Holy moly! This is a great tool to help the consumer understand the price point on these parts. Looks like I'll be ordering a set for my Jetfire come Christmas!
I just placed my order for the whole set, nice to see the “behind the scenes” and the care you put into your work. As a customer, I appreciate that! I can’t wait to put the set on my Jetfire!
Awesome work! Love seeing the behind the scenes with production 👍 love the idea of poly bags. I have a heat sealer for food but never thought of using them for parts.
I'm currently upgrading my production line. I hope to have a massive restock within the next month! I'll make a big announcement on my FB page as soon as everything is back up 👍
Pretty cool video! Just curious because I don't know much about 3d printing. Why wouldn't you want to use the resin printer for all the parts? Is it a strength issue, or durability, cost ? What's the advantage of one over the other?
Good question! The reason is all of the above 👍 Resin printers are wonderful for making high fidelity parts at incredible speeds with high build volumes, but the main tradeoffs are durability and material cost. In my practice, most resin printed parts don't have much give to them; they tend to be more brittle than FDM printed parts. So I primarily use resin printing to make gun accessories and parts with simple push fit connections. FDM printers will make more durable parts for sure, so I like to strike a balance using both types of printing. I think the best advantage of the resin printer is it's speed! No matter how many parts you fit on a single print, the print time doesn't change. This is because the printer only has one mode of travel (the z-axis), so everything along the x and y-axis cures simultaneously. A traditional FDM printer would need to travel across the x and y-axis to print more parts at once, thus adding tremendous time to the print. On my resin printer, I can print 16X Jetfire rifles in 10 hrs all in one print! Whereas, my FDM printer would take 4 DAYS to do the same. This is why I need 8 FDM printers, and only 1 Resin printer. Also Resin printed parts are much easier to sand and paint!
Hi. Are you aware that USPS have suspended shipping to Australia, amongst other countries? Would you consider using a different service, such as eBay International Standard Delivery (please see link in first reply)?
Thanks for the comment! I went back and read the terms of the restriction again and noticed that eBay international standard delivery still works! I'm going to update my listings to allow this now! Since September of 2020, I was informed by eBay that USPS was suspending first class international packages; so I stopped shipping to Australia till they lifted the restriction. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention! I'm going to fix this right away.
Do you do repair parts?! My Earthrise Bluestreak Roof broke! My son lost his guns and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Tracks roof breaks...Awesome work by the way.
I would say sanding and making molds should take precedent over a new printer. Seeing "print lines" in the parts isn't ideal. But major kudos, nonetheless!!

Aw, thank you! I'd love to make an updated video showing the process for the new sets...it's so much easier now fr.
