Hot weather and hard ground has a tendency to take a lot of the fun out of it, still some old stuff was dug and that's what makes it worth it! Thanks for sharing Clinton
Thanks for posting this. Reminds me how hard it can be to consistently, and literally find some crap in Colorado. I'm digging in the mountains and the mineralization in the soil is tough on my Garret but never had a cow pie through me off.
Good job sir. Liked!
Good video. I thought it was in the dung but I didn't comment until now. Hot fun day with
the HART team. Enjoyed the video. Have a great Sunday, Tony. ; D
Enjoyed watching, I've heard about the cow pies giving signals lol. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Dig it all! It's in the dung, lol, or on its side. Cool eagle button. Great volunteer detecting to try to save some more history.
go for it Tony , it will warsh off !! hahaha !
It's looks like a lot of hard work. That's what it takes sometime. Thanks Tony for sharing. And thanks for your support and I all ways don't commit but I'll be watching.
Another great video. Thank you for sharing with us. Happy Hunting. 👊🏻😎🤘🏻
As a Colorado detectorist myself, I really enjoy your content! I also wanted to let you know I hit a HUGE silver the mountain the other day :)
Nice work!
@@5280Adventures Thanks, happy hunting!
Not sure why this popped up as a new recommended video to watch, but glad it did. Watching it now!!!!
Rob
Florida Thunder
Weird! But thank you for watching this. I appreciate it.
Nice eagle button you guys are doing great and I know you will find the great stuff soon. Thanks for sharing Tony. Gl and HH
Excellent find with the infantry eagle button👍
The stinky was the culprit 😝😂
Well at least you know; it would've been worse if you had walked away and kept wondering 🤔
The ground is so hard to dig, with this heat baking it solid.
Cool video. There's got to be more good stuff there. GL & HH!
Awesome video! Really enjoy your vids. ATB & HH! 👍👍
Nice eagle button great to see you saving history! GL&HH!
Your videos are so informative!! Thank you for doing these!
Hey. In regards to the tiny, tiny piece of metal you found. You mentioned that you think it was a tiny metal nail. Well, I'm not very sure of this it just might very well be a Wrist watch pin. You know. Those ultra tiny pins that hold a Watch strap on the Watch itself. Now, that would be an amazing find knowing the timeframe of the past history of that place.. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if that's what it is..
I've heard others say that the cow patty puts off a signal. I guess it's true! lol. I bet that smelled good. lmao.
Looks like a cool place to dig! I dig it 🤙
LOL! Great stuff. 👍
It didn't disappear but your courage did! haha Talk about shitty targets!
Dig it. Just make a bigger plug around it. This is a huge area Tony to locate the town, could be anywhere. Looks like a lot of pheasant hunters there.
just keep digging lol cool finds tony
Great vid brother
hey tony nice 12th GA button !!! LMAO
Gee thanks Bill
Who keeps thumbing you down? Not cool, that is some flat land. Great a always
Digg it bro!! Little late lol
My targets evaporate as well. If you are looking for the location, work smarter, not harder. 😁
Go for it
Go for it you big baby
That cow must have had alot of iron in its diet lol
You said dig it all so dig it
Oh man! Digging a cow pattie for no treasure! That stinks!
Hahaha!!
hope you can find more here
How old was the town and what was the supposed name of the town
How does one join the Hart Group? I’m in Colorado and the granddaughter of an archeologist so this sounds like it’s right up my alley!

Dig it 👌👏
Lidar might be able to strip the vegitation to help you find more information
Dig it!

DIG THAT GIG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice finds.
Go for it Tony. It is just natural fertilizer
In the Dung signal isn't worth it. I'd walk away from that one. Not because of the poop just because
the signal was poop.
😊👍 Those cow patty's do put off a signal. It really happens for some reason, lol. I have found a bullet under one though. Hope ya'll find the town. Love your videos Mr. Tony! HH 👊😍👊❤
Pfff... over 90°? Thats winter for us in Yuma AZ
Love your videos! You ought to look into a small cheap "toy" drone to get some aerial shots of those areas where the terrain appears to change. I've made some amazing finds with mine... Also, there's some great apps that help in your research... if you're into that. Come join us in my Facebook group, Metal Detecting Videos, if you haven't already and keep those videos coming!!!
Cow pies ring up good!!! So does Lammas poop
Im new to metal detecting here in Colorado and am having trouble finding anywhere to go. How do you find places to hunt without risking a felony and a year in jail? Im worried ill never be able to get out and use my detector.
Permission is the key. Private permissions on private property are the best way to avoid any questions. Door knocking or snail mail (not suggested) are two ways to gain permission. In terms of public property (parks and schools), the ability to dig in parks is based upon its city location. Most cities allow it but some do not. A google search should be able to help you with that. Schools are a great place to hunt if you are just starting out. Playgrounds hold lots of clad coins and are always replenishing themselves! You are not "digging" in the gravel and woodchips and recovery is usually pretty quick. I can do a large playground in about 10-15 mins and come away with $1 or more in clad.
Where are you located? What type of metal detector do you have? What do you want to get from the hobby?
@@5280Adventures I am in Denver. Thanks so much for the reply and the time you took to write it. I love history more than anything. I ultimately just want to uncover some of that history. Coins, artifacts, belt buckles, and whatever else is out there is what I am looking for.
I will probably have to resort to knocking on doors, or reaching out to my alumni network, etc. Has anybody petitioned the US gov for a regulation change? It seems extremely dumb to claim all these buried artifacts as "government property", when nobody will ever see them again unless people in this community bring them to light. Heaven forbid somebody with a small hand trowel lifts up the dirt, pulls out a historic artifact, and puts the dirt back where nobody would ever notice.
Hell, make it permit based, similar to the Concealed carry permit. Certain areas will still be off limits. Require a class that teaches the ethics behind detecting and leave no trace guidelines. I dont understand why it is a felony and a year in jail in the first place.
Are you a city boy or a metal detectotrist?
That was the golden pile of dung. It must have been inoculated with psilocybin spores.
Cows usually fart nickels . Trust me .✌
Dig! At least it's not dig poop
Go for the dig, it's only cow poop
Snlff it out, might be gold coin, I don't leave anything behind.!!!!...
