Also, I can confirm as an American living abroad that driving takes some getting used to, but not as long as you might imagine. It took a couple of days of reminding myself out loud every time I came to an intersection where I was turning that I was staying left. It still takes reminding sometimes that the slow lane/fast lanes on the highway are reversed. Most issues only come up when there’s little traffic on the road to emulate, but I’ve never ended up going the wrong way on a road, though I’ve heard of that happening. I do still walk to the wrong side of the car almost every time I get in, however, and it’s been 20 years, so some habits die hard!
