  • This video includes strategies, tips, and tricks to get a high score on the toefl exam. I describe strategies, tips and tricks for the reading, listening, speaking, and writing sections of the TOEFL. Also, I list free TOEFL preparation resources and a list of websites for free TOEFL practice or mock tests. Finally, I describe critical strategies to consider before the TOEFL exam and during the exam itself. I describe how to score well despite not having an American or British Accent, how to write more and use templates in the writing section, and how to score high in the reading and listening sections.
    I also suggest you watch video by Sybil Wang titled how I scored 117/120 on the new toefl exam // my tips & tricks. I find that some of the tricks and strategies she recommend are pretty similar to what I recommend, with some major changes in others. Note that you will see advice such as how to prepare for toefl in two weeks or how to prepare for toefl in one month, those people have done it and in fact I also prepared for toefl in under a month but please remember that this depends on person to person. If you are proficient in English, you can prepare in one month or less, otherwise you need to commit more time.
    Please also remember that TOEFL changed on July 26, 2023. The new changes are in the writing, reading, and listening sections. I will have another video on new changes ETS introduced to toefl.

    6:05 I can't believe this worked for me. I seriously can't believe I'm saying this. I've taken 4 mock tests and in all of them, I took notes extensively and was able to score around 26-27. I just tried implementing this strategy in 2 lectures and I scored all the questions correctly and took less than 10-20 seconds for each question. I was actively repeating what the professor said making my conclusion ( basically I was talking to myself) and trying to visualize all the things and connect them. This worked wonders for me. I'm gonna implement this method in all listening practice tests and see how it pans out.

      I had recorded four videos on how to use templates in the speaking section but unlisted those. If you have not watched those videos, let me know, I will send them over to you so you can watch.
      They are not public, but I can definitely share.

    Hello my friend, I am using the TestAdmit website in order to prepare for the TOEFL test but there are three options there is Barron's form and TestAdmit Mock, I found both of them more difficult than TPO 1-66
    So I only use Tpo 1-66
    Because I don't want to get frustrated with the difficult question.
    And I have another question if I'm only using the test admitt website because it has TPOs, is it necessary to use best my test website?

      @Hatsaandh  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Mahmoud Sharabaty, I am glad you have been practicing. My suggestion is, take as many practice test as you can. Take any reading passage that you find online, as each takes about 18 minutes, which, in my opinion, is not a long time. Don't be frustrated if you see low score as you practice. Just remember that it's only practice and it's fine to sometimes get a really difficult passage or low score. Practice is what trains your brain.

    Big question; how is it possible to understand the meaning of a paragraph while skimming through?

    • @Hatsaandh
      @Hatsaandh  Год назад +1

      That is the beauty of academic writing. If you read the title of a passage and then first and last sentences of each paragraphs, you get the key ideas. That is the main point.
      The reason for this is, in academic writing, the main point for each paragraph is written in the first sentence. That is why the first sentence is called the topic sentence. Other sentences are usually further descriptions, examples, and details.

    • @AreenTimes
      @AreenTimes Год назад

      I mean; in order to choose the correct answer, I have to scan through the entire paragraph for specific information, doesn't it mean that skimming is not required?

    You forgot to mention that your skills are so high. It takes a lot of time to reach that point. I assumed that you are living in an English-speaking country, so it is not a 1-month preparation.
