Took my car in and they were going to charge $90 for it! Instead, I bought a filter on Amazon for $9 and followed this video for instillation, thank you so much!
Thanks for your video. Very helpful in showing how to swap out the filters. Couple of things I wanted to point out. The filter you removed is not as dirty as you think. Thats because it was an Activated Carbon filter. These look a mottled gray even when brand new. This is what the Ioniq has from the factory. The filter you replaced it with is a particulate filter (only). These are white when new. They filter particles like dust and pollen, but in order to also filter exhaust fumes and smells you need a Carbon filter which are typically more expensive than the particulate filter alternatives. Secondly, these filters are labeled with an air flow arrow on the side. Its briefly visible on the filter at the start of the video. You need to ensure its pointing in the right direction when installed. From memory, Ioniq's suck air in from top to bottom so the arrow should be pointing down when installed. Hope this helps you and others Cheers
Thanks @robchanning6881 ! I needed confirmation on the airflow direction (my filter was missing) and I got it from your comment. Very much appreciated!

Thanks! This is very helpful information! Definitely when there’s kids in the car.

Thank you for adding this info! I too needed confirmation on which way the arrow needed to be pointed for the airflow.
Is the air flow direction upwards or downwards?
Thanks man, you saved me.
Nicely done.
Thanks
Thanks great video
