this is why i like the zoom..on other multi effects especially in this price range theres a slight delay in changing patches which makes it unusable for live...zoom is the only one out of the nuxmg300 mooer ge150 and valeton that is fluid between patch changes.
Great video!!! Ordered this thing and can’t wait to get it delivered and you’ve just taught me so much about it greatly appreciated! Does it work without batteries and if not how long does it last with batteries before needing to buy new ones? Does it have a good overdrive and do you need to use the pedal to turn on overdrive or is pedal used only for expressive chuggs and feats? Many thank for the video and sorry for series of questions xD..
Zoom claims 18 hours on battery power. When on battery power, the unit is turned on by plugging your guitar into the INPUT jack (it has no discrete ON/OFF switch). It comes with an A/C adapter, and can also be powered by a USB connection. There's an ECO mode that will turn off the unit if left on for 10 hours, which can also be disengaged. It's got several overdrive effects. You can engage and disengage the OD 2 ways: switching it on/off with the left pedal when the OD is selected in the effects chain, or, going to an adjacent custom, user-assembled patch (i.e., Patch 50 w/o the OD effect, and another custom, user assembled patch, Patch 51, which you'd create with the same effects as in Patch 50, but with the OD engaged).
What a shame about this video, you are re-focusing far too much it makes me feel sick. A very knowledgeable production otherwise It may be worth re-doing the video, you have imparted a lot of information Thanks for your spending the time.
@@tristanoelrich3060 I, for one, care. I agree, there's no need to be mean about the focus issue, but I didn't think the comment you'd responded to was mean-spirited. The focus issue is a fatal flaw in this video. I couldn't watch it because of it. It was frustrating to watch. If I were producing this video, I would have edited it before posting it, and when I'd seen that the visuals were out of focus, I'd have re-shot the whole thing.
This is a good tutorial, but as others have said, this is kinda sad that it's struggling to focus. But it's a good guide so I can at least mess around with my setups, thank you
Hey! Can you post how to set the peddle to. WAH? Also, I play Jazz. How do I get a Jazz setting using Benson as an example. Can you help? By the way , I too am confused as hell. I've been trying to figure this thing out since I bought it. I'm a musician. I've played guitar for years. And let me tell you. I miss the old school pedals. LMAO!
The free version of kinemaster. Video editor allows you to blow things up as a layer. It allows brightness and contrast also. I would be glad to do a little tutorial. Anyways.I am struggling with the G 1 Four zoom..I am very ignorant about their system. I want to get some Nashville sound patches..I don't know if that's the sound. Is the program you are referring to on android devices. I subscribed.
Yeah, 'cause the lack of focus distracts, and skews the ability to understand what he's trying to convey, particularly when what he's explaining may not coincide every function he's depressing.
@@GDGClef1Sorry was having trouble with the camera. But most of the time I was pressing the large stomp buttons on the pedal to get left or right options. This is what you were seeing when the whole pedal wasn't in the video.

I got the 10 dollar cable at Sweetwater ..also the powered AC adapter. Batteries are always going out. Not pro but a lot of things are at dollar tree and there are still a few radio shacks around.
Just curious, why don't you use the PRE SELECT and SWAP PATCH feature? It will be a lot easier to navigate through all the patch you love, especially when it comes to live situations
Setting > Setup > PRE SELECT (make it ON). Manual page 31 (for SWAP page 25). Sorry no link. By the way this is a new feature (PRE SELECT) that zoom introduced in this product, they never put it on any other 2 footswitch product they've made so far.
That's why nobody knows how to use it lol there aren't many tutorials on it. I will try to figure out the manual but I would much rather have a live demonstration. If I can figure it out maybe another video is in order.
Nobody 'got there' yet (with G1XFOUR) i believe lol cause i watch all ZOOM G1XFOUR demo/review video on RUclips and there's NOT one video showcasing this feature. Enjoy and Keep rockin' 🤘🏻🍻🍻🤘🏻
Makes sense :-) I watched, hoping to see how to change the effect types contained in a chain. Changing the order of effects in a chain would also interest me. Thanks :-)
I know some pedals have a little lag when changing patches. Is that noticeable? Are you relying on some dead air/open space to switch patches? I only ask because some stuff I’ve written needs the added modulations or gain boosts to be seamless as the changes are very quick. I cannot have that weird sound change/dip to affect what I’m playing or it may throw the audience or even my drummer off.
Hello, do you know if the default presets are editable and can be saved? For example, the Bomb preset is weak and unusuable. I would like to create a new preset in that slot. Thanks.
Woooohhh! Seasick now. put the pedal down so we can stand a chance of seeing it. Thanks for trying but you aren't getting the message across like this.
I have never had an empty slot on mine. The problem with this pedal is that there isn't enough room in memory to hold all the effects. That is really frustrating.
Probably good info but you should just leave the device on a surface and hit the buttons...stop moving it back and forth in your hand... got vertigo in first few mins
I see someone is working on using a Raspberry Pi 4 to control these pedals. ruclips.net/video/Jl47NMdytPQ/видео.html He also seems to be creating a Ctrlr panel - he seems to be wanting to use a touchscreen to control the thing.
Thank you for this vid!! I just bought mine a few hours ago and had no clue how to use it lol the manual confused me even more. God bless you!
Excellent video, thank you! This is exactly how I want the pedal set up - you've saved me hours of strife trying to figure this out!
Thank you, I just bought it, your video was very useful
Thanks for this video, I was about to throw mine at the wall cause I couldn’t figure out how to create my own settings now I know. Thanks man!
lol right...👍🍺🔥
Thanks being looking for days to see what I wanted
Cool that was very helpful. Now i need money to buy that. Greetings from Manila, Philippines!😄

Very helpful instruction.
So THAT'S what I was doing wrong! Thanks for the help.
Thank you man. This save me a lot.
Thanks for the video buddy it helped me out a lot.
thank you so much really.......my saviour !!!!

That's how i use my g1next. Now i'm planning to buy g1x four.
Very helpful. Thanks man👍
Glad it helped
great video! just bought one yesterday,I want to find away to cancel the 50 presets and make 50 of my own,, Is this possible?
The focus issue is too distracting for me. I can't keep watching this. Sorry.
Ikr. So annoying
Okay, but lowkey nobody cares as long as ive learned what I needed to

I think abt this too man we have the same mind i am glad

good video man, but your focus gives me a headache

Changing the positions of effects within an effects chain is easily done with the unit.
Nice....
Whammy transpoze modelini nasıl kullanabilirim bu pedalda
I can't figure out how to lock in the volume change? It keeps defaulting back to the original.
hey, does the wahmmy effect have a octave configuration?
Thanks Chuck McGill
Is there a drop tunning effects in ths gadget??

Can this gadget give long sustain?
Hello, do you know if the default presets are editable and can be saved? For example, the Bomb preset is weak and unusuable. I would like to create a new preset in that slot. Thanks.
Factory preset patches are fully editable. You can totally alter the BOMB (for example) effects chain to create a completely different patch.
If we erase pitch and want to put another pitch in same patten than what can we do suggess me

Can u please tell that which amp models does the destortion effect has?

can this be done also in zoom g1 four? Need answer ASAP!!!!}
they are same, except that the g1x has an expression pedal for things like wah
Trying to figure out how to delete a patch
I’m loving your video but you gotta fix that focus!

G1x4 with boss ds-1/2 for distortion or g3xn
Is it good for lives playing?

I don't have the Tube screamer!
Can help me how to reset this in factory mode? Thanks

You know whats frustrating? When you put out a video that is blurry. Really?
How do I save after editing?
I must need glasses
My screen says empty, and yourse says clean, boost and wat. How did you edit that?
press settings then go to patches there ya go
It's too close. Can't focus that close....unless you have macro mode.
A demonstration would have been much better of you actually playing and switching
Thanks for the video.... Please learn how to FOCUS!
how to delete those empty chanels? iwant to remove them all mine is already full.
No need to delete them. They are meant to be programmed yourself and renamed.
Does this have built in noise gate?
Yes. It also has the ZNR effect (Zoom Noise Reduction) which can be placed within an effects chain as a pedal.
just like creating a new patch.?
Good info but way out of focus. It is hard to watch.
The info might have been useful but the in and out of focus made me quite viewing the video.
