Have had this pedal for 5 years ongoing now, and it's been used for everything from guitar to bass to vocals, shoegaze to jazz to metalgrind, live and studio recording. So needless to say this thang has made many miles to hell and beyond and back again. And NOW I'm just discovering the amp/cab sims, holy fuck I hardly ever use my amp for recording anymore, AND plugging this pedal into my 500 watt bass rig + cabs (amp EQ bypassed) means I now have a tube amp-ish sounding power rig, and my god it's the cleanest chords ever. Thank you Zoom you never seem to run out of surprises ✨️

I still have my PS02 and use it regularly for practice. The only thing I'm not liking about the G series pedals is that you cannot program the drums. It will only allow to change the kit and adjust tempo. It's a huge step down considering the PS02, as old as it is, has programmable drum program. You can select the fills and patterns, piece them together to suit your needs and then set it by length of measures so the drums don't continue infinitely.
      G series you're stuck with what's there.

Works well with one observation - it seems more likely to make your guitar sound microphonic if you don't use headphone (output to an amp) - at least this is what I notice.
I have some YT videos where I am upgrading various basses and playing into an Orange amp. Better pickups reduce this tendancy but without the aux in I don't notice issues.

Check out my vid, 'You', for ambience in tunnels with bass, it sounds huge. Ok am I missing something here? Typically, you have a pedal board lets just say 2 pedals one for clean the other a lead gain pedal, doesn't matter what. So I am in pedal 1 and playing rhythm then I go into a lead, so I hit pedal 2, HTF do you get back to pedal 1 without having to hit the left foot pedal 10 times. Basically, is there a way to switch from pedal to pedal without having to cycle through all the patches? No one in any video seems to show this. Think of being on stage, you need to switch back and forth between pedals seamlessly. Not seeing this with any video, and I don't want to drop the cash on this if it's useless for the stage.

Not fair to compare a $90 mfx pedal with ones costing $200+ ....... but even so, the amp modeling in the G1x Four / G1 Four pedals are nothing short of amazing for what they cost. Of course, if you don't learn how to program and create your own patches (on any pedal regardless of price) you are missing out on said pedals potential.

So do you need to plug it in a audio interface or does it act as a audio interface too

I don't own the unit yet but this is from page 10 of the PDF manual on Zoom's website:
      3. To use a computer, connect a USB cable (not included) to the USB port and the computer.
When using USB bus power to operate the unit, connecting this cable will turn it ON.
      Guitar Lab
By using Guitar Lab, you can manage patches and edit and add effects, for example from a computer.
Download Guitar Lab from the ZOOM website (www.zoom.co.jp).

@@MegaTahmid u need interface. The usb port is for updating or installing patches

The usb is just for editing or upgrading software but the output is for headphones direct or amp. Seeing as output is for headphones direct its possible you might be able to just use a 1/4 to 3.5 mm adapter and run it direct into a laptop. No one has confirmed this though. Not sure why no one has tried. You would need to use the amp and cab sims in pedals chain to get a decent sound with electric.

You should see who is the sound designer for this pedals ,you will be amazed :) ...
I don't think you want to play in hollow body jazz guitar with this effect processor, and maybe using a better guitarist ? I understand the guy is a good friend ;)

You don't need Stevie Ray Vaughan up there to hear what the device sounds like. They did just fine.
