Moving to the Top Campsite and Exploring Mount Mitchell in North Carolina

We finally get to move our campsite and head to the top of the mountain at Mama Gerties Hideaway Campground. The top tier campgrounds really provide a wonderful view and even more of an oasis of mountain life in North Carolina. After getting settled we go grab lunch at The Hillman local brewery just outside of the Blueridge Parkway and venture out to explore Mount Mitchell. This peak is the highest peak east of the Mississippi and provides amazing views of the North Carolina mountains.

What a great camp site!!!!! We've went by Mt Mitchell on our motorcycle ride of the Parkway but we didn't stop to explore.. our loss for sure. Thanks for the hand stand!!!! Y'all be good and safe!!!!
