Absolutely LOVE your tutorial. I have watched too many to count and yours is the ONLY one to clearly and perfectly explain how to set the zipper in the final long seam. It makes all the difference in the outcome of the finished project to know to have the teeth of the zipper facing the lining. THANK YOU!!!!!
Gold standard tutorial. Perfect instructions, perfect dialogue, perfect time on demo. Good, clear instructions and delightful end result. If only other sewing tutorials were like this...Thank you for all your effort and taking the time to make this available - and bonus - no annoying adverts!!!
Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I have made 6 bags using your step by step instructions. They have come out beautifully and made excellent gifts.
Thank you for your tutorial. It was so easy. And your demonstration on your video was so easy to follow. Some people out there are so difficult to follow. You were amazing.
What an awesome little pouch! I watched a half dozen other tutorials for zippered pouches and yours is by far the easiest! I knit socks so this will be a great idea for stitch markers and the granddaughters will love one to hang on their backpacks! Thanks for such a great, easy project & tutorial. I saw another viewer made larger for a knitting project bag - great idea. Off to make! ❤
So much nicer than a pouch with exposed seams! No amount of zig zagging the exposed ends helps. It still looks crude and unfinished. Your version is clean looking and lovely. Thank you so much, Lorrie.
Lovely tutorial, one of the clearest and easiest to follow. Really enjoyed the project. I made it 8"x8" and it's going to be a sock knitting project bag.
I really enjoyed the video. Lorrie explains every step so well & she spoke lound enough so I could hear her which has been a problem with other videos. Thank you, Lorrie.
Thanks for this great tutorial. I teach 10 year old girls to sew. They've already sewn a rectangle zipper pouch . This will be a good follow up project. More zipper practice and a fun shape. I love the use of the tape to close the seam. I'll have to look into that! Your instructions are very clear and concise. 💕
Fantastic! Just what I was looking for. Made one in about 20 minutes, with coffee sips. Now I want to make about 10 more. This is the best instructional video I think I have even seen. Thank you!
I made the little bag, 6”. It came out awesome. For all of my 6” squares, I cut them in half and sewed the squares back together with different fabric for each side. I love this pattern. It was so much fun to make. Thank you for making this video.
Excellent tip about the heat and bond tape. I have an entire roll and will just cut strips. I did a sample and it looks better than sewing that awkward seam!
This is great for someone like me who is young, but uses a 1940s machine that ONLY does straight stitch. I’ve made these with exposed seams and since I can’t overlock or zig zag, I worry about fraying. Thanks for this!
I love to make unique gifts for birthdays, holidays, etc. I saw this video during the Summer and made a couple of 6" wide bags but didn't think anyone l know would use them. I decided to make them smaller (4"), for for the 3 adults l live with, this year Christmas and use them as ornaments for our tree. They are perfect! Each one is catered to the person l am giving them to for an extra surprise. They look great on our tree and a great scrap buster! Thank you!
Great tutorial. I have watched it a few times, it's very clear. Many thanks. In the last few weeks I have made nearly 50! to sell for charity. only forgotten to undo the zip once.....
Fabulous tutorial. Explained and filmed very well. I like the fact that you don't take forever to show every little step by going back and forth to the sewing machine. Well Done.
My first time making this, I watched the video once and I was like," I think I know what I am doing". I sewed the triangle upside down 😂. Determined, I did it again today, and it looked nice. Thanks for sharing ☺️
Great comments here, and they are true -- this is the perfect tutorial: no drawn-out explanations, but perfectly clear what you're doing and how. I've tried but couldn't quite figure this one out on my own, so many, many thanks! These will make great gift card holders for the $/cards I give my many nieces and nephews at Christmas; I'll make a mess of them and they can pick the one they like. Subscribing! Super cute! Awesome tute! Thank you!
Thank you Lorrie for this excellent video. You explained things very clearly. First time I have understood instructions and no exposed seams, brilliant. I hope I can achieve this as it is such a useful project xx
Just made my 1st one. I'm very pleased how it turned out. Not that hard. But still for a novice, as long asni paused the video and completed the step, and then watched the next step, then paused the video, I was fine. Haha. Thanks
Love your simple & clear tutorial! {also the no exposed seams is just perfect}. Whenever I go to stitch up a new pattern I also go to your channel and voila...there it is most times! Huge THANK YOU for your channel ;}
Super cute, just found these as it came up after I did a cute little cat pouch video over on Red Rocking Bird, you have a great channel, glad I found you, have a great day
This was AWESOME!! Instructions so clear and precise. I really like the non-exposed seams for I've only seen it with raw edges and I do not like that!! I can't wait to make these!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I made a similar one but I was very unhappy with the raw edges and couldn't work out how to avoid them. Thankfully your brain is clearly better than mine and you were kind enough to share your method. Delighted x
👍👍👍 fabulous tutorial. Precise instructions with no time spent showing how to sew a straight line 😊 Excellent pouch to make for Halloween, Christmas, Birthday gifts etc. Can’t wait to get started. 💕
Thanks for the tutorial. I sewed a few up this morning and your instructions were perfect. I eased lightweight interfacing and it did not turn out as crisp as yours, but super cute and fun to sew!
Thanks for the tip about the directional fabric! Very thorough explanations! The only thing I have to add is make sure you use at least like 1/4 seam allowance to attach the zipper, otherwise you won't have much material to topstitch on...I'm new to sewing zippers and made this mistake, also made that mistake with some of my other zipper projects
These are so cute and I had fun making them. Just a couple little notes, make sure to sew your seams a little more than quarter of an inch to pick up all outer fabric and in my opinion, the smaller ones are cuter! 5x5 👍🏼.
I've made about 14 of these... great gifts! I wait until Joann fabric has a zipper sale... $2.39 a zipper. Pelon fusable foam liner works great on outer fabic.
Awesome....very easy to follow video.....as usual! Thank you for sharing. My granddaughters might get these with earrings or earbuds for Christmas. Boys use earbuds too.....hmmmm
That's a great idea, I actually had a similar pouch for my earphones hooked to the inside of my school backpacks all through high school. So much easier than digging through the whole bag to find them while on the bus... I'm sure your grandkids will love them :)
The only thing that would make this EXCELLENT presentation better, is if you did use directional fabric. Those birds got me confused. (I was an angry bird last night at 3:30am-LOL)THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME VIDEO!!
Such a wonderful project! I've been wanting to try this triangle pouch and you have now made that possible! Thank you for sharing all of your creative ideas with us!
You have such a easy method I love it . A bit tricky in the beginning , I even had to come back here to see how you sowed it together . But this is all worth it . I have now made 2 and going to make more . Thank you for sharing this cute bag . Love love ❤️ it . ❤️🌹❤️🌹
Genius !! Great tutorial, very clear instructions for a well finished, useful little bag and larger bags can be made using bigger squares of fabric. Great stash buster. Many thanks xx

EnglishRivieraVanessa wow! What a nice thing to say. I appreciate your support so much!!
Thank you sooo much!!!
Agree 100%.
Link for the bonding used on the seam?
Exactly the tutorial I was searching for a long time. I don't like my bag seams exposed. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I have made 6 bags using your step by step instructions. They have come out beautifully and made excellent gifts.
I can’t find the seam tape she used
NICE Tutorial! Very clear instruction and video, and appreciated not having distracting music in the background like many videos have!
rls161 Funny, I am also very grateful for NO background music. I am an HSP so noise distracts me.
Music in the background is SO distracting!
Really like the one with two fabrics on outside. Think my 7 year old granddaughter would love it. Thank you for sharing...
Thank you for your tutorial. It was so easy. And your demonstration on your video was so easy to follow. Some people out there are so difficult to follow. You were amazing.

I’ve watched so many of these tutorials and you nailed it! Thank you.
This is the Best explained video On sewing a bag that I have ever seen. Well thought out and great explanations. Thank you so much

Wonderful! I made this today and am ecstatic with how easy it was while also being novel. Excellent tutorial, thank you so much for sharing!
You are a excellent teacher for a beginner like myself...Bless God for you...
I made the little bag, 6”. It came out awesome. For all of my 6” squares, I cut them in half and sewed the squares back together with different fabric for each side. I love this pattern. It was so much fun to make. Thank you for making this video.
Disinfectant Spray
Thanks for that idea.
Thanks for a clearly described and detailed tutorial. So nice not to have irritating music. Love the hidden seams for a neat finish.
Thank you! Yesterday I made five of your urban headbands as a surprise for my neighbor’s baby. They were a hit! Blessings.
Love this. Best triangle one I’ve seen yet. Nice to meet with no expose seems!!
Cute bag... I’m glad you figured out how to make this without the raw seams showing. Nice finishing details. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent tip about the heat and bond tape. I have an entire roll and will just cut strips. I did a sample and it looks better than sewing that awkward seam!
I love the way you enclosed the seams. It looks so much neater. Thank you!
Exactly what I need to sew up for bringing dog-doodoo bags on walks. Thanks!
This is great for someone like me who is young, but uses a 1940s machine that ONLY does straight stitch. I’ve made these with exposed seams and since I can’t overlock or zig zag, I worry about fraying. Thanks for this!
Oooh I might make this lined with wipable plastic for kids snacks for school 😀
Great tutorial. Love that it is easy to follow and No background music.
.and here’s my girlfriends Christmas sewing project. Seems easy enough to make a dozen or so over the weekend. Thanks for the demo! Awesome!
A very clear, easy to follow demo of a triangular pouch.
I will stitch my first similar pouch soon!!
Thanks a lot !!
Wonderful tutorial explained really well. Made some of these for the grand-kids for Easter egg hunting

I love that there are no exposed seams. Thank you 😊
I’ve made these but without the lining. Very clever. Thanks. Great tutorial - good clear voice and directions.
Fabulous tutorial. Explained and filmed very well. I like the fact that you don't take forever to show every little step by going back and forth to the sewing machine. Well Done.
Wow. So cute.
Love how you show each detail and explain. So helpful to those of us who are show me, please. Definitely going to make some.
My first time making this, I watched the video once and I was like," I think I know what I am doing". I sewed the triangle upside down 😂. Determined, I did it again today, and it looked nice. Thanks for sharing ☺️
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I was able to follow along easily and there was no cussing involved. 😉

i had no idea you could purchase zippers on amazon! wow! you just saved me mucho denaro at Joann's.
Genius !! Great tutorial, very clear instructions for a well finished, useful little bag and larger bags can be made using bigger squares of fabric. Great stash buster. Many thanks xx
