so professional! I use it for all my sewing notions.
Such a great pouch with really simple instructions 😍 Thankyou for sharing x
Very tasty..I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
Great tutorial, I wondered how you were going to do a continuous zipper. Looks like another winner!
Cindi Loo thanks!
You are a great teacher!
Thank you for another easy to follow video. I hope to make this one sometime soon. I may even put the heat and bond lining in it. We’ll see.
Love this so much, I can't wait to make 1.
Your a very good teacher thanks for sharing.
Hey first time to watch. Beginner sewer here. You give great instructions. Thank you. Blessings to you
Have you tried zipper tape by the yard for this project, I have just gotten some, I may have to watch the cost though. Also, a button or ect on the end of the zipper handle would be cute, as alway a brain teaser! Love your projects, keep them coming, thanks so very much! Ouch, on the blister! ;)
Most clear and detailed tutorial - will be making this interesting pouch! Thank you!
Thank you! I'm a beginner and have found your videos so helpful - thanks for making them!
I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
excellent tutorial. i really appreciate you taking the time to be thorough. thank you!!! 🐿
"Your the best" Your detail instruction were so helpful. I like when you repeat steps it makes the process easier... Thank you
First video I've seen using a continuous zipper - thanks for an easy to understand tutorial. I'll go check out your other video's :)
I will eventually master these but not yet, will continue to try.
Fantastic! Thank you!🙌💖🤗
Love your zipper pouches. Would like to see you figure out how to make or material to use for a snack pouch. Not sure if the clear vinyl would be safe.
I also would like to say, you are a very good teacher. Thanks for showing and sharing your ideas.
These bags are soooooo pretty and what an innovative way to place the zip and I have just got to try it. Shall buy the lobster clasps but what measurement was the little d ring?? Thank you for the inspiration. ✂️😊
Thank you for this tutorial! I really enjoyed watching & I look forward to making some!
another fabulous tutorial. Thankyou
What a fun bag . Wonder tape is great. Thank you.
Loved it.. Great teacher..smiles from NY
I love this lined bag! Can't wait to make one of my own! Thanks for this video.
I'm going to make one of these and put the stuff on it to make it waterproof inside
You are so clever! Can't wait to make this pouches. Thanks a lot!
Very cute and clear description.
Wonderful tutorial
Very original...like it and will use the idea...
I must confess I like your profile! You've a beautiful picture there! I hope a get a thank you 😁
Lovely tutorial. Amazing way to use zipper. Very nicely explained
Thanks for this tutorial. You are an excellent instructor
Could you do the zipper strap the same as the fabric strap but trim the teeth off before turning, fray-check it & then stitch the second time?
OH Quilter you can do whatever you like! 😉
Thank you for the clear instructions for each step!
Thank you so much for this step by step tutorial!! Easy for me to follow along with you as I make this bag💖
MakeupandRVs thank you
Hello Lorrie! Thank you for this wonderful video. I LOVE this method -- I think that the continuous zipper across the top just looks so clever. I'm not sure if you will see this post as I know this video is 4 years old at this point, but I figured I'd try. I'm having an issue with the width of the seams across the boxed corners being uneven. I use a boxed corner template to cut out my squares so they are all the same size, and I do my very best to line up the seams before sewing, but the side of the pouch with the long seam that we sew tends to have a slightly smaller width across the boxed corner bottom than the width across the bottom of the boxed corner on the seamless side of the pouch. Since I can't post a picture of my projects, I hope that I'm explaining this clearly enough. Is this something normal to a pouch like this? Am I just being particular? Do you have any suggestions or could you possibly help troubleshoot in another video in the future? Again, thank you so much for your easy to understand tutorial!
#cricutlove
I love these bags. One sided zippper sounds kind of scary but your directions are so easy to follow.
Wow!! So cute....first time seeing your video....looking forward to watching more of you....thanks so much!!
I can’t stop watching this Video it’s fabulous I have to get it in my long-term memory ! 😂 🧵✂️
Great tutorial! So clear and precise!
PERFECT instructions and easy to follow. Thank you
Great tutorial
